5 Times John Travolta Danced His Way Into Our Hearts

John Travolta might be 61 now, but luckily we can always rewatch the young actor, whose chiseled chin and smooth dance moves captured our hearts in Grease and Saturday Night Fever. In honor of the entertainer’s birthday, here are our five favorite Travolta dance (and vocal) moments over the years.

  1. "Greased Lightning"
I think we can all agree that this song and dance combo in the timeless movie Grease is still totally swoon-worthy. Cute grease monkeys dancing around a red-hot hotrod? Count me in.

  2. The Final Strut
Tight pants, “Staying Alive,” and a man-strut. Need I say more?

  3. "You Can’t Stop the Beat"
John Travolta in a fat suit, dressed as a woman, and dancing around in a red and gold fringed dress.  Actually, just John Travolta in the whole Hairspray movie cause it takes a real man to act like a woman.

  4. Even Angels Like to Get Down
Honestly, is there anything as fun as the archangel Michael dancing around a bar to get all of the women up on the floor? There's nothing not to like about these infectious moves.

  5. The Pulp Fiction Dance Scene
This slick scene with Uma Thurman reminded us all just how great Travolta’s dance skills are. You can’t go wrong with Thurman, Travolta, and their classic moves.
