Celebrities As Our Favorite Comic Book Characters

Taylor Swift as Sailor Moon

Taylor Swift as Sailor Moon

We all know her and have heard at least one of her songs. The esteemed singer Taylor Swift has an influence like no other artist, and her prowess doesn’t stop at superheroes. Here, we’ve made Taylor into the Japanese manga character Sailor Moon. Doesn’t she look great?

The manga character and singer have a few similar features, such as their blonde hair and blue eyes. That’s enough to make the resemblance look strangely natural. Maybe she’ll sing us the Sailor Moon theme song.

Taylor Swift as Dazzler

Taylor Swift as Dazzler

You know that witty, morbid, hilarious comic book character named Deadpool that everyone loves? If you do then surely you know about the upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine and the cameo rumors. Well, Taylor Swift as Dazzler is one of them and a rather odd one too.

The last person you would expect to play the heroine is Taylor Swift, right? But when you realize Dazzler can convert sound vibrations into energy and light, it starts to make sense. Maybe Taylor will give us a Dazzler easter egg at her Era’s tour.

Tom Hanks as Captain America

Tom Hanks as Captain America

Wilson!! That’s what Tom Hanks would say to his superhero partner, Sam Wilson if he were Captain America. Don’t get it confused with a volleyball.

Tom Hanks, as the adored character, Captain America, is an interesting sight. Now that Chris Evans has left the character, perhaps Tom Hanks can take the torch. Or…maybe he should stay in Cast Away and leave the patriotic character's legacy intact.

Tom Cruise as Iron Man

Tom Cruise as Iron Man

If you live under a rock, then you didn’t hear about the rumored cameos for Doctor Strange: The Multiverse of Madness. One that had the media in an uproar was Tom Cruise taking on the genius, billionaire, philanthropist character Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

Superior Iron Man was the speculation, and what a fun time that would have been. In Marvel Comics, Superior Iron Man is the antagonist version of our beloved character Iron Man. To keep it simple, he’s a villain! Wouldn’t that have been neat to see on the big screen? I guess we’ll never know, but it’s safe to say Tom Cruise would have given the comic book character a run for its money.

Gina Carano as Captain Marvel

Gina Carano as Captain Marvel

Formerly a mixed martial artist, Gina Carano has the skills to be a real-life superhero. She even got into some action in Deadpool as the mutant Angel Dust.

Steering away from Carano’s villainous comic book portrayal, we’ve decided to bring her to the good side as Captain Marvel. She looks ready to kick some bad guys into outer space! Would you want to see Carano’s Captain Marvel on screen?

Salma Hayek as Wonder Girl

Salma Hayek as Wonder Girl

Do you think it’s time Salma took on an action role? Maybe DC’s Wonder Girl can be her breakout character.

Being Wonder Woman’s sidekick, Salma could get some pointers from Gal Gadot and learn how to enhance her Amazonian blood.

(Image via Midjourney)

Dolly Parton as Queen Hippolyta

Dolly Parton as Queen Hippolyta

We know her as a talented country singer, but what about an Amazonian Queen? Mother to the courageous Wonder Woman, Queen Hippolyta is just as strong and brave.

Dolly already looks darlin’ and prone to squeezing your cheeks with love, so why not fuel that by turning her into the queen of the Amazons and the mother of a demigod?

(Image via Midjourney)

Scarlet Johansson as Artemis

Scarlet Johansson as Artemis

You know her as the skilled assassin Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, and a loved member of the Avengers. I don’t want to throw you for a loop, but what if we pulled the actress through universes? Say…DC?

Not to get her mixed up with the green-clad, arrow-wielding Artemis, but this Artemis is the Amazon of Bana-Mighdall, a branch of Amazons separate from Themyscira. Scarlet would make for a pretty good Amazon, don’t you think? She already played a red-haired superhero, so what’s one more? Maybe it’ll give Scarlet the upper hand.

Emma Watson as Batgirl

Emma Watson as Batgirl

Emma Watson has already attempted and succeeded in saving a magical universe, so surely she can take on another. Although, I would say this one is more morbid and dark. Gotham City is no place to let your guard down, but luckily, Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, has the bravery and skill needed to survive the city.

And, with Batman and Robin by her side, she can fight crime with a clear head. But I would watch out for a green-haired, laughing maniac! Oh…and don’t answer the door, least of all for a man with a huge, unnerving smile.

Zendaya as Catwoman

Zendaya as Catwoman

Indulging in another universe swap, we’ve turned Zendaya into Catwoman. The anti-hero has qualms about working with or against Batman, but maybe Zendaya’s version of the comic book character will finally choose a side.

What do you think she would choose: good or evil? Maybe her answer relies on her Batman. Tom Holland – we need you to play another superhero!

Martin Lawrence as Green Lantern

Martin Lawrence as Green Lantern

You probably know him from Bad Boys, but now you’ll know him as Green Lantern. Not the one everybody knows, Hal Jordan, and no, not the cocky, annoying one Guy Gardner. How about John Stewart? Ring any bells?

Stewart is one of Earth’s Green Lanterns and the third human to wield a Green Lantern ring. Now that you know the character, do you think Martin has enough willpower to protect Earth? Maybe Will Smith can join him in the Green Lantern Corps, and they can take Bad Boys to outer space.

Kaley Cuoco as Supergirl

Kaley Cuoco as Supergirl

We’re not in The Big Bang Theory anymore. We’ve taken Kaley Cuoco far from a sitcom role and put her into an action one. Do you think Kaley has what it takes to take on this role?

