Whoopi Goldberg
Actress and daytime talk show host Whoopi Goldberg can do no wrong in the eyes of the public… at least until January 31, 2022. As one of 16 people to ever win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award, fans were shocked when Goldberg claimed that the Holocaust had nothing to do with race on live television.
"Well, [the Holocaust] is White people doing it to White people, so y'all gonna fight amongst yourselves. If you're going to [ban problematic parts of history], then let's be truthful about it because the Holocaust isn't about race.” She went on to falsely claim that the murder of 6 million Jews was about "man's inhumanity to man" rather than race.
Drew Barrymore
Actress, director, and talk show host Drew Barrymore is part of a family of actors who encouraged her to delve into the world of entertainment from a young age. Daughter of actor and actress duo John and Jaid Barrymore, Drew began was privileged enough to grow up in West Hollywood and get cast in her first commercial role at just 11 months old! in the '80s, E.T. solidified her place as a child star.
But most of us are aware that Barrymore experienced a troubled childhood, which translated into rebelliousness as a teenager and young adult. From regularly visiting Studio 54 as a child to questionable film roles and posing nude for Playboy in 1995, Barrymore never allowed her beginnings as a child actress to define her.
Lisa Bonet
Lisa Bonet AKA Lilakoi Moon is an American actress who's been nominated for an Emmy, Saturn Award, and four Young Artist Awards during her career. Her most notable mainstream role occurred back in the '80s and early '90s on The Cosby Show playing the second oldest child of Bill Cosby. Previously, she appeared exclusively in beauty pageants and guest TV roles before landing the sitcom role at 17.
Many people consider Bonet's work on the movie Angel Heart — which was filmed when she was only 19 — to be a version of adult entertainment. The film totes an R rating due to the inclusion of several very long seconds of explicit activity involving Bonet and Mickey Rourke. Not only did she win a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress for the role, but she went on to secure a topless centerfold spread for Interview mag.
Maitland Ward
Former Boy Meets World star Maitland Ward has made a name for herself outside of child acting, and it's not for anything particularly appropriate for children. From posing for pictures in sexy cosplays at Comic-Con to starring in porn films starting in 2019, Ward has truly explored every aspect of the entertainment industry.
Contrary to most fans' knowledge, Ward began her acting career as Jessica Forrester in a soap opera on CBS titled The Bold and the Beautiful before joining the cast of Boy Meets World during its sixth season. Similarly, she didn't delve into pornography until after experimenting with cosplay. Her costumes started out innocent enough until she started showing up at cons wearing only body paint! Ward quickly transitioned to posing nude photographs on Snapchat and Instagram before the release of her debut adult film Drive.
Jaimee Foxworth
Former model and actress Jaimee Foxworth is best known as Judy Winslow from the ABC sitcom Family Matters from the late 1990s. However, her entertainment career didn't begin on screen. Rather, Foxworth began modeling at five, which led her to appear in national commercials and eventually land the childhood role of Judy.
Unfortunately for Foxworth, her time acting on Family Matters was cut short after Steve Urkel started taking up more screen time. Thus, she turned to adult filmography under the nickname "Crave," making pornographic films from 2000 to 2002. At least the adult industry gave her the screen time she deserved!
Alyssa Milano
Alyssa Milano started her career in Hollywood at seven years old after she auditioned for the national stage tour of Annie. As for her film debut, Milano appeared in Ols Enough, claiming that it was the best way to start out her screen career. We agree, as the film was screened at the Sundance Film Festival and won first prize! In 1992, she starred as a teenage prostitute for Where the Day Takes You — which won the Golden Space Needle Award — and seemed to be the start of her more risque career. In the '90s, Milano fully embraced her new persona as a "naughty" girl by appearing in erotic films like Embrace of the Vampire and Poison Ivy II: Lily.
Despite delving into the sticky adult industry, Milano stayed true to herself and required every contract to include a "nudity clause" that granted her complete control over any and all nude appearances. She explained her motivation for nude scenes in Embrace of the Vampire to Premiere Magazine in 1995, saying, "I'm not going to say that I was manipulated into doing things that I didn't want to do. I did it because it was a woman director and I felt protected. And I learned a lot as far as knowing where the camera is and what coverage they need so that it's not all explicit."
