In an interview with The Daily Beast, actor Dennis Quaid responded to questions regarding the Trump administration’s handling of the pandemic back in 2020. “Well, to tell you the truth, I think the president is handling it in a good way. We see him on television every day, he’s involved, and the travel ban early on was a great idea—which he did in spite of protest about that.”
“And I think Trump,” Quaid continued, “no matter what anybody thinks of him, is doing a good job at trying to get these states—and all of the American people—what they need, and also trying to hold our economy together and be prepared for when this is all over.”
Dennis is still a die-hard Trump supporter, recently he's been on the record with Piers Morgan saying " He [Trump] just makes sense."
Legendary musician Gene Simmons told Good Morning Britain during a live broadcast that the “world has never been better,” citing President Trump as a contributing factor of how politics has “forever changed.”
“Unemployment in the United States is the lowest it’s been in 50 years — 5-0…More people are working. More people are making more money. Unions are more powerful.”
In January of 2020, Irish UFC Champion Conor McGregor responded to one of the president’s tweets with praise despite his inability to vote in the upcoming election.
In his tweet, McGregor deems Trump a “phenomenal president” and “quite possibly the USA G.O.A.T. Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him. No easy feet [sic]. Early stages of term also. Incredible.”
McGregor still has the warm-fuzzies for former president Dondald Trump, maybe he just admires his determination and persistency.
Controversial actress Roseanne Barr has been one of Trump’s most public supporters after running her own campaign for president in 2012 as a Green Party candidate.
First in 2016, Barr said, “I think we would be so lucky if Trump won [against Hillary Clinton]... To me, he’s saying that the order of law matters.” In the years following this interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Barr takes to Twitter to reaffirm her commendation of the president.
Maybe she has a soft spot for the former president...from one washed-up TV star to another.
A possibly unexpected addition to this list is WWE legend Hulk Hogan.
According to CBS News, Hogan tweeted, “Thank you God for the highly favored miracle, thank you for the shift and thank you for the truth,” in reaction to Trump’s 2016 win. A 2015 TMZ Sports article claims Hogan says “he thinks the country is finally ready for Vice President Hogan, brother.”
Long-time friend of President Trump, Mike Tyson told HuffPost LIVE in 2015 that “[Trump] should be president of the United States.”
In the interview, he advocated for the presidency, saying, “Let’s try something new. Let’s run America like a business, where no colors matter. Whoever can do the job, gets the job.”
Mike Tyson and Donald Trump have been publically adoring each other for several years. In May of 2024, the former president even shared a fake picture of Mike Tyson on Truth Social thanking him for his continued support. The doctored photo showed Mike Tyson expressing support in a fake T-shirt that said “If You Don’t Like Trump Then You Probably Won’t Like Me... And I’m OK With That.”
Kid Rock has combined his singer-songwriter roots with political action, performing at a September 2020 rally alongside Donald Trump Jr. In June 2019, USA Today claims Kid Rock complimented the "down-to-earth and cool” Trump on their "awesome" at the Detroit Golf Club.
Kid Rock’s admiration doesn’t solely focus on the sitting president, however. “I always thought Obama was cool as [expletive]. I didn't like his politics, but I'm like: That's one cool [expletive]. You kind of have to be for president. Trump was just off the map, I have to say.”
“I like Donald Trump,” American basketball player Dennis Rodman told Sports Illustrated in 2019. While he doesn’t “like” Trump as the commander-in-chief, necessarily, Rodman does still think he’s “cool as [expletive].”
“Donald Trump makes me laugh. He tries to be this holier-than-thou guy, and I kid him about that every time I see him, I don’t look at him like the president, I look at him like a friend. He can carry a torch with me anytime, someone who I can sit down, chit chat, and have a beer with.”
Cheers star Kirstie Alley recently sent out a tweet in March in a praising “Dear Mr. President” format.
“I wanted to thank you for ur recent decorum, sincerity, & care towards us. You’re taking charge & leading in a manner needed & wanted for this country. I highly commend you for ur boundless energy & willingness to solve problems. Thank you.”
Famous country singer and first-season winner of All-Star Celebrity Apprentice Trace Adkins has taken the route of Kid Rock, displaying his creative prowess at political events, including performing at the 2020 Republican National Convention in August.
