2015 Swim: Keep Cool in These 5 Hot Trends

Suntans, beaches, cocktails, and new swimsuits; what could be better about the summer months ahead? Even though your closet is probably already littered with the swimsuits of summers past, there’s always room for a couple more. The new trends of this year are so cute and sexy that they’ll be sure to inspire you to show off your rockin’ figure in one of these fantastic styles.

  1. Colorblock
This is definitely one of the best trends you can wear to make a splash at the beach. Triangl is one of the most popular brands in this style, and they have released a wide array of colors and patterns in bandeaus, halters, and string bikinis alike. They even have solid-colored bikinis if you love the style, but want to go for something a bit more subtle.
  2. Intricate Backs
When shopping for a swimsuit, the way it looks from the front is important, but don’t forget that the back of the suit is almost as important when it comes to your overall look. Crochet and strappy backs are leading the pack, and a great brand you should check out for a wide variety is L*Space. Even after you’re done at the beach or the pool, you can throw a backless shirt over one of these bikinis for an effortless summery look.
  3. Wrap Style
Wrap style dresses are all the rage in the fashion world this spring, and new, wrap-style bikinis seem to be taking the poolsides by storm as well. Just about every brand, including Victoria’s Secret and Venus are embracing the sultry wrap (even if it may give you interesting tan lines).
  4. One Pieces
These aren’t your mother’s one piece swimsuits. Surprisingly enough, designers have come out with a wide array of one pieces that are actually just as sexy (if not sexier) than the traditional bikini. You can find them with cute cutouts, patterns, and even mesh insets. So, don’t limit yourself to two pieces this summer!
  5. Crop Top Bikini
Now your swimsuit can double as a shirt! Sort of. Only if you’re at the beach. These actually provide a little more coverage for your torso and look adorable with a string or Brazilian bottom. You can find these readily available at Target if you’re on a budget or if you have a little cash to spare, check out Revolve Clothing.