Danielle Brisebois
Former child actress Danielle Brisebois isn't only known for her childhood acting days, but she definitely made a name for herself as Stephanie Mills for All in the Family, Archie Bunker's Place, and Molly in the original Broadway production of Annie. After retiring from the mainstream, acting in the '80s, Brisebois turned to music, from rock band New Radicals to solo albums Arrive All Over You and Portable Life. She even wrote "Unwritten" and "Pocketful of Sunshine" for Natasha Bedingfield.
Brisebois hasn't engaged in many industries outside of mainstream and music entertainment, but she did appear nude in the films Big Bad Mama II andKill Crazy for a scene. She didn't take it farther than mainstream films with brief scenes, but that's enough for some people. Not every star needs to go all out!
Dana Plato
Dana Plato was one of the top teen idols of the '70s and '80s thanks to her role in California Suite that led her to the widely recognizable role of Kimberly Drummond on the ABC sitcom Diff'rent Strokes that ran from 1978 to 1986. Her first role, however, was her appearance in The Six Million Dollar Man at just 10 years old, which led to other appearances in horror films like The Exorcist II and Return to Boggy Creek.
From Young Artist Award nominations to winning multiple TV Land Awards, Plato successfully padded her resume during her career. She admitted to Howard Stern that she struggled with drugs and alcohol, but she never considered her work in erotic films as an issue. Toward the end of her career, she appeared nude in Prime Suspect, Compelling Evidence, and posed for the lesbian magazine Girlfriends.
Terry Moore
Terry Moore is an Academy Award-winning actress thanks to her appearance in the film Come Back, Little Sheba way back in '52. She first began acting at age eleven for the film Maryland in 1940 after years of working as a child model. As one of the last remaining actors from the Gold Age of Hollywood, she has plenty of experience in the entertainment industry under her belt. From television to film and modeling, she truly was a jack of all trades in Hollywood.
At 55 years old, she delved into adult entertainment by posing nude on the cover of the 1984 Playboy issue. This wasn't her first modeling stint, however, because she appeared on the cover of Life magazine back on July 6, 1953, advertised as "Hollywood's sexy tomboy." The photo was also used as the cover of the romance comic book My Diary in the '50s.
Kelly Jean Van Dyke
Kelly Jean Van Dyke is a name that probably sounds familiar... because she was the daughter and niece of two famous actors, Jerry Van Dyke and — most notably — Dick Van Dyke! Her acting career as a child is best remembered by appearances in TV series, including Accidental Family at nine years old and My Mother the Car alongside her father Jerry, who starred as the main character.
Kelly Jean is probably best remembered for her adult filmography rather than her childhood roles. She made quite a name for herself in pornography, operating under the name Nancee Kelly. She appeared in a modest number of films, including Catfighting 2, The Coach's Daughter, and An Evening at Club Josephine. In a tragic turn of events, Kelly Jean committed suicide in 1991 after lighting cut short her last conversation with younger brother Jack Nance.

Amanda Bynes
Amanda Bynes is an actress who worked first on the Nickelodeon series All That and then was featured in her own show The Amanda Show. She took her show to the screen and made several successful movies including What A Girl Wants and She’s The Man.
However, Bynes already had a reputation for her partying and substance abuse, and it all came to a head in 2012 when she hit a police car on a DUI. Bynes also got herself in several hit-and-run situations throughout the year, including deciding that driving with a suspended license was a fun thing to do. A star who struggles with substance abuse is a hazard for any Hollywood production, and they walked away.
Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan was slated to be the next big thing as a talented child actress coming out of Disney. But the crown of stardom is a heavy burden, and Lohan quickly fell out of favor as her parents tried to manage her career and she became notorious for being hard to work with.
Even worse, Lohan spiraled out of control with forays into drugs, alcohol, and multiple rehabs stints. She emerged as unreliable to work with, and her career came to a screeching halt. Her good girl, onscreen persona quickly vanished in wake of her behavior and she could barely get an acting role of any kind.
