Padme shouldn’t have been interested in Anakin when they first met. I’m all for an age difference, but not when one of the people involved hasn’t even gone through puberty yet. Sure, Obi Wan was bound by the Jedi Code, but surely he could have broken his vow to be with Padme. After all, he was only a padawan at that point.
With all the other unusual stuff that happened in Episode I, this romance would have fit right in. There seemed to be a connection forming as the two shared emotional stories of loss. That’s how it begins. I like to think that if Qui-Gon hadn’t met his untimely demise, he would have gone back to Tatooine with flowers.
The seeds of flirtation were planted from the moment Finn and Rey set eyes on one another. Plus, he risked everything to ensure her safety. I was getting some pretty heavy couple vibes every time the two shared the screen. With the new movie coming out next year, I think that romance might be awakening.
I know these droids are always bickering with one another, but classic sitcoms have taught me that it is a completely normal thing for couples to do. They complete each other, playing off one another’s strengths in order to save the day. That platonic chemistry could easily be taken further. You’ve seen how upset they are when they’re apart.
Can you imagine a relationship with two strong, silent types? Neither Darth Vader nor Boba Fett have much to say, but when they do speak, it's delightfully quotable. They dress alike, have similar goals of eliminating the galaxy's heroes, and even seem to enjoy some of the same hobbies, such as freezing people in carbonite. It might be a match made in Cloud City.
These two powerful Jedi masters would have so much to talk about. They were already serving on the council together, and even when they didn’t see eye to eye, they always had a deep respect for one another. Sure, there’s the height difference, but Yoda had that levitating seat that would allow them to hold hands on romantic walks.
