'Dark Places' Trailer Released, Leaves Us Wanting More

If you loved Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl then you’re going to flip out because her next blockbuster hit has released a trailer. Three years before Gone Girl was published, Flynn gave us Dark Places, a super twisted thriller that might just rival Gone Girl's shock factor once it hits the big screen. Starring seasoned veteran, Charlize Theron, and talented up-and-comers Chloë Grace Moretz, Tye Sheridan, and Nicholas Hoult, Dark Places promises to not only shock us, but present a quality movie-experience.

While Theron might not fit the bill in looks (her character Libby is supposed to be very short and disfigured from her horrific childhood ordeal), I have high hopes that she’ll still knock it out of the park despite the fact that she’s drop-dead-gorgeous. There’s also no doubt that Moretz will be able to deliver the sinister, seductive qualities of her character, Diondra, after demonstrating her acting chops in her award-winning roles in Carrie and Kick-Ass.

Unfortunately, a U.S. release date has yet to be announced, but it is premiering in France on March 30th. If you’re like me and don’t think you can possibly wait for an American movie release, then I suggest checking the price of plane tickets for a quick trip to France. Or if you can’t afford an international plane ticket (also like me) then watch the trailer on repeat.