Katherine Heigel
Being branded as difficult to work with is a nasty tag for any actor, but it’s one that star Katherine Heigl learned the hard way. Heigl had an amazing role on Grey’s Anatomy but started criticizing the writing, and Shonda Rhimes wasn’t having it. Being released from the show, Heigl turned her attention to movies.
But a bad reputation follows you around, and Heigl was criticized for her over-the-top behavior on set. She was quickly branded as "not worth working with" and the Hollywood Reporter printed a scathing article about her difficulties. Heigl responded that she was “taking up for herself”, which is great. She’s still waiting on the phone to ring.
Winona Ryder
We’ve known Winona Ryder since 1986, when she starred in popular classics such as Beetlejuice, Heathers, and Great Balls of Fire. However, it wasn’t until 1990 that Winona became a star in her own right when she starred in both Mermaids with Cher and Edward Scissorhands with Johnny Depp.
So, it baffles the mind that Rider was arrested in 2001 on shoplifting charges from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills. During her trial, she couldn’t catch a break and was convicted of grand theft, shoplifting, and vandalism. Rider’s career fell farther than a meteor until a little show called Stranger Things helped revive her career.
Tila Tequila
Tila Tequila was a faux-celeb that was a precursor to the Kardashians in reality television. The Singapore beauty had achieved fame as a social media personality on MySpace and, at one time, was even the most popular celeb on the site. She was also featured in multiple magazines as a model, usually pretty trussed up in nothing.
In an article she wrote, “Why I Sympathize with Hitler,” which absolutely derailed her career- so badly that she was kicked out of Celebrity Big Brother. On top of the controversial piece, Tequila posted photos of herself posing in front of a picture of Auschwitz dressed as a stripper Nazi. Yikes!
Christina Aguilera
Alongside the likes of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, hit-singer Christina Aguilera got her start in the New Mickey Mouse Club with Disney. She released her first album titled just Christina Aguilera. The album featured her iconic song “Genie in a Bottle” which went on to hit number one for three whole years.
Christina was a pop culture powerhouse in the early 2000s. Her look, style, and vibe was the envy of every girl in America and as time went on she explored more and more of her sexy, rebellious side. Now she is performing at her own Vegas residency at the Zappos Theater. In March 2020, Christina released a promotional single “Loyal Brave True” for Disney’s remake of Mulan.
Britney Spears
A lot of girls on this list seem to be famous only for being famous… that’s not the case for miss Britney Spears. Britney found her star power in 1998 when she stepped onto the music scene at only 16 years old. She quickly became one of the most famous people in the entire world and revolutionized pop music and culture forever!
Britney hasn’t released an album since her 2016 album drop Glory. She’s long overdue for more music, and now that may be finally possible thanks to the ending of the conservatorship that was controlling her life. For now, she’s enjoying her freedom and exploring her rebellious side which is a well-deserved rite of passage for the star.
Courtney Love
Courtney Love seems like she’s always been around. She really came to popularity in the 1990s in the music scene, but she was also pretty famous for her relationship with Nirvana lead singer Kurt Cobain. The two had a child together, but things went south after his death. Courtney went off the deep end.
She started to use drugs more and more, and some have even suggested that it was Love who killed Cobain in the first place. Conspiracies have surrounded the whole thing with suspicious evidence like the fact she offered a man in $50,000 to “blow Kurt’s head off.” Yikes. Not a good look.
Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus but what really put her in the public eye was her role on the Disney Channel original series Hannah Montana. In addition to the show, she also had two number one hits and three soundtracks in the top five, singing as her character.
Towards the end of her Disney run, however, she tried to throw away the Disney persona by creating more mature themes albums and was even seen with a bong on a video posted online. In 2013, she had a controversial appearance at the MTV music video awards in which she was twerking and grinding against Robin Thicke.
Barbra Streisand
Barbra Streisand is one of the most talented entertainers in show business. She’s one of the few performers with an EGOT status. That is to say she has received an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award. And with such a prestigious career in show business, nobody expected her to appear on the cover of Playboy.
Streisand appeared on the October 1977 cover. And in true Streisand style, her photo was captioned with, “What’s a nice Jewish girl like me doing on the cover of Playboy?” Barbra Streisand was hot off her second Oscar win when she posed for the cover of the magazine. In case you’ve forgotten, she looks just as good as she sounds.
