How Do the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro Compare?

In a competitive market where there are two top phone manufacturers, Google phones had a bumpy start entering the marketplace. However, more features have been included with each new Google phone model. Both Google Pixel models are quite a step up from the previous models, with a Tensor chipset, bigger battery, larger display, and telephoto camera (Pro model only). As of 2022, there is a $300 price difference between the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro. Read on to learn more about the features of the two phones as well as a comparison to help you decide if that $300 price difference is worth it.

What Are the Features of the Google Pixel 6?

The Google Pixel 6 comes in several different colors, including Stormy Black, Kinda Coral, and Sorta Seafoam. Its resolution is 1080x2400 pixels, with a display screen size of 6.4 inches. The Google 6 Pro has 8 GB of RAM, with 128 GB and 256 GB storage choices. Its processor is the Google Tensor with Titan M2, which is a strong upgrade from the Google Pixel 5 and 5A. The rear camera is a 50MP wide-angle and 12MP ultrawide, and the front camera is 8MP with an 84-degree field of view. For video, the rear camera offers 4K and 1080p, and the front is 1080p. Its zoom is a 7x Super Res digital, with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz.

It also carries some special features, such as Magic Eraser, Cinematic Pan, Gorilla Glass, 5G Wi-Fi, dust and water resistance, 30W fast charging, five years of OS and security updates, Face Unblur, Motion Mode, and Real Tone. It’s important to note that the phone does not have a headphone jack.

What Are the Features of the Google Pixel Pro 6?

The Google Pixel 6 Pro also has several color choices, including Stormy Black, Cloudy White, and Sorta Sunny. It has a resolution of 1440x3120, with a display size of 6.7 inches. It also has a Google Tensor with Titan M2 processor and 12 GB of RAM. There are several storage choices for the Google Pixel Pro 6, including 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. Its camera is 50MP wide-angle, with 12MP ultrawide and 48MP telephoto. The front camera is 11.1 MP with a 94-degree field of view. Video for the rear camera is 4K and 1080p, and the front is also 4K and 1080p. It also has a 4x optical and 20x Super Res digital zoom. Its refresh rate is up to 120 Hz. The Pro also comes with special features, but they are almost exactly like the Google Pixel 6.

How Do the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro Compare With Each Other?

The Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro are very similar to each other, but there are some differences. The most noticeable difference is the difference in camera. The resolution and optical zoom are higher in the Pixel 6 Pro, and the third rear camera is the telephoto lens with a 4x optical zoom. Many reviewers have recommended the Pixel 6 Pro for its camera features, which are more robust than the newest iPhone model. The Pro also has a bigger battery and, therefore, longer battery life and a bigger display with a higher resolution. There is also the price difference between the two, which is $300.

Which Google Pixel Should You Choose?

The Google Pixel you choose has a lot to do with what features you’re looking for. If picture taking and larger screen size are important to you, the Google Pixel 6 Pro may be a good choice as it has one of the best cameras on the market as of 2022. There is a .3-inch difference between screen sizes, and the Pixel Pro has a larger display with better resolution and refresh rate. If you watch many videos on your phone, the Pro is a good choice in this case as well. There is also a longer battery life in the Pro — if you use your phone often and need the battery to last, the Pro has a larger battery, which helps elongate its life.

It’s also important to remember that the special features are equally the same between the two, and the Google Pixel 6 model still has plenty of upgraded features and a solid camera.
