Five Favorites From 'Walk the Line'

The legendary Johnny Cash blazed the country music scene in the 50s and 60s and made himself a household name. It’s been over 50 years since his iconic song “Walk the Line” hit the charts in 1964. In 2005, with the help of the onscreen duo of Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, an entirely new generation was introduced to the Man in Black and a love like Johnny and June. In honor of his birthday, let’s take a look back at our favorite parts from the film “Walk the Line.”

  1. June Carter’s (Reese Witherspoon) fashion and hairstyle transformation from the 50 to the 70s.
Reese Witherspoon is already a showstopper, but put her in pincurls and she'll make propose onstage at a concert.
  2. Johnny’s (Joaquin Phoenix) onstage proposal to June during their duet “Jackson.”

  3. Johnny rocking the Rayban Wayfarer.
    Talk about a classic combination.
  4. Joaquin Phoenix’s uncanny resemblance to Johnny’s look and sound.
Seriously, google them both. It's almost scary.
  5. The entire soundtrack!
