Kelly Reilly as Bethany Dutton
Kelly Reilly has been captivating audiences as Beth Dutton on the critically acclaimed television drama Yellowstone since 2018. Alas, despite the fact that her on-screen persona didn't get married until the fourth season, the actress didn't wait that long to do it in real life. She had quite the shotgun wedding.
On screen she is a ruthless businesswoman and a former key figure at one of Montana's top banks, Schwartz & Meyer. When the bank's stockholders demanded her dismissal, she was fired. She has no desire in living on a ranch but will do anything to safeguard her family's property and reputation. She acts as the glue because her mother was the one who kept the family together.
Kelly Reilly
Actress Kelly Reilly has appeared in a number of other television series during her career. She first appeared in the 1995 series called The Biz, a British children’s series about students attending a stage school. She appeared in the second series in which she played “a war film actress.”
In 2009, she had a starring role in the crime drama series Above Suspicion and later appeared in both Black Box and True Detective. She’s also had film roles in Pride & Prejudice as well as Sherlock Holmes and its sequel Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows. All of it prepared her for her starring role as Beth Dutton on Yellowstone, easily one of her most memorable roles.
Dawn Olivieri as Claire Dutton
The birthplace of the beautiful Dawn Olivieri is listed as being the fabulous St. Petersburg, Florida on the 8th of February, 1981. James's sister, Claire, goes by the surname Dutton on the show. To be near her brother James and his family after her husband Henry's dying, Claire and her daughter Mary Abel relocat to Fort Worth, Texas.
She is a cold, unapproachable woman who refused to beg on the streets of Tennessee even after she had lost her husband and wanted everyone to know what a fine lady she was. Claire is quite ruthless when it comes to discipline, particularly while teaching her "friend" Margaret how to deal with her daughter Elsa. All of her seven children, had supposedly died before the show's premiere.
Dawn Olivieri
Dawn Olivieri has appeared in several notable series over the years, including House of Lies, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries, and Heroes, among other things. The beautiful actress even appeared in an October 2009 issue of Maxim in Australia.
Since appearing in 1883 as Claire Dutton for two episodes, she has also appeared in two episodes of Yellowstone as Sarah Atwood, one of the newest characters on the show. This corporate shark will do anything to get what she wants and is confident she can get it.
Hassie Harrison as Laramie
The Texas native first gained fame as the girlfriend of Austin Nichols, who stars in One Tree Hill. However, she is proving to be an extremely accomplished actress in her own right. In 2020, she made her debut on the Yellowstone series as the talented barrel racer Laramie, who helped make Season 3 a must-see.
She is Mia's BFF, Walker's gf, and a fellow rodeo barrel racer. While working at Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, she befriends the staff and develops affections for one of them, Walker, which leaves Lloyd green with envy. She and Mia end up offering their services to the ranch. After an incident in which Lloyd almost unalived Walker, John ordered all women to leave the bunkhouse. The audacity!
Hassie Harrison
Hassie Harrison discovered her love of acting in college at the age of 15, when she attended college in Copenhagen, Denmark, to study European Cinema. To hone her talents as an actress, she attended a drama class led by acting coach Ivana Chubbuck and joined the Upright Citizens Brigade, an improved school of acting. Hassie Harrison has acted in both film and television, but her role as Laramie in Yellowstone is her most notable appearance. She also had a significant role in the comedy series Tacoma FD, where she played the first woman to join the fire department.
Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison made their relationship public in April 2023 with an Instagram post that showed the two kissing in front of a giant bonfire. And now, they're married! Fans had suspected that the two were secretly dating for a while, as Harrison and Bingham seemed to be a little more than friendly on social media, and now they finally have their confirmation. At this point, there's no indication how long the two have actually been a couple, but here's to years of happiness ahead of them after getting hitched at Harrison's Dallas family home.
Eden Brolin as Mia
In Yellowstone, Eden Brolin plays the role of Mia, Jimmy's ex-girlfriend. Actors Josh Brolin (well known for his role as Thanos) and Alice Adair are the proud parents of actress Eden Brolin (famous for her role on Quantum Leap). Jimmy Hurdstram notices Mia, a rodeo barrel racer, and wants to be her sponsor in the show.
