Four Festive Halloween Table Topper Ideas

If you’re planning a Halloween party, you may be looking for the perfect table topper. Here are some easy do-it-yourself Halloween table topper ideas you can make to foster the perfect party ambiance.

  1. Candy Corn Vases

Most people already have glass vases in their house for one reason or another. You can create a lovely centerpiece by using the vases you already own and by buying a couple bags of festive candy corn or candy pumpkins. You can fill the vases with the candy and that alone would be adorable, or you can kick it up a notch and add candles. Most candles aren’t tall enough on their own, but you can easily fix this problem. Simply put a can of veggies in the bottom of your vase and place the candle on top. Then, fill the vase with candy and cover the can of veggies. This will give the illusion of a floating candle in the vase.

  2. Can Luminaries

For a cheap and beautiful DIY project, try making tin can luminaries for your table. You’ll need cans that have been washed and dried, a hammer, an ice pick, and candles. Using a marker, draw dots in any pattern or letter you like. Once you’ve got your dots drawn, use a hammer and an ice pick to punch holes where you drew the dots. After you have punched all your holes (carefully!), you can decorate the cans with festive ribbons or raffia and create an adorable table topper. When it’s time for your party, place tea lights inside each can to illuminate the designs you punched out.

  3. Repurposed Wine Bottles

Start saving your wine bottles to make this project. Once you have at least three, wash and dry each one. Remove the label with cleaner and you’re ready to start your project. Of course, you can make any design you wish, but we’re going to stick with the candy corn theme. Using white, orange, and yellow spray paint, spray a third of the bottle with each color horizontally. Try using a wet sponge to blend between each color to create an ombre effect. This makes each bottle look more professionally made and gives it a more elegant look.

  4. Button Pumpkins

What better way to use pumpkins on Halloween than to put them on a table? Using black or white buttons, you can make your pumpkin even cuter. Using superglue, attach buttons of various shapes and colors to make designs on your pumpkins. You can also use the buttons to spell spooky words, like “boo”. Once the glue dries, you can tie black and orange tulle around the pumpkin stem to pump up the cuteness.
