High Heel Hell

There’s a theory that only a man could have created high heels because anyone who has worn them knows they are fashionably torturous. They pinch in places I wish they wouldn’t. The taller the heel, the higher the chance of us having a catwalk catastrophe in our devastatingly beautiful torture devices. The bottom of heels never have enough grip to keep us from slipping.
Pantyhose Runs

While there are some no-rip pantyhose on the market, I wish every pair is tear-proof. I end up going through way too many in a year. Even the TINIEST hole will exacerbate a run. People say using clear polish will stop any tears, but sometimes it’s a lost cause.
Super Sheer Blouses

Did every fashion designer get together and decide that the majority of blouses should be sheer and worn with a tank top underneath? Is this a ploy to get us to buy more clothes? That thing where the tank top bunches up underneath the blouse is annoying, too.

Skirts vs. The Wind

Extreme word of caution on a very windy day: never wear a skirt or dress. Otherwise, you could end up pulling a Marilyn Monroe. We can save ourselves the embarrassment of flashing the world by wearing Spanx underneath or avoid wearing flowy skirts on days the wind is out of control.
Designer Bags

The material on a lot of designer bags is fickle. Designer handbags need to be handled like a newborn baby. For instance, Vachetta leather (untreated Italian leather) will patina (turn brown) if exposed to water, oils from your hands, or sunlight. Handbag repairs add up, too!

Panty Lines

It’s hard to tell when we have visible panty lines because we can’t really turn around and check. We can only hope some kind soul will tell us when our panty lines are showing.

Losing an Earring

I have lost way too many earrings to count. And, for some reason, it’s always only one side of a pair even if I secure both sides with similar earring backings. My jewelry organizer is full of single earrings that are missing their partner.
Fake Pockets

Why bother putting pockets on clothes if they aren’t functional? Jeans with fake, sewn-on pockets are the worst. Don’t get me started on the teeny, tiny pocket that barely fits a pinky finger. On the flip side, finding a dress or skirt with pockets is like discovering the Holy Grail.
Spanx

I’m going to admit that I have places on my body I’d like to smooth out and hide. Spanx are great to keep everything in, as long as it doesn’t feel like it’s squeezing the life out of you. Finding the right amount of “squeeze” is a pain.

Blouse Boob Gap

Well-endowed ladies often struggle with the dreaded “boob gap”, where a cute blouse will fit and button perfectly EXCEPT for the chest area. We shouldn’t be punished for being more blessed in the chest.

Zipping Your Own Dress

Dresses with zippers in the back are cruel. We either have to stretch way back there and zip it up ourselves or be at the mercy at someone else zipping you. Better hope they don’t zip up your hair while they’re at it!
Low-Cut Tops

Low-cut tops are nice for showing off womanly curves, but some tops are a little too low. Rock it if you’re comfortable, but we shouldn’t have to add another layer underneath to cover up!

Makeup Stains

One of the most frustrating fashion struggles we have to face is changing a shirt and getting makeup all over it. Bonus points if the shirt is white or handwash only.

Bras with Broken Underwires

Let’s have a moment of silence for all of our favorite bras with broken underwire that we refuse to replace. Just because a piece of wire is poking us doesn’t mean that the bra is totally unwearable, right?? We may be in denial here.

Jumpsuit or Romper

Jumpsuits and rompers look so fashionable until it’s time to use the bathroom. Reality hits us that we’ve got to completely undress in order to do our business. Wearing one makes us wish we didn’t just drink so much water!

Unnecessary Designs

Imagine finding the perfect article of clothing. It fits to a T and looks good in every angle…except for the back. There’s a ridiculous graphic/saying/image on the back that makes us recoil and put it back on the hanger.

Accidentally Tucking In Your Dress

When going to the bathroom, we’ve got a mental checklist running in our minds when we leave. Did I grab my purse? Do I have my phone? Did I really just tuck my dress into my underwear? The horror.
Sitting With a Short Dress or Skirt

It’s almost impossible to look ladylike while sitting with a short dress or skirt. There’s a fine line between sitting comfortably and making sure we’re not showing more skin than we planned.
Hair Tangling in Necklaces

Necklaces that catch onto your hair and get tangled should be banned from stores. We don’t have time (or the patience) to get caught in our own jewelry.

Big Chest and Ugly Bras

It seems like lingerie stores don’t really cater to women with larger chests as much as they should. We’re often stuck with nude colored bras or the ugliest designs that no one cared to buy.
