Collin Morikawa & Katherine Zhu
Collin Morikawa recently landed a spot at the top of world golfing leaderboards after securing 22 consecutive PGA cuts and five PGA Tour wins, including the 2020 PGA Championship and the recent 2021 Open Championship. Even though he'd never competed at either championship before, he managed to scrape past the competition and collect the top prize. As the world's oldest and most prestigious golfing event, winning the Open Championship on the first try is no easy feat. Plus, he's the first man to win both championships in his debut!
No wonder Morikawa's girlfriend is so proud! Katherine Zhu made headlines with her avid support for her boyfriend of four years on Instagram in July, writing, "So incredibly proud of you! You've accomplished so much since turning pro in 2019 and I really can't wait to see what's next." Zhu -- who played golf for Pepperdine University for four years—routinely posts updates of Collin Morikawa's training and sporting events on social media. Morikawa pointed his success back to Zhu a loving comment under the post, saying she's "literally my good luck charm."
Dustin Johnson & Paulina Gretzky
Dustin Johnson, an American athlete, is at the top of the golfing game. He has six World Golf Championship victories under his belt (only Tiger Woods has seven), is the first to win each of these events, and secured two major championship titles at the 2016 U.S. Open and the 2020 Masters. If that wasn't impressive enough for you, he's one of the longest drivers in PGA tour history and became the world's #1 golfer for 64 consecutive weeks in 2017.
Johnson has returned to the top-ranked spot over the last four years, and his partner Paulina Gretzky isn't threatened in the slightest. As a model, mother, singer, and socialite, Gretzky has plenty on her plate aside from her fiancé's high-pressure golfing ventures. The pair first met in 2009 but the romantic spark didn't appear until 2013. After a brief seven months, they were engaged. They haven't married just yet, but they do share two sons, Tatum and River.
Rory McIlroy & Erica Stoll
Rory McIlroy is an Irish athlete who competes in both the European and PGA Tours. He's spent over 100 weeks in the #1 position of the Official World Golf Ranking, won four major championships, and is one of three golfers who have managed to win four major titles by 25. He first made a name for himself during his amateur career, later on securing his place as the youngest player to reach over $10 million in earnings for both the European and PGA tours. McIlroy met his now-wife Erica Stoll fresh off the heels of very publicly calling off his engagement to tennis star Caroline Wozniacki in 2014.
One short year later, McIlroy and Stoll were officially dating . Prior to their wedding at Irish venue Ashford Castle in 2017, McIlroy told The Independent, "The thing I love about [our relationship] is that we were friends before anything romantic happened. We met when she was working for the PGA of America, and renting a condo in Palm Beach, and I found it refreshing being with someone who was living a normal life rather than, 'Oh! My jet is 30 minutes late!'" They share one daughter, Poppy, who was born in September 2020.
Jordan Spieth & Annie Verret
American Jordan Spieth knows what it means to feel like a million bucks -- literally. On top of winning three major championships and the 2015 FedEx Cup, he was ranked number one in the world for two consecutive weeks in August and one week in September. Guess what the prize for winning the FedEx Cup is? A $10 million bonus. Yep, you read that right. Apparently, he knows what it means to feel like ten million bucks...
In January 2018, Spieth publicly announced his engagement to long-time girlfriend Annie Verret. While the couple typically likes to keep to themselves, we know a thing or two about Verret's personal accomplishments. After begging a romance with Spieth in high school, she went on to major in business at Texas Tech and now works as an events coordinator for the First Tee of Greater Dallas. This organization helps introduce young kids to the wonderful world of golf. They're a good match!
Tiger Woods & Erica Herman
Tiger Woods needs no fancy introduction; his name speaks for itself. As one of the greatest golfers and most famous athletes in history, Woods hasn't had as much success in his relationships. After marrying Elin Nordegren in the 2000s, Woods found himself smack in the middle of an infidelity scandal with multiple women. The accusations lost him up to $12 million in sponsorship deals on top of his marriage. In 2010, Woods televised an apology to his family and fans: "I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to... and deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me... I was wrong. I was foolish."
All wasn't lost for him, however. Despite the cheating scandals and multiple severe car accidents, Erica Herman has stuck by his side since 2017. Before meeting Woods, she worked as a successful restaurant manager in her home state of Florida. They first appeared as a couple at the President's Cup that year with Herman wearing a "player spouse" badge around her neck. They weren't married at the time, but if she's known for anything, it's her unwavering support for her boyfriend.
