7 Inspiring Vegans/Vegetarians to Follow on Instagram

In addition to browsing social media for entertainment, one of its greatest uses is gaining inspiration. Just by scrolling through Instagram, you can find the motivation to hit the gym, go back to college, or in this case, become a vegetarian or vegan! You can find endless recipes and stories that show you how your whole life can change by simply altering your diet and even more, how enjoyable it will be in the process. Here are seven of the best vegans and vegetarians on Instagram who will have you kicking meat to the curb for good.

  1. Kristina Carrillo-Bucaram @fullyrawkristina
With eye-catching, colorful photos and scrumptious food, Kristina could inspire just about anyone to become a raw vegan. As the name implies, Kristina only eats raw foods, but you’d be amazed at the recipes she comes up with. From banana ice cream sundaes to coconut ceviche cups, she uses her culinary talents to make raw veganism as delectable as possible. She also hopes to inspire others to use raw veganism to improve their own health by showing how she cured herself of hyperglycemia simply by switching to a raw vegan diet plan.

  2. Jordan Younger @thebalancedblonde
You can feel this spunky Instagramer’s good vibes through posts that give you an intimate look into the day-to-day life of a millennial seeking health and happiness. Jordan is a vegan-turned-mostly vegetarian (she still eats some meat) and has found a healthy balance after living with orthorexia. She gives shout-outs to restaurants that make eating vegan and eating vegetarian simple and delicious, and she is also fond of posting motivational quotes about being yourself and figuring out what you want to do with your life. After browsing her page for a while, you may decide that eating a veggie focused diet is what’s right for you!

  3. Katie Higgins @chocolatecoveredkatie
Think that becoming a vegan means that you can’t enjoy dessert? Think again. Katie is a self-described chocoholic, but she doesn’t let her dietary restrictions hold her back when it comes to eating donuts, cheesecake, or any other kind of scrumptious sweet. You can find some of her recipes on her blog and all of her recipes in her bestselling cookbook, Chocolate Covered Katie, and you would never know that none of them contain any milk, cream, or butter. How does she imagine these recipes? We may never know.

  4. Pixie Turner @plantbased_pixie
In addition to being a foodie, Pixie is also a scientist, which lends credibility to her health and wellness tips on her Insta. We love her short anecdotes that she includes with almost every post because they’re just as fun and inspiring to read as her recipes. She makes a vegan diet plan look easy and enjoyable, and she encourages her readers to branch out and make vegan versions of their favorite foods. One of her tastiest-looking altered recipes is her macaroons, which you probably thought were impossible to make without eggs. It’s not only possible, but they look amazing, and from what she says about them, they taste even better than they look.

  5. Dana Shultz @minimalistbaker
The mission of this account is to provide vegans and vegetarians tasty recipes that contain 10 ingredients or less and can be made within 30 minutes or less. So, for anyone who says that becoming a vegan or vegetarian is too time-consuming or complicated, you’re out of excuses. In addition to providing the recipes on her blog, she also provides videos for a lot of them, so even the most inexperienced cooks can create kitchen masterpieces, like her peanut butter pretzel chocolate mousse pie.

  6. Lily Kunin @cleanfooddirtycity
We love the simplicity of both her page and her food photos. Lily is a vegetarian Instagrammer and blogger, and she highlights the benefits of being a vegetarian through her fresh, nutrient-packed recipes. She makes her posts relatable by showing off some egg, zucchini, and guac tacos for #tacotuesday, and making bite-sized berry tarts for birthdays, so it’s easy for any vegetarian to see themselves living a life similar to hers.

  7. Kate Taylor @cookieandkate
Are you an avid dog lover and a veggie enthusiast? We may have found the perfect account for you. In between photos of Top Chef-worthy vegetarian salads, pastas, and pizzas, Kate also shares photos of her dog, Cookie, for the whole world to adore. You can find all of her recipes, including her melty spinach artichoke enchiladas, on her blog. Even if you are a meat-eater, you will probably still want to give her food a try because trust us, you won’t be missing the meat.
