The Philadelphia Eagles have the most notorious fan base in the NFL, with stories about them even pelting Santa Claus with snowballs and booing injured opponents as well as their own team. But with such strong emotions, they also give incredible support when the team is winning.

Ron Jaworski played in the 70s and is still adored since he led them to a Super Bowl. More recently, Donovan McNabb (2004 season), Carson Wentz and Nick Foles (2017 season), and Jalen Hurts (2022 season) led Philadelphia to the Super Bowl, with Foles winning Super Bowl MVP. Recent success has moved the Eagles' dollar value up by 18%.

The city on the bay established a great fan base in the early 70s. Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Nick Bosa spearhead the current team. Their continued excellence allows the team's value to continue to rise. Their current shot at the Super Bowl will drive it up more.

The Washington Commanders (Redskins) have a storied history, with the highlights coming mostly in the 80s and 90s with three Super Bowl victories under Coach Joe Gibbs. Rabid fans filled stadiums dressed up as Hogs (the nickname for their beloved offensive line) and in burgundy and gold.

Early success by Sammy Baugh started the fanfare, developing a deep following among local fans; Sonny Jurgenson kept it alive; then Joe Theisman took it to new heights. The recent ownership by Daniel Snyder has paid out large contracts to try to attract talent, but team success has not matched the contracts.

Since those early days, the Jets have had an up-and-down history. Fan favorites included the “Sack Exchange,” which led the team to the AFC championship game in 1982, and Mark Sanchez, who took the Jets to back-to-back AFC title games in 2009 and 2010.

4 Super Bowls (2 SB Wins)   2023 Record 8-9

The Raiders have a certain mystique. They are the rebels, the bandits, the bad guys, if you will. Al Davis promoted this image for the silver and black team from Oakland back in the 70s, and it stuck with fans. Then, their play embraced it with brutal physical play from great defenses led by Willie Brown, Bubba Smith, Rod Woodson, and the like.

Davis also admonished an aerial attack during the days of the NFL being run heavy. He was ahead of his time. Lamonica and Stabler throwing long bombs to Branch and Biletnikoff became must-watch TV. Their rebel brand now resides in Las Vegas.