A Kryptonian is a force to be reckoned with and Supergirl’s family relation to Superman is intimidating. Could you imagine going against both cousins? Whether you’re a villain or just a pedestrian on the streets, you should probably run. Preferably in the direction where there is no flying, blonde woman who looks ready to throw some punches.

Brad Pitt as Superman

Brad Pitt as Superman

Staying on the Kryptonian train, we’ve made Brad Pitt into Superman. It’s a rather odd comparison, but it strangely works.

He looks ready to save unfortunate pedestrians, fight Doomsday valiantly, and quarrel with Lex Luthor. Pitt’s Superman might even be resurrected at one point, too, but let's not jinx another Superman ending. The childlike wonder that died when watching Superman’s end in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was enough pain for me.

Henry Cavill as Batman

Henry Cavill as Batman

Speaking of the infamous duo Superman and Batman, why not play around and make Henry Cavill into the aloof and quiet character we all love? He looks great in the Batman outfit, a far cry from his usual red and blue.

Do you think Cavill pulls off Bruce Wayne’s alter ego? Maybe to truly pull it off, he needs a sidekick named Robin. Or Nightwing? Or…Batgirl? Something about him just says he’ll spare the sidekicks and work alone for a while…it’s definitely not the Witcher vibes.

Christopher Lloyd as Professor X

Christopher Lloyd as Professor X

The anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine film gives fans hope for live-action X-Men. We’ve waited long enough; come on Marvel, it’s time to give us what we want!

Since Marvel is taking its precious time, we’ve decided to give the people what they want and made Christopher Lloyd into Professor X or Charles Xavier. The Back to the Future star resembles the powerful telepath; it’s almost uncanny (pun intended)! Instead of looking into the future, Christopher Lloyd will be diving into people’s minds.

Beyonce as Storm

Beyonce as Storm

Another character that would be awesome to see in the upcoming Deadpool movie is the X-Men Storm. We’ve taken the loved and respected singer Queen Bey and turned her into the mutant who manipulates weather.

She’s in her X-Men training uniform and looks ready to wield some lightning and train with her fellow X-Men. She might decide to live a double life: singer by day, X-Men by night!

Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine

Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine

Do you remember that brief period when everyone was claiming the Harry Potter star was going to be the new Wolverine? Well, I do, and even though Hugh Jackman is the perfect Wolverine, I will say that Radcliffe as the ferocious comic book character isn’t a bad casting.

Logan, aka Wolverine, is known for his short height, and Radcliffe is similar to the character in that regard. Plus, Daniel’s hair and beard mirror the X-Men’s. It’s safe to say the casting was just a rumor, but you have to admit that Daniel looks fierce and wild as Wolverine.

Chris Evans as Deadpool

Chris Evans as Deadpool

Chris Evans had the media head over heels for his portrayal of the super soldier Captain America. He brought the decades-old comic book character to life in a way that no other actor could have done. But let's ponder the multiverse and question, What If?

What if Chris Evans was Deadpool instead of Captain America? That’s a strange thought, isn’t it? But if you won’t say it I will: Chris looks good as Deadpool. Now, that doesn’t mean Chris would make a decent Deadpool; Ryan Reynolds will always hold that torch, just like Chris Evans will always make the best Captain America. Regardless, it’s an intriguing thought, and it makes you wonder if Evans could hone the morbid humor and sarcasm Deadpool is known for.

Ryan Reynolds as Deathstroke

Ryan Reynolds as Deathstroke

With the new Deadpool movie about to be released on the big screen, I think it was inevitable that Ryan Reynolds would be on here. But not as Deadpool and instead as the DC villain Deathstroke.

If you didn’t know, Deadpool took some inspiration from Deathstroke, with their similar monikers, mercenary roles, and names (Slade Wilson vs. Wade Wilson). But inspiration never hurt anybody. With this connection between the characters, it felt right to turn Ryan into Deathstroke. Whether he’s an anti-hero who kills villains gruesomely or a deadly assassin who conflicts with the Bat-family, Ryan can pull off a comic-book role.

Timothee Chalamet as Spider-Man

Timothee Chalamet as Spider-Man

One of the most loved comic book characters is Spider-Man. Stan Lee, the famous and admirable comic book writer, said that “Anyone can wear the mask.” It’s a brilliant side effect of the hero’s character.

If anyone can be under the Spider-Man mask, so can celebrities, such as Timothee Chalamet. Probably not the first person you expected, but that’s the mask's appeal! When he’s swinging through the streets of New York, I hope he remembers that “With great power comes great responsibility.”

Leonardo DiCaprio as Green Arrow

Leonardo DiCaprio as Green Arrow

This comparison is simultaneously odd yet sensible. Leonardo looks good as the bow-wielding heroine.

Instead of getting on the Titanic, it looks like Leonardo chose a life of fighting crime…with a bow and arrow? I know it’s a seemingly weak and illogical weapon to use in the superhero universe, but if you know Green Arrow, then you know Oliver Queen has the skills; enough to even be in the Justice League.

Jerry Seinfeld as The Riddler

Jerry Seinfeld as The Riddler

A complex and intelligent comic book character, Edward E. Nigma, or The Riddler, is a very interesting DC villain. He possesses a genius-level intellect and creates elaborate puzzles and traps. The most recent portrayal of the infamous Batman villain was in the 2022 film The Batman. The movie made The Riddler into a horrifying serial killer that isn’t usually conveyed by the green question mark-clad villain.

That being said, The Riddler can be portrayed on different ends of the spectrum: as a scary, intelligent killer or as an intellectual nuisance. Which one do you think Jerry Seinfeld would bring to the table? If you piece the puzzle together, you’ll see the actor in the green and purple Riddler outfit. Now, he only needs the large question mark cane to pull it off.
