Blunt layers are where it's at! Layers are easy to wear for just about everyone, which is one reason why we love them. This type of cut means that instead of blending your layers so that they flow indiscreetly into each other, the ends of your hair are blunt and distinct. This cut sounds off-putting at first, but it's really not that much different than normal layers.

Blunt Layers

This look is great for faking volume. Layers inherently add body to your hair, and lobbing off the longest layer to the same length further gives the impression of thick, full, and healthy locks. This style is especially popular paired with a modern balayage, cool-toned highlights, and curtain bangs.

Too bad that it was notoriously difficult to maintain on your own at home.