After Jimmy gets hurt in the rodeo, she becomes his girlfriend. She later joins Laramie in volunteering at the Dutton Ranch in Yellowstone. She stayed at the ranch and continued to assist out when Jimmy was transferred there from California, although she often considered going back to the barrel racing circuit. After a circumstance when Lloyd attacked Walker in the bunkhouse, it was the last straw for her and she chose to leave the ranch.
Eden Brolin
If her last name sounds familiar, it should. Eden Brolin is the daughter of Josh Brolin, an actor in such films as The Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, No Country for Old Men, Dune, and The Goonies. Meanwhile, her grandfather is legendary actor James Brolin.
Continuing the family tradition, Eden started acting in 2008 and had her first starring role in the 2015 film I Dream Too Much. For her recurring role on Yellowstone, she’s appeared in over 14 episodes making her one of the most notable recurring stars.
Q'orianka Kilcher as Angela Blue Thunder
If you liked Season 3 of Yellowstone, you probably noticed Angela Blue Thunder, a character who is a business consultant recruited to oppose real estate company Market Equities in its intentions to develop Yellowstone Ranch. Blue Thunder is a no-nonsense attorney who just might have personal goals in addition to the tasks she is contracted to complete.
As the character does not appear in Season 4, Blue Thunder appears to have been placed on hold until the show's following season. However, the character leaves a strong enough impression in her few appearances that viewers of the show are undoubtedly interested in the actor who plays her while harboring the wish that she would reappear in upcoming Yellowstone episodes.
Q'orianka Kilcher
Q'orianka Kilcher is best known for her role as Pocahontas in The New World, one of the most artfully made films about the legend, directed by Terrence Malick. On top of that, she appeared as Ka?iulani in the biographical drama Princess Kaiulani and in the western Hostiles.
The American actress and singer has appeared in several episodes of Yellowstone, making a memorable appearance as Angela Blue Thunder in season 3 and season 5. She appears in the show when Thomas Rainwater recruits her to aid the people of Broken Rock Indian Reservation.
Jennifer Landon as Teeter
She does go by the name Teeter, and ever since she made her debut on Yellowstone, she's been one of the show's most consistently enjoyable characters. Simply said, Teeter's honest nature makes her distinctive. Her hiring as a ranch hand on The Yellowstone didn't take long, and with to her no-nonsense attitude, she rapidly won over top Dutton Ranch officials like John and Rip.
Landon's father gave her her first part at age 5. Landon played a little child in one of the penultimate episodes of Highway to Heaven. Landon is an aspiring musician. Since Gwen Norbeck was introduced as a musician and lead vocalist in an all-girl rock band, Jennifer has sung many songs on As the World Turns.
Jennifer Landon
Jennifer Landon made her start in soap operas like As the World Turns, appearing in over 500 episodes, as well as starring in numerous episodes of The Young and the Restless and Days of Our lives. For her role in As the World Turns, she won the award for Outstand Younger Actress in a Drama Series three times.
Jennifer Landon made her first appearance as Teeter on Yellowstone in 2020. For the third and fourth seasons, her role was merely occurring, but as audiences warmed up to her, she earned herself a main role in the fifth season of the show.
Allison Dunbar as Veronique
Bethany Dutton's prejudiced ex-classmate and current owner of a jewelry store in Bozeman is named Veronique. Beth finally reprimanded her for her attempt to frame Monica Dutton for shoplifting. It is because Monica refuses to go to the police station, Veronique is overjoyed when she is taken into the dressing room and forced to undress so she can be searched.
However, everyone is taken aback when Monica's sister-in-law, Beth Dutton, whom Monica had phoned, unexpectedly arrives. As it was clear that Monica was being pressured into agreeing to the search, she scolds the two police officers for their illegal actions, sends them packing, and tends to Veronique. Fans of Yellowstone may recognize Allison Dunbar fiancee's, Ron Perlman, from Hellboy. In addition to her career as an actress and comedian.
Allison Dunbar
Allison Dunbar caused quite a commotion for allegedly being the reason for Ron Perlman's divorce from his wife Opal Stone, a prominent jewelry designer. As of 2022, the couple is now married. Ron Perlman and Allison Dunbar tied the knot in Italy in 2022.
Yellowstone was not Allison Dunbar’s first rodeo. She also appeared in the western series Quick Draw, a Hulu original series about Sheriff John Henry Hoyle and the emergence of forensic science. The series is a blend of comedy and western genres that was outrageously funny but only lasted two seasons.