Justin Thomas & Jillian Wisniewski
2017 was the defining year for Justin Thomas. Four years after turning professional, he found himself with five PGA Tour wins, his first major title, the FedEx Cup, and Player of the Year all within one season. Needless to say, it's not surprising that he topped the World Golf Ranking a year later.
Chicago-based advertising business manager Jillian Wisniewski does her best to support her partner at matches no matter where he is but finds that it's sometimes difficult to accompany him around the world. It's rumored that they've been an item since 2016 and are still going strong without the engagement ring!
Brooks Koepka & Jena Sims
Brooks Koepka continues to make America proud with his performances at world and national golfing championships. In 2018, he sat at the world #1 spot for 47 consecutive weeks after he won the CJ Cup, the U.S. Open twice, and the PGA Championship. His 2019 win for PGA broke a world record, making him the first golfer to win back-to-back championship titles at the same time. Like any good man, his professional life isn't the only thing he cares about.
Like any good man, his professional life isn't the only thing he cares about. On April 1, 2021, Koepka happily announced his engagement to actress Jena Sims on Instagram after privately popping the question while on vacation in Jupiter, Florida. No, it wasn't a prank despite what it may appear!
Phil Mickelson & Amy Mickelson
Phil Mickelson AKA "Lefty" hasn't secured the coveted position of world #1, but he's being in the top 50 for 25 consecutive years, in the top 10 for 13 years, and #2 multiple times. Mickelson has a habit of finishing runner-up. Sure, he's one of the few players to even win three of the four major golf championships, to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame, and become the oldest championship winner in history, but he can't seem to crack the U.S. Open, which he's finished second a record number of six times.
Phil met his wife Amy back in 1992 as they attended Arizona State University. She was a cheerleader and he was a college golf star, but she's admitted that she didn't realize just how good he was at the time. “When he told me he was a pro golfer, I thought he worked in the shop at a golf course,” reports Golf Monthly. They married in 1993 and share two kids together. Amy is heavily involved in fundraising for breast cancer research after being diagnosed in 2009. She entered complete remission in 2011.
Jon Rahm & Kelley Cahill
Jon Rahm recently became the first Spanish golfer to win the U.S. Open. After topping the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 60 weeks, he managed to scrape to world #1 after winning the Memorial Tournament in 2020. Look out, everyone! Rahm might be young, but he means business -- if he ever actually gets to play. Unfortunately, he was forced to withdraw from both the 2021 Memorial Tournament and the Summer Olympics after testing positive for COVID-19 multiple times.
Rahm currently lives with his American wife Kelley Cahill and their son in Scottsdale, Arizona. Cahill was a javelin thrower and tennis player at Arizona State University, which is where she first met Rahm. He proposed to ----- after two years of living together and married in Bilbao, Spain, near Rahm's hometown. Their first child, Kepa, was born earlier this year in April.
Bryson DeChambeau & Sophia Phalen Bertolami
American Bryson DeChambeau AKA "The Scientist" has won eight PGA Tours and the 2020 U.S. Open. Despite what his nickname suggests, he is a professional golfer. He first made a name for himself as an amateur, becoming the fifth player ever to win the NCAA Division 1 championship and the U.S. Amateur championship within the same year.
Sophia Phalen Bertolami's personal Instagram feed suggests that she and DeChambeau have dated for at least two years, but it seems she's recently refrained from posting couple pics. The last picture of the two seen on the model's profile is from August 26, 2018, captioned, "Despite being a mad scientist, I’ll always love holding your hand. So proud of you B!" Bertolami accounted her residency program for pharmacology at Vanderbilt in 2020.
Louis Oosthuizen & Nel-Mare Oosthuizen
South Africa-based golfer Louis Oosthuizen holds countless impressive distinctions from his professional career, including winning the 2010 Open Championship and finishing second in the 2012 Masters, the 2015 and 2021 U.S. Open, the 2015 Open, and the 2017 and 2021 PGA Championship. He's one of the few golfers to accomplish such a thing, joining a list that includes the likes of Arnold Palmer and seasoned runner-up Phil Mickelson.
