Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson's 2006 DUI arrest in Malibu proved that even Hollywood's elite can have a few too many and decide it's a great time to spew anti-Semitic remarks. After a slap on the wrist and a stint in rehab, Gibson's career took a nosedive faster than his blood alcohol level.

Gibson pleaded no contest to the charges, was fined, and sentenced to three years' probation. Gibson issued apologies and sought treatment for alcoholism following the arrest, but his acting career has never quite recovered. These days, he’s spent most of his career behind the camera.

Heather Locklear

After actress Heather Locklear faced DUI charges in 2008 in Santa Barbara, California, Locklear's spin-off series became "Melrose Place: Rehab Edition."

Nick Nolte was arrested for DUI in 2002 in Malibu, California. Nolte pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to three years' probation and counseling. He later acknowledged his struggles with substance abuse and sought treatment.

Apparently, Tiger Woods' golf skills don't translate to driving a car. Golfing legend Tiger Woods was arrested for DUI in 2017 in Jupiter, Florida, after being found asleep at the wheel -  the engine still running.

Toxicology reports showed the presence of multiple prescription medications but no alcohol. Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving and received probation, community service, and fines. He later sought treatment for prescription medication management.

Former U.S. President George W. Bush had a DUI arrest in 1976 in Kennebunkport, Maine, at the age of 30. He pleaded guilty to the charges and paid a fine.  

The incident resurfaced during his 2000 presidential campaign. Bush acknowledged the mistake and his decision to quit drinking in 1986. The incident had little to no effect on the election results that year.

Apparently, after seeing “dead people,” Haley Joel Osment started seeing pink elephants. Haley Joel Osment, known for his role in "The Sixth Sense," was arrested for DUI and possession in 2006 in Los Angeles.

He crashed his car and was found to be under the influence. Osment pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to probation, fines, and an alcohol education program.

Justin Bieber's 2014 DUI arrest in Miami Beach was the cherry on top of his teenage troublemaker sundae. Between drag racing, resisting arrest, and having an expired license, Bieber's night ended with a mugshot and a serious case of "Love Yourself" remorse.

Bieber later pleaded guilty to reduced charges of careless driving and resisting arrest, receiving fines, charitable donations, and an anger management course.

Funny man Kevin Hart wasn't laughing when he got busted for DUI in 2013. After nearly colliding with a gas tanker truck, Hart's night took a turn for the "Ride Along" sequel no one asked for.

He had been caught speeding and nearly collided with a gas tanker truck. Hart later pleaded no contest to the charges and was sentenced to probation, fines, and an alcohol education program. He has since spoken about the incident as a learning experience.
