For any bride, the makeup is one of the main details of the wedding look that can either enhance or detract from her overall appearance on the special day. All it takes is one wrong shade to make your bridal look fall apart.
- Applying Dark or Bright Eye Shadow
Many brides want to create drama by adding bold eye shadow. Instead of applying a shade that stands out, stick with neutral colors that compliment your eye color. Avoid bright colors and dark shadows. These are two harsh for a bridal look and do nothing to enhance your natural beauty. Make sure to blend your eye shadow colors properly.
- Too Much Bronzer
It's normal to want a tan on your wedding day, but using too much bronzer on your face can make you look orange in your wedding photos. Instead of over applying the bronzer, use a tinted moisturizer to give your skin a natural glow and apply an appropriate shade of blush. You want to look like Cinderella, not her pumpkin carriage.
- Heavy Foundation
Many brides over apply foundation in the hopes of appearing flawless. Although foundation can cover up blemishes and even out skin tone, it can also appear thick and enhance pores. Allow your skin to appear natural and radiant with one or two layers of foundation and a light layer of powder to finish your look. This will guarantee your make up stays in place all day, but won’t leave you with an inch of make up on your face.
- Thin Eyebrows
Thin eyebrows are often a result of over-plucking and can make the forehead appear large. Instead of plucking your eyebrows and filling them back in, leave them be. Have your brows cleaned up and then touched up with some color if necessary. You won’t look like yourself if you over-pluck your brows for your wedding, and being yourself is the most important thing.
- Nude Lips
Nude lips might be in right now, but the makeup trend can also make you look washed out and unnatural. Although many women opt for nude lips on their wedding day in hopes of a glam bridal look, it often causes lips to appear nonexistent in photos. Instead, use a tinted lip gloss that adds a bit of natural color.