Louis first met his wife Nel-Mare in South Africa as a young kid when they both lived on farms. Once Louis was ready to tie the knot, they married in 2007 in his hometown of Mossel Bay. They share three daughters born from 2009 to 2013, Jana, Sophia, and Emma. Nel-Mare
Xander Schauffele & Maya Lowe
Xander Shauffele is an American golfer who regularly competes in the PGA and European tours. From five Professional tournament wins to a World Golf Championship victory in 2018, Shauffele is certainly impressive when it comes to golf, but what about romance? Actress Maya Lowe knows a thing or two about Shauffele's swoonworthy ways.
Lowe met Schauffele in 2014 while they were both attending university in California. Despite Lowe being at the UC San Diego and Shauffele at San Diego State, they still managed to connect. Low pursued a degree in science and public health along with a Masters in healthcare administration. She currently works for Planned Parenthood and has held the position since 2015.
Daniel Berger & Tori Slater
Daniel Berger sent shockwaves through the sport after he turned pro at 20 years old in 2013 and went on to win the FedEx St. Jude Classic twice, the 2020 Charles Schawb Challenge, and the 2021 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He's totaled four PGA Tour wins and appeared on U.S. national teams as an amateur in 2013 and a professional in 2017.
Luckily for Berger, he found himself a girl who's a golf lover! Tori Slater attended Florida Atlantic University to study marketing and business. She now works as a realtor in Florida. On the weekends when Berger doesn't have a match, Slater enjoys hot yoga, cycling, pilates, and paddleboarding with her beau.
Patrick Cantlay & Nikki Guidish
29-year-old American golfer Patrick Cantlay launched onto the scene back in 2011 with a dazzling amateur career. In fact, he climbed to the top of the World Amateur Golf Ranking for 55 weeks until Jon Rahm overtook him in 2016. Professionally, he's won the PGA Tour four times, the 2019 and 2021 Memorial Tournament, the 2017 Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, and the 2020 Zozo Championship. While it was impressive, it's clear he didn't peak during his amateur career.
Cantlay's girlfriend Nikki Guidish is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Jupiter, Florida, and has worked as a pharmacist for over three years. She completed her undergraduate education for Pre-Clinical Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida and went on to earn her doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of South Florida College in 2018. Taking a look at her Instagram reveals that she's also a fitness guru and model. Back in 2014, she even participated in a bodybuilding contest!
Justin Rose & Kathryn Gill
Justin Rose is an English golfer who mainly plays in the PGA Tour yet maintains a spot on the European Tour. He won gold at the 2016 Olympics in the men's individual tournament and has finished second place at the Masters twice, earning him a spot in the Hall of Hame alongside legendary golfers Gary Player and David Graham, among others. After the 2018 Open and the BMW Championship, he reached world #1.
Rose's golfing career seems overwhelming enough, but he managed to secure a lifelong partner as he topped leaderboards. In December 2006, he married his long-time girlfriend and former gymnast Kate Phillips. They share one son, Leo, who was born in February 2009.
Paul Casey & Pollyanna Woodward
English athlete Paul Casey reached the third spot of the World Golf Ranking back in 2009 and continues to compete in the U.S. PGA Tour. Throughout his golfing career, he's secured five amateur wins and twenty-one professional wins, including three PGA wins, fifteen European wins, and one Korean Tour win.
Pollyanna Woodward had a successful career of her own as a British television presenter for Channel 5's The Gadget Show. She met her husband while presenting at the 2011 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Three years later, they were engaged. After tying the knot, they went on to have two children.
Jason Day & Ellie Harvey
Jason Day is an Australian-born athlete who regularly competes in the PGA Tour, one of which he's won. He briefly reached the rank of #1 in the world one month after his 2015 PGA Championship win. In total, he has 17 professional wins, a couple of championship wins, and two impressive world championship wins from 2014 and 2016.
Jason Day met his wife Ellie Harvey in 2005 at Mavis Winkle's Irish Pub in Ohio where she worked as a waitress. Two years passed without seeing each other again, but they eventually began dating and held their wedding ceremony in Lucas, Ohio, on October 3, 2009. They share four kids, including newborn Oz Nilo born in June 2021.
Adam Scott & Marie Kojzar
31-year-old Australian athlete Adam Scott landed at the top of the world golf rankings in 2014 given his impressive professional performances ranging from the PGA Tour to world championship matches. His biggest win was the 2013 Masters Tournament as it was his first major championship win and he was the first Australian to nab the title. Overall, he has 35 notable wins to be proud of, 14 of which have been PGA Tour wins.
