He isn’t the cranky old man he played in Gran Torino, but Eastwood has definitely gotten to a point where he doesn’t care much about what other people think of him. When he received backlash about interviewing an empty chair representing President Obama at the Republican National Convention in 2012, he simply responded with, “One advantage of being my age is that you know, what can they do to ya?”

Believe it or not, Clint Eastwood actually tried his hand at a singing career. His love of music is still present throughout his life, and he will occasionally perform piano sets. His self-taught piano play blew an audience away at Carnegie Hall in 1999. What can’t he do?

Since he first began his career, Eastwood has made it clear that he believes in the importance of healthy dietary habits. But, with his tough guy persona, it is difficult to believe that he is a strict vegan. While it is tempting to lose healthy eating habits as you get older, he has found a way to maintain his nutritious lifestyle.

Eastwood is a frequent flier, but he doesn’t take Southwest. No, he prefers to fly his own vessels! In fact, he has been known to fly his helicopter to the movie studio in order to avoid traffic.

Not only is he still behind the camera, but he is also picking up handfuls of award nominations along the way. His last film, American Sniper, broke many box office records, and he was 84 when it was released in 2015.

Eastwood loves to buy things, not in a flashy display of wealth, but to share his passions with the community. In 1971, he opened an English-themed pub called Hog’s Breath, located in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. He was even briefly the mayor in the 1980’s.

How many people over the age of 80 actively participate in transcendental meditation? Eastwood believes in keeping his mental state as sharp as possible, and his efforts have really paid off. His diet and exercise routine keep him in amazing shape for any age!

Passionate about the sport, Eastwood owns the Tehàma Golf Club and is a primary investor in the famed Pebble Beach Golf Links. When he isn’t playing for leisure, Eastwood can be seen hosting celebrity golf tournaments and donating the proceeds to charity.

I don’t know how you get much cooler than that! At a private function in 2012, Pebble Beach Pro-Am guests were treated to Eastwood and Bill Murray covering Looking Glass’ “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)”. As you can imagine, the crowd went absolutely wild!