"I don't know if it's a wall or if it's drones or whatever. I think we need to have a secure border," Adkins told Radio.com. "We all have doors on our houses." And to Country Rebel, Adkins admitted that it’s a “beautiful thing” that Trump is able to “say whatever [he] want[s] to say” without worrying about the opinions of others.
Peyton Manning, one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks in history, spoke alongside Donald Trump at a Republican retreat in January 2017 but has never publicly endorsed the president.
Bleach Report notes that Manning was pictured with Donald Trump Jr. in a Tweet back in 2016 with the hashtags #MakeAmericaGreatAgain and #Trump2016 and reportedly phoned Trump with congratulations on his election win. However, they clarify that Manning said just because the president and him were friends "doesn’t mean you agree with everything they say or they do."
Star of reality series Duck Dynasty, Willie Robertson hasn’t been shy about his support for the President. The Robertsons have been involved with politics since 2013 when they were invited to the White House by then-President Barack Obama. Additionally, Willie spoke at the Republican National Convention in 2016.
"[Trump]'s not a politician and so that's what I loved about him is that he's not a politician. He's not polished and he says stuff," Willie Robertson told ABC News. "I think he'll find his groove in there and hopefully, I hope he can work with Democrats. That's what I was most hoping for was that somebody can get in there that can work together.”
Rick Harrison, star of hit reality show Pawn Stars, has been vocal about his support for the president since the 2016 election. Jilliane Angeline from WTAP managed to catch him for an interview at the 2020 Conservative Political Action Conference.
He stated that to “see a better life” for his kids he needed to vote for Trump. “[Trump] is literally going to go down in history as one of our greatest presidents, he really is. He has done an absolute amazing job,” adding on that he’s “a 100% Trumper.”
Another singer, Ted Nugent, told NME that he was ready for Trump to “crush the status quo.”
During the spring 2020 interview, Nugent emphasized, “[Trump]’s on a mission from God. This is divine intervention. We needed a status quo crusher, and I can’t think of anybody except Donald J. Trump that could have pulled it off with such effectiveness, such absolutism and, shall I say, aplomb.”
Clueless actress Stacey Dash has, in recent years, joined the conservative political circuit. In her own article published by Patheos, Dash claims, “[Trump]’s not violent, he’s just ‘street.’ ... there is something about growing up in New York, a certain toughness instilled, a certain level of ‘street’ that can’t be ignored.”
She writes, “That’s why Americans LOVE him. They are tired of being pushed around. They want someone who will not put up with nonsense... He’s not apologizing. He’s not backing down. He knows both sides of the street. He knows the game. And he knows how to WIN IT. Like I’ve said… he doesn’t bring a knife to a gun fight! And that’s why we support him.”
Isaiah Washington, notable actor on Grey’s Anatomy, is a former Democrat and supporter of the #WalkAway movement to the Republican side of politics. In an interview with Nuff Said, he verified voting for “policy over the person.”
Yet in 2019, Washington used Twitter to convey his positive thoughts regarding the sitting president: “@realDonaldTrump you freed 3,000 Federal Prisoners, got 16,000 in drug rehabilitation programs and now you just need to deliver #Reparations2020 #FirstStepAct.”
Second-season feature on Celebrity Apprentice, entrepreneur Jesse James told Graham Bensinger on YouTube that Trump is the “perfect guy to handle” the pandemic crisis. “He’s handling it great… People just need to cut him some slack and let him do his job.”
Additionally, he’s hand-crafted a gun just for Trump, Forbes reports. "I will take the gun to the White House and give it to him. Hopefully, it will end up on display in his presidential library."
Stephen Baldwin happily takes a unique stance from his family in regard to politics, stating Trump is "already doing a great job and doing things to make the economy better quickly.”
The Independent reports Stephen’s views, who stated, "The Democratic side wanted what they wanted, and they lost. So now what I’m excited about it, how quickly that community is going to come on board to support Donald Trump so he can make America great again.”
The Hollywood Reporter presents an array of actor Scott Baio’s comments supporting the Trump administration. "I don't give a [expletive] about Hollywood liberals. They're gonna hate the guy no matter what. If he cured cancer, they'd be on him for putting oncologists out of business."
"All this does is help Trump because people have had it,” he tells THR. “Conservatives in Hollywood have had it. We know who Trump is, and we don't believe the propaganda, and I don't think most of the country does, either. The media is almost irrelevant. It's predictable and boring. I want the man to get his agenda through, and everything else is a sideshow."