Shannen Doherty
Shannen Doherty started out as an innocent child actress, appearing on Little House on the Prairie and in films like Girls Just Want to Have Fun. Her career really took off with the show Beverly Hills, 90210. But after her success, she really started to show her rebellious, controversial side. People magazine even went on to call her the "iconic Hollywood 'bad girl' of the nineties."
In the early ‘90s, various tabloid publications detailed fights – sometimes physical - between her and her co-stars, including an on-going feud with Jennie Garth. There were also reports of heavy partying and habitual lateness. She also posed on the cover of Playboy multiple times, which is always a controversy itself.
Dolly Parton
Dolly Parton has been one of the most successful singers and songwriters of the past century. Parton was an old pro in the music world by 1978. That was the year she released her TWENTIETH studio album. So, she decided to try her hand at something else. Maybe not bad per se, but a little rebellious.
That something else just happened to be the cover of Playboy. Southern belle, Playboy bunny--Dolly can do it all! It’s always a subject of controversy when such a big star ends up posing for the risqué magazine but Parton certainly was up for the task and she’s quite proud of it too.
Marilyn Monroe
Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy would be historical enough. But this iconic Hollywood star took things a step further. Monroe was featured on the very first issue of Playboy magazine--which was published all the way back in December of 1953. However, the pictures were published without her consent.
While in the beginning she was like any other young actress, her appearance on the cover of Playboy solidified her as a sex symbol. And other than her appearance in the magazine, Marilyn Monroe actually had a lot of control over her onscreen persona. However, the real Marilyn Monroe was smart and business-savvy.
Jodie Sweetin
Jodie Sweetin was on one of the most iconic family sitcoms of all time, Full House. It was a show so family-friendly, in fact, that it would be hard to imagine anyone from the cast even drinking a glass of wine. So, it came as a surprise to learn that some of its child stars, like Jodie Sweetin were anything unlike their onscreen persona.
While she seemed like the typical good girl on camera, behind the camera the truth was different. By the age of 14 years, she started drinking alcohol shortly after Full House ended. And for the next 15 years, she tried various drugs including methamphetamines, crack and ecstasy. However, she eventually got clean and has remained so since 2008.
Allison Mack
Starting out as an innocent Smallville actress, Allison Mack, might have turned into one of the baddest of the bunch on this list. Her Involvement in NXIVM is unparalleled. Her acting career was thankfully brought to a screeching halt after her dastardly deeds were brought to public attention.
NXIVM was known as a multilevel marketing scheme, but it actually got quite culty towards the end of its life. Allison, along with high-ranking members, was convicted of racketeering and racketeering conspiracy. Allison stated that her time with NXIVM was “The biggest mistake and greatest mistake of [her} life.”
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian started her career as a mere stylist for R&B singer and actress Brandy. She was also the childhood friend of Paris Hilton and worked as both her stylist and assistant. She even appeared on the reality show The Simple Life. However, it wasn’t long before Kardashian’s bad side came out.
In 2004, it was discovered that Kim Kardashian had made over $120,000 in unauthorized charges on Sonja Norwood, the mother and manager of Brandy. While no criminal charges were pressed, she would be fired. But the scandal that really made her career take off happened in 2007 with the leaked sex tape with Brandy’s brother Ray J.
Bella Thorne
Many people think that Bella Thorne's acting career began on the Disney series Shake It Up in 2010, but it actually began in 2007 in the series Dirty Sexy Money and her award-winning role as Ruthy in My Own Worst Enemy. However, her teenage Disney Channel role shot her to mainstream stardom and won her the Imagen Award for Latinx artists.
Unfortunately for Disney fans, it can be said that Thorne followed in the footsteps of her Disney predecessors after the end of Shake it Up in 2013. Like Miley Cyrus, Thorne caused a small stir starting her record label Filthy Fangs and the song "B****h I'm Bella Thorne." But what really shocked fans was her Pornhub directorial debut He & Him, as well as becoming one of the first mainstream celebrities to publicly advertise her OnlyFans account.