Wendy Moniz as Lynelle Perry
Lynelle Perry, a former member of Congress, has led Montana's government since the show's inception. She is a friend of John Dutton. Lynelle Perry was a married woman with a little boy from her marriage before her husband tragically departed suddenly. After her time as governor, Perry felt she could accomplish even more for Montana if she were elected to the U.S. Senate.
After leaving her post as governor to become a senator, she publicly supported John Dutton's campaign for the office. However, her personal life has been more chaotic than her professional one; she has two children and has been divorced twice, the second time from her husband of almost two decades, Frank Grillo.
Wendy Moniz
Wendy Moniz is another actress who made her start in soaps. From 1995 through 1999, she appeared as Dinah Lighter in the CBS soap opera Guiding Light. Once she made the move to primetime, she starred in the series Nash Bridges as a series regular, playing Insp. Rachel McCabe from 2000 to 2001.
For her role on Yellowstone, she has served a recurring role since the first season of the show but only just became a series regular in season 5. When speaking of her role, she wrote on her Instagram, “It is a privilege to be a part of this... storytelling. This is a gratitude post… please enjoy the view.”
Piper Perabo as Summer Higgins
Summer Higgins, a Portland-based environmentalist, runs the nonprofit organization Free Earth. She was brought up by strict vegan parents who instilled in her the belief that any use of animal products is morally repugnant. She explains why she and her employees are protesting the eating of animals in Montana and why they are stripping off in front of the Livingston headquarters of the Montana Livestock Association and dousing themselves in red paint.
Later, she and her colleagues were jailed, but due to John, she was able to post bail. For the most part, she tries to stick to a gluten-free diet. The next time she was arrested was during a demonstration with her employees outside the proposed airport location. There was no bail for her.
Piper Perabo
Piper Perabo’s breakthrough role was in the film Coyote Ugly, and she would go on to star in notable films like The Prestige and Angel Has Fallen. Her first major venture in television was the series Covert Affairs, where she play Special Agent Annie Walker.
Sadly that show was canceled after five seasons, and after starring in several other canceled TV shows, she’d finally make it to Yellowstone for the show’s fourth season as the stunningly gorgeous environmental activist Summer.
Kelsey Asbille as Monica Dutton
The beautiful Monica Dutton is a super important character in Yellowstone. She plays a key role in the unraveling story. As the spouse of Kayce Dutton and the daughter-in-law of John Dutton, she is a member of the Dutton family, which is considered to be the most powerful family in Montana.
She's pulled between two worlds, however, since she's also a member of the local Native American tribe that regularly battles with the Duttons. The discipline of history is one that Monica teaches at Montana State University. In Season 2, they had a temporary breakup, but despite the ups and downs of their relationship, she and Kayce still have a deep love for one another and are dedicated to the upbringing of their son Tate.
Kelsey Asbille
Kelsey Asbille had her start on the Disney XD show Pair of Kings. In 2005, she started a recurring role on One Tree Hill and later appeared on Teen Wolf and the anthology series Fargo based on the movie of the same name.
Before appearing in Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone universe, she was in the Taylor Sheridan film Wind River, a film in which she plays a crucial role as a victim and catalyst for the events of the film. Clearly, Sheridan was impressed with her acting chops as he gave her a main role since the series began.
Faith Hill as Margaret Dutton
Within the narrative of 1883: A Yellowstone Origin Story, Margaret Dutton serves as the primary protagonist. Her position as the first matriarch of the Dutton family gives her an important place in the history of the Dutton story. It was when she was riding the train from Tennessee to Texas that she initially came to the conclusion that she should go north.
She reunited with her husband James in Fort Worth before joining the caravan lead by Pinkerton agent Shea Brennan to Oregon. She saw the immigrants' struggles as they arrived in a new nation without the information necessary for survival. A Lakota warrior in Wyoming took her daughter Else's life shortly after James found land to live on.
Faith Hill
But Faith Hill is one of the most successful country stars of all time and really needs no introduction. She’s sold over 40 million albums worldwide and has won five Grammy Awards over the course of her career.
While 1883 isn’t Faith Hill’s first acting role, it’s definitely her most memorable role and her first major one. In addition to playing Margaret Dutton, she also had a small appearance on Yellowstone for "No Kindness for the Coward."
