How to (Legally) Get Adobe Creative Suite for Free

Adobe has some of the most expensive software around. The newest version of Creative Suite, Creative Cloud, costs $49.99 per month! However, there are ways you can get this software for free if you don’t mind stepping back a few versions. Recently, Adobe has begun allowing you to download Creative Suite 2 absolutely free through its website.

To download, visit this link to CS2 downloads and sign in with your Adobe account. If you don’t have one, you can create one quickly, and all you need is a valid email address. Once you’re taken to the “Downloads” page, scroll down until you see “PhSp_CS2_English.” The software is available for both Mac and Windows. Some of the newer features aren’t available on the programs, such as puppet warp for Photoshop, but it’s still a great deal.

While not free, college students can get the most recent version at deeply discounted prices. Creative Cloud for students costs $19.99 per month, and you can get a discount of 60% on other Adobe software. Visit the Creative Cloud Education page to learn more.

If you aren’t sure whether you want to purchase Adobe Creative Suite, you can also test any of its software for free. Visit the Adobe Downloads page and browse the free product trials. You can test each one, although you do need an Adobe account. If you don’t have one, it takes two seconds to sign up, and you’ll be in business!