Holly Sampson
Surprisingly enough, renowned porn star Holly Sampson also got her start in Hollywood as a child actress. Many people are aware of her mainstream films as an adult, but she truly began acting as a teenager in The Wonder Years, My Two Dads, Beauty and the Beast, and Pump Up The Volume.
Her mainstream career is best described as infrequent, so she naturally decided to jump headfirst into hardcore films as either the name "Nicolette" or "Zoe." However, she quickly transitioned to the softcore side of the industry and found plenty of success, becoming one of the most well-known adult entertainment stars in the industry. Sampson is even linked to the December 2009 Tiger Woods infidelity scandal, admitting to having sex with him at his bachelor party yet denying a marital affair.
Farrah Abraham
From the beginning of Farrah Abraham's career on the reality TV series 16 and Pregnant, she's been a controversial figure. Her first appearance happened in 2008 when she was 17 years old and forced to quit cheerleading in order to carry her child to term. In 2009, she was cast in the show's spinoff series Teen Mom, which followed Abraham's difficult relationship with her mother and the responsibilities of being a new mom.
The majority of Abraham's Hollywood career occurred on reality TV sets, including Celebrity Big Brother and Ex on the Beach, but she managed to sever both personal and business relationships after the release of her second sex tape with James Deen Farrah 2: Backdoor and More. A year previous, she starred in Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom, but it wasn't until Farrah 2 that Abraham was let go from Teen Mom OG.
Courtney Stodden
Courtney Stodden was only 16 years old when she was wed to 51-year-old actor Dough Hutchinson in 2011. This absurd union caught media attention across the country, including interviews with Good Morning America and reality TV appearances on Couples Therapy and Celebrity Big Brother. However, Stodden's first stint in the entertainment industry was for modeling and pageantry rather than acting for television. For instance, she competed for 2010 Miss Washinton Teen USA but didn't win the pageant.
So what turned Stodden's career from reality TV and music to adult films? Perhaps it can be traced back to October 2013 when Stodden work a "lettuce bikini" for a PETA photoshoot promoting vegetarianism. In 2015, Vivid Entertainment released Stodden's solo sex tape to the public, of which Sodden claimed she would donate the proceeds from the tape to charity.
Amber Rayne
Amber Rayne AKA Meghan Wren was best known not for her work as a child actress, but as an adult entertainment star. Born in Detroit, she worked as an extra for mainstream movies and series before entering the porn industry at 21 way back in 2005. Ten years later, she announced her retirement from adult film.
This retirement wasn't permanent, however. Later in 2015, Rayne performed in her last adult film Wanted due to promises he made to Stormy Daniels six years earlier. Aside from acting in adult films, she also worked as an editor, director, producer, fluffer, and BDSM lifestyle influence. Tragically, Rayne passed away from an accidental drug overdose in 2016.
Midori
Michele Watley AKA Midori has achieved as much as a person can in the entertainment industry. From singing, dancing, and acting to modeling and adult entertainment, she truly is a jack of all trades. But before she started breaking records and winning awards, Midori performed on the stage as a hip hop, ballet, and jazz dancer. Plus, she performed in plays as a teenager and went on to study theater at university.
Her debut film appearance was for the Eddie Murphy comedy Coming to America where she posed nude as a "bathroom maiden." Shortly after that role, Midori found her footing in exotic dancing and performing in hardcore pornography. She claimed that the adult industry needed more representation from women of color. In fact, she became the first African-American woman to win an AVN award, named "Best Supporting Actress" in 2001 and inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2009.
Samantha Fox
British singer and model Samantha Fox first began performing at three years old for the theatre and extended her drama education t the Anna Cher Theatre School starting at 15. At 26, she transitioned to music and modeling, including when she won The Sunday People' Girl of the Year amateur modeling contest after her mother submitted pictures of Fox in lingerie.
Because she caught the attention of The Sun, Fox's mother gave her consent for Fox to pose topless on Page 3, appearing in The Sun in 1983 and subsequently signing a four-year modeling contract and winning g"Page 3 Girl of the Year" for three years in a row. She's considered the most popular and memorable pin-up girl from the '80s. In 1995, she appeared in Playboy magazine despite retiring from modeling in '86.