Kanye West has famously sported Trump’s signature red MAGA hat, citing that Trump’s ability to say “what isn’t culturally what you're supposed to say” attracted him, according to the Washington Examiner.
Yet West’s long-standing support for the President is waning as he runs for office himself. During an interview with Forbes, West further explains his endorsement of Trump. “One of the main reasons I wore the red hat as a protest to the segregation of votes in the Black community. Also, other than the fact that I like Trump hotels and the saxophones in the lobby… Trump is the closest president we’ve had in years to allowing God to still be part of the conversation.”
Heavily awarded country artist Loretta Lynn affirmed her endorsement of President Trump in an interview with Country Rebel.
“Trump has sold me – what more can I say?” Lynn states. “I just think he’s the only one who’s going to turn this country around."
DailyMotion reports Gary Busey’s comments supporting Trump back in 2015, claiming that he “can change the country after the last eight years,” referring to the Obama administration.
The unconventional actor further praised Trump as a friend and as a leader to Fox News. “I know him personally. I know him professionally. He’s a great guy. He’s sharp. He’s fast.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice used Twitter to congratulate Trump on his 2016 win. “Congratulations @realDonaldTrump on your victory,” she wrote. “I am praying that you do a good job and help all Americans live a better & safer life.”
Earlier in February of that year, Giudice appeared on Watch What Happens Live, saying, “Of course I’m gonna vote for Donald Trump. I think he’s amazing. I think he’ll make a great president.”
According to Rolling Stone, Tila Tequila endorsed Trump on YouTube back in 2016. "I actually started looking into things that he's all about and I definitely think that he should definitely be our new president. As you all know, I am very anti-vax and Donald Trump is also anti-vax.”
The former reality star, with her strong social media presence, also used Twitter to convey her thoughts on his 2016 victory. “Taking over! It's our world now! #DealWithIt.”
Actor Jon Voight is among the Trump supporters to harness the power of Twitter, displaying his thoughts via video message captioned “Say The Truth.” The video, uploaded in January 2020, features Jon Voight saying, “We call upon our highest prayers and ask Jesus, Moses and all saints to save the truth that has been taken down by these cruel individuals of the left.
“The truth, my friends, the truth that holds the greatest scripture that is the Declaration of Independence. We as a nation have gained this back with President Trump and what does the left want to do? To knock down a nation of God's glory. This is a disgrace to mankind and a disgrace to the people of the United States of America."
Dana White, himself the president of the UFC, told The Hill reporter Krystal Ball, “I would never say anything negative about Donald Trump because he was there when other people weren’t. Any good thing that happened to me in my career, Donald Trump was the first to pick up the phone and call and say ‘congratulations.’”
Bleach Report also notes White’s energized endorsement of Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention. "I’ve been in the fight business my whole life. I know fighters. Ladies and gentlemen, Donald Trump is a fighter, and I know he’ll fight for this country."
John Ratzenberger, another Cheers alum, stated, “I think there will be a lot of people apologizing to him at the end of his first four years" to told Stuart Varney from FOX Business in 2017.
“He’s doing a wonderful job as far as manufacturing is concerned,” Ratzenberger said, a consistent supporter of Trump’s manufacturing and infrastructure agenda.
Retired Yankee outfielder Paul O’Neill was reported by New York Daily News to endorse Trump at a news conference in Florida back in 2016. His public support was much subtler than the other athletes on this list, yet it remained a strong statement.
When the freshly elected Trump pointed out O’Neill in the crowd, he asked if he endorsed him, to which O’Neill simply shouted, “I’m here” in reply. Short, sweet, and poignant!
Herschel Walker, former All-American athlete, used his platform to commend Trump’s social justice efforts. "Just because someone loves and respects the flag, our national anthem, and our country doesn't mean they don't care about social justice. I care about all of those things, and so does Donald Trump.”
Via CNN.com, Walker went on to clarify, “He shows how much he cares about social justice and the Black community through his actions. And his actions speak louder than any stickers or slogans on a jersey."
Massively controversial American financier Jeffrey Epstein was closely associated with Trump as a businessman and friend. In a 2002 edition of New York Magazine, Trump said, “I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with.”
Countless photographs exist of the pair before Epstein’s death in 2019. However, it’s rumored that their friendship ended after they both tried to acquire the same beachfront property, as told by the New York Times.