Michelle Randolph as Elizabeth Strafford
Elizabeth "Liz" Strafford is the role that 1923 actress Michelle Randolph plays. She is a strong and competent young lady who is engaged to Jack Dutton, a member of the Dutton clan. The couple has a strong and beautiful relationship. Elizabeth Strafford was born to Bob and Beverly Strafford, who manage a ranch in the state of Montana.
She spent a lot of her early years in and around the family house, but she was taken east for school, so she never really got to know how a ranch operated. She committed herself to ranch life by choosing to marry Jack Dutton shortly after, but soon after, she was shot during an ambush planned by the Duttons' enemy Banner Creighton.
Michelle Randolph
The sister of Bachelor reality star Cassie Randolph, Michelle Randolph is certifiably gorgeous, having made her start in modeling, working for brands such as Stitch Fix and Forever 21. On top of that, she’s a social media star with over 500K followers on Instagram.
But Yellowstone isn’t her first acting gig. She made her debut in House of the Witch, playing the role of Rachel. Later she played Blanca Snow in the 2018 film “A Snow White Christmas.” And now, we are excited to see more of her in 1923.
Marley Shelton as Emma Dutton
The gorgeous Marley Eve Shelton is best remembered for her appearances as the lifeguard Wendy Peffercorn in David Mickey Evans's coming-of-age comedy The Sandlot. Marley Shelton portrays the 1923 character Emma Dutton. She is from the Dutton family, who, at the turn of the century, ran the renown Yellowstone Dutton Ranch.
John Dutton the First, whose parents James and Margaret, and sister Elsa set off northward in 1883, is Emma's husband. When the remainder of the family reached their destination, Elsa died to the dismay of many. Jack is the son of Emma and John. Jack is their only child because their second child, who was born shortly after Jack, perished at an early age.
Marley Shelton
Marley Shelton has had plenty of acting experience in roles for films such as Pleasantville, Planet Terror, and Scream. You might also recognize her as the lifeguard from Sandlot, who most certainly has still got it. Still, her role in 1923 was the very first time the actress had to play a cowboy – sorry, cowgirl - and that certainly meant she needed to attend cowboy camp…
“I got to try all kinds of new skills out. My character drives a buggy, so I got to also learn how to do that, which was really actually challenging but also really fun. I got really into the cattle herding aspect of cowboy camp. We did these drills when they were teaching us how to herd cattle into different corrals or pick them off or separate them, and they turned it into a competition, like a competitive game. They would time us. They'd pair us off, and we'd have to go and get five cattle and move them into a different corral.”
Jacki Weaver as Caroline Warner
In the second episode of Yellowstone, we are introduced to Carline Warner, Market Equities's new chief executive officer. To refresh your memory, Market Equities remains one of the primary dangers facing the Dutton family and the Yellowstone ranch, albeit this subplot is far less interesting than the actual militia aiming to physically eliminate the Duttons.
To get closer to the Dutton property, the firm has been seeking to buy out neighboring Montana landowners. Beth's position at the bank was eliminated after vigorous action was taken by Rourke, who is also a stakeholder in Schwartz & Meyer via Market Equities. The shares of Market Equities, however, was successfully bled by Beth. Furthermore, she made up reports that led to CEO Willa Hayes' departure. What a win!
Jacki Weaver
Jacki Weaver is an Australian-born actress who is revered in stage for her performances in Death of a Salesman and A Streetcar Named Desire. She's been in the biz forever, starting out appearing on cereal boxes as a brand girl. In 2010, she garnered an Academy Award nomination for the film Animal Kingdom, a crime drama.
Since then, she’s enjoyed a thriving film career and appeared in one of the best television dramas in recent years – we are talking about Yellowstone, obviously. What’s next for Weaver? She’s set to star in a recurring role for the series Hello Tomorrow!
Isabel May as Elsa Dutton
Isabel May played Katie Cooper in the Netflix series Alexa & Katie and Veronica Duncan in the CBS sitcom Young Sheldon. In this show she plays Elsa Dutton who plays a significant part as a character and the story's narrator in 1883: A Yellowstone Origin Story. In contrast to the rest of her family's women, Elsa is a tomboy who welcomed the freedom and opportunity of the West.
She was prone to wandering and going out, which irritated her Aunt Claire. Soon after her uncle died, she moved to Fort Worth, Texas with her family. To show Margaret how to discipline Elsa, Aunt Claire spanked her so hard that she sobbed. Later, she is involved in a gun fight with Native Americans, and she doesn't survive.