Traci Lords
Traci Lords has starred in numerous cult classics, like Serial Mom and Blade, but she’s probably most infamous for appearing in Penthouse magazine when she was only 16. After that, she went on to star in numerous adult films like What Gets Me Hot! in 1984 as well as appearing in the magazines Velvet, Juggs, and Club.
Lords starred in some of the first porn films during the industry's "golden age," was hailed as the "Princess of Porn," and made more than $1,000 per day as the best-paid sex performer ever. But her career in the industry wasn't made to last as she transitioned to mainstream acting in the late '80s.
Riley Steele
Born in California, Riley Steele got her start in the performance industry working at Starbucks and a snack bar like most amateur actresses in Hollywood. She then met Jesse Jane in 2005 who led Steele to the world of pornography, but Steele wouldn't be convinced until a few years later. But once she signed with Digital Playground, her life changed forever.
Steele is another adult film star to make the jump to mainstream movies, but only barely. While she is probably most well known for her work in the porn-themed Pirates of the Caribbean spoofs, she also had a role in Piranha 3D, which we guess is technically a legit acting credit? But honestly, porn is more reputable than that terrible series of movies.
Candace Cameron Bure
Candace Cameron Bure has had a pretty wholesome career; audiences grew up with her as DJ Tanner on Full House, and she's starred in more Hallmark romcoms than anyone else in the game (aside from maybe her former Full House costar, Lori Loughlin, whose reputation has also taken a turn...). She's pretty outspoken about her conservative Christian values, so one would think she'd be friendly in person.
But not so much—at least if you ask JoJo Siwa! The YouTuber called Candace the "rudest" celebrity she'd ever met in a recent TikTok, but has yet to elaborate. The two met at a 2019 taping of The Kelly Clarkson Show—although Siwa made a red carpet appearance at the Fuller House premiere in 2016, so their paths very well may have crossed then as well. While we may never find out Siwa's reasoning, we at least got a response from Bure: she posted a graphic with the Bible verse, "Trust the lord always," to her Instagram stories a day later.
Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon—American Sweetheart or no? While she has had that reputation on screen, she apparently become something of a monster in real life. Some say she’s pretty self-entitled, which came to light after she and her husband were stopped for weaving in and out of lanes of traffic. When the officer approached her, she said, “Do you know my name? You’re about to find out who I am.” She was arrested for disorderly conduct soon after.
A source at Star Magazine claims that “Reese is anything but sweet. The staff is terrified of rubbing her the wrong way, so they bend over backward to please her! She won’t ever take off her sunglasses because she doesn’t want anyone to make eye contact. Jim doesn’t want his coworkers to see it, because he’s such a bigwig. He wants the staff to think that he has the upper hand but it’s obvious she wears the pants.”
Zooey Deschanel
Zooey Deschanel may act like she's all cute and quirky, but her castmates throughout her career had some different adjectives to describe the titular New Girl. Namely, they called her “nasty, moody, and unhappy"—and while that might be technically quirky, it's definitely not anywhere near cute. She “rules the roost” when it comes to controlling the set. When schedules don’t go her way, all heck breaks loose, and she consistently displays bad behavior. What a class act.
One producer once claimed that she was a horrible boss, which doesn't sound like a huge stretch. When schedules were (inevitably) disrupted on set, she would stop filming dead in its tracks, treat others on set very poorly, and sometimes stop showing up at all. I think there's a word for that kind of behavior--it's called a temper tantrum. It frequently caused issues on set, which could be why she isn't in the limelight much anymore.
Julia Roberts
Julia Roberts has had one of the most likable onscreen presences in many of her early movies but it seems fame got to her head. Reportedly, Steven Spielberg said he wouldn’t work with Julia Roberts again because she was an emotional wreck on the set of Hook. The crew apparently nicknamed her “Tinkerhell.” Roberts’s own sister even claimed that her ego and fame destroyed their relationship. It appears that she's not afraid to treat anyone badly, no matter how close they might have been.
But the rumors of her bad behavior don't end there. According to her, I Love Trouble co-star Nick Nolte, the pair had to film scenes separately. They used stand-ins because they disliked each other so much. You know that you're working with a real grade-A professional when they refuse to do their job because they've let personal differences get in the way. It's unfortunate that Roberts's pristine image has been tarnished by all this misbehavior.
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart started off as a child star like any other. She most notably appeared in the film Panic Room, which was her big debut. However, things took a dark turn once she became famous for her role in the Twilight franchise. Then she just became another good girl, gone bad.
Her “sulky” and “abrasive” persona is apparently on 24/7, which we’re sure gets old fast. No one wants to work with someone that's just a bundle of negativity, but it appears that Stewart just can't seem to internalize the message. She also cheated on her then-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, with the director of the films they were starring in. If that doesn't cause some on-set awkwardness, we don't know what would! All in all, things aren't going great for her.
Meg Ryan
At one point, Meg Ryan once battled for the title of America’s Sweetheart with other big names like Julia Roberts. However, it was eventually discovered that Ryan had some sides to her that wasn’t so sweet. Unfortunately for her and her aspirations, she wasn't famous enough to weather the controversy unscathed. Her career took a definite hit after stories about her began to be made public.
In 2000, it came to light that she was cheating on her then-husband, Dennis Quaid, with her Proof of Life co-star Russell Crowe—who also made this list! Hollywood truly is like a small town full of terrible people. Her career has suffered ever since, and rumors of trouble on-set have continued to haunt her even when she does land a role. Apparently, she has a habit of acting entitled, even though her best days are far behind her. It's too late for that kind of behavior!
Megan Fox
Megan Fox started her Hollywood career in smaller films like the family film Holiday in the Sun and the teen comedy Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen. In the television sitcom Hope & Faith, she had her first starring role. But her big break came with the film Transformers.
It was from then that good girl Megan Fox went kinda bad. Her role in the Transformers films…well…transformed her into a sex symbol. She also developed a reputation of being difficult to work with, but she personally likened director Michael Bay to Hitler.
Pamela Anderson
Pamela Anderson certainly started off as a sex symbol when she appeared as February’s Playmate of the Month in 1990 but didn’t necessarily have the reputation of being a Hollywood bad girl then. . She became wore widely know, however, after her appearance on the sitcom Home Improvement. Soon after she appeared on the television series Baywatch from 1992 to 1997.
It was her marriage to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee that really cemented her as a Hollywood bad girl. Having only known him for a few days, the marriage surprised everyone, and her own mother didn’t even know about it until she read it in People magazine. The tumultuous relationship was plagued by abuse and of course the infamous leaked sex tape.
Taylor Momsen
As a child actress, Taylor Momsen was best known for playing Cindy Lou Who in Ron Howard’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. She also notably appeared in the CW series Gossip Girl. After her work as an actress, she started going “bad,” appearing on the covers of men’s magazines like FHM and Maxim.
By 2009, she began recording music with her band Pretty Reckless and she’s been pursuing a music career since. Maintaining a rebellious persona, she has publicly bad-mouthed her parents and has been displaying a bad girl attitude through her music and music videos. You can hardly recognize her from her Grinch days as it seems she’s turned a bit into the Grinch.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie definitely has a reputation for being a rebel now but once she was an innocent child star and the daughter of actor Jon Voight. But as she grew older, her rebellious nature came out in real life and in the movies. In 1999, she earned her first Academy Award for Girl, Interrupted.
She ended up marrying a man almost 20 years older than her, Billy Bob Thorton, then cut off ties with her father for almost a decade. And on top of that, allegedly ended up getting involved with a married man while filming the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith, although Jolie and Pitt have denied their relationship began as an affair – but really only they know the truth.
Jennifer Lawrence
Jennifer Lawrence became one of the biggest actors on the silver screen thanks to her likable personality, but that doesn’t mean she’s ao nice anymore. She’s has been notoriously mean to fans. She actually admits it and claims that it’s a way of defending herself. We understand not wanting to cater to fans 24/7, but there’s a way to tell people “no” without being a self-entitled brat.
Her behavior is also extended to the press--because why in the world wouldn't it? In 2016, it's alleged that she reportedly lashed out at a reporter during a press conference for—get this—looking at his phone. Maybe she was just having a bad day though?