Isabel May
Isabel May is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after television stars; in addition to her beloved role as Elsa in 1883, she is in the titular role of Katie in Netflix’s Alexa & Katie and has a recurring role on the Big Bang Theory prequel series Young Sheldon.
And while we were incredibly sad to see her go in 1883, at least we still have Elsa narrating (and haunting us) for 1923. For her next role, she’s set to appear in the film The Smack, a story about a conman that also stars Kathy Bates, Alan Arkin, and Marisa Tomei.
Julia Schlaepfer as Alexandra
Julia Schlaepfer appears in 1923 as Alexandra, a British woman who encounters Spencer Dutton in Kenya. While visiting Kenya with her fiancé Arthur, she quickly falls in love with Spencer and runs off with him, leaving her fiancé behind.
The attraction between them was strong and Spencer didn’t waste any time, proposing to her not long after they met. She agreed to marry him and the two are now off to have adventures together. What happens next remains to be seen.
Julia Schlaepfer
Julia Schlaepfer doesn't have an extensive filmography just yet, but she’s certainly making memorable appearances in the world of television that are bound to garner her more and more roles. Alexandra is certainly easy on the eyes and instantly likable.
In addition to 1923, Julia Schlaeper was in the comedy-drama series The Politician, a Netflix series about a fictional high school, Saint Sebastian, where student Payton Hobart dreams of becoming the President of the United States. Julia stars as Alice Charles, Peyton’s girlfriend.
Aminah Nieves as Teonna Rainwater
Teonna Rainwater is one of the most intriguing characters in 1923. Played by Aminah Nieves, she’s a student at a government residential boarding school. Her character gives us great insight into what it was like for a Native American attending one of these schools.
Her character has been featured prominently in each episode of the series thus far, and we are anxiously waiting to see where her story goes next. Facing many obstacles during her time at school, Teonna is a strong and intelligent young woman trying to survive.
Aminah Nieves
Aminah Nieves is played by none other than Aminah Nieves, an actress, and model from Brooklyn. She also has a strong social media presence but is relatively new to the world of acting. She made her debut in the 2021 film Blueberry.
Since her start, her greatest claim to fame has been as Teonna in 1923. When speaking of her role, she told Enews that she was reluctant to take on the role, saying, “I didn’t want to do it. I actually told my manager that I wasn’t going to audition for it. It’s a big burden, and you’re opening up a lot more when you’re actually living in what your family lived through.”
Gretchen Mol as Evelyn Dutton
Gretchen Mol plays Evelyn Dutton, the wife of John Dutton and the mother of four. Living on the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, her extended family grew as her children had children. A loving mother, she died tragically in a horse riding accident in 1997.
Most of Evelyn’s appearances on the show are in flashback segments, and there are also photos of her shown in the series. Perhaps we will get to see more of her in a spinoff series – perhaps 1993 or 1983? It’s a thought!
Gretchen Mol
Gretchen Mol is an actress and model who is best known for her role as Gillian Darmody in the prohibition drama Boardwalk Empire, playing an unhinged mother who was exceedingly ambitious and a somewhat tragic character despite her misdeeds.
Gretchen Mol has also appeared in numerous films, including the remake of 3:10 to Yuma, also starring Christian Bale and Russel Crowe. You may have also spotted her as Bettie Page in The Notorious Bettie Page film. The beautiful and talented actress has a recurring role in Yellowstone that continues to captivate audiences.
Ashley Platz as Hailey Brewer
Ashley Platz’s roots may be far from the west, having been born in New Jersey but she’s certainly warming up to it now as she guests stars as Hailey Brewer in Yellowstone. The character has only appeared in a handful of episodes thus far, but that winning smile sure caught our attention.
She last appeared in season 5 of the series as a rival for Beth Dutton, as the two get into an argument at a bar. Will we see more of her in the coming episodes? We sure hope so, if only just so we can ogle at her a bit longer.
Ashley Platz
Ashley Platz, if she looks familiar, has already appeared on a variety of popular television series, including NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Agents of Shield, and Criminal Minds. Even despite just having mainly small roles in projects, she has managed to accumulate a net worth of about $1 million.
Ashley Platz’s next film is the upcoming Fight Like a Mother, a short film about boxing. Plot details beyond that are a bit murky, so you’ll just have to wait and find out. In addition to her acting, she is active on social media and is an activist.