One year after landing his history-making Masters title, Scott married on-and-off girlfriend Marie Kojzar in a secret backyard ceremony at Scott's home in the Bahamas. Kojzar works as a Swedish architect after completing her education at the Royal School of Art in London. They welcomed their daughter Bo Vera in 2015 and their son Byron Scott in 2017.
Tony Finau & Alayna Finau
From winning a couple of professional tours to recently becoming a father of five kids alongside wife Alayna, Tony Finau has a lot on his plate aside from professional golf that he has to worry about. Finau usually competes on the PGA Tour, and he's participated in the U.S. national team at the 2018 Ryder Cup and the 2019 Presidents Cup.
Sports publications routinely applaud Finau's consistency when it comes to finishing in the top 10 of most golf tournaments, and we believe he's able to do so because his wife Alayna Galea’i-Finau is equally as dedicated to him and their family. In fact, Alayna is in charge of the kids and takes the family to church whenever Finau trains out on the greens. They share five kids -- Jraice, Leilene, Tony, Sage, and newborn Sienna-Vee.
Webb Simpson & Taylor Dowd Simpson
Webb Simpson, an American athlete, is a routine PGA Tour golfer who originally broke out onto the golfing scene as an amateur competing in the Walker Cup and Palmer Cup in 2007 for Wake Forest University. As a professional, he's most notably won the 2012 U.S. Open and the 2018 Players Championship on top of multiple wins as part of a U.S. national team at the 2011, 2013, and 2019 Presidents Cups.
Taylor Dowd attended Wake Forest alongside Webb, which is where she studied communications and theatre to become an actress. It was at the university that Webb's father offered Taylor $100 to go on a date with his son. Despite turning down the money, she agreed to go on a date if Webb was as cute as his father, apparently. Their first date occurred in 2004 and the rest is history. Legend says that $100 was used to buy steak on their first outing. After a few bumps in the road, the couple married on January 2, 2010, in North Carolina. They now share five children.
Sergio García & Angela Akins Garcia
41-year-old Sergio García is a Spanish athlete who's won 36 international tournament wins over his enduring professional career. From the PGA Tour to the Masters, García is a consistent player who's spent over eight and a half years in the top 10 of the Official World Golf Ranking. He managed to nab the #2 slot after winning the 2008 HSBC Champions tournament, and it's rumored that he's earned over $43 million from his golfing.
Angela Akins worked as a Golf Channel reporter before she married García in July 2017 in her home state of Texas. Merely one short year later and they welcomed their first child into the world Azalea. Their daughter's name is inspired by the flowers planted around the 13th hole of the Augusta National Golf Club where García won his first major championship. In April 2020, they had their son Enzo.
Hideki Matsuyama & Mei Matsuyama
Hideki Matsuyama has paved the way for Japanese golfing as the first pro golfer from Japan to win a major championship, the 2021 Masters. That's not all he's accomplished, however. He has 15 international wins and six PGA Tour wins under his belt on top of countless appearances at national cups and tournaments. He reached the second-highest spot of the World Golf Rankings in June 2017.
Wherever Hideki goes, his wife Mei isn't far behind. He secretly married Mei in January of 2017, announcing that they tied the knot to reporters at an August 2017 press conference one month after the birth of their first child Kanna. According to Hideki, he kept their relationship status mum because “no one really asked me if I was married, so I didn’t have to answer that question. But I felt that after the PGA would be a good time, because our baby is born and I thought that would be a good time to let everyone know.”
Tommy Fleetwood & Clare Fleetwood
Tommy Fleetwood is an English athlete who mainly plays on the European Tour and has won five titles while on the tour. He has eight total professional wins, including a Challenge Tour win, a PGA EuroPro Tour win, and a title for the Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship. Since going pro in 2010, Fleetwood has endured his fair share of losses, yet he gained something in return: his wife.
Not much is known about Tommy's wife Clare, but she's rumored to work as a manager and business VP. They first met when she was hired to be his manager in 2015 and went on to marry in October 2017. Clare is notoriously older than her athletic hubby (not that it's a bad thing), so her age is unfortunately emphasized in the media over her other accomplishments.
Rickie Fowler & Allison Stokke
Rickie Fowler was once ranked #1 the world for his amateur golf skills for 36 weeks from 2007 to 2008. Since going pro, he's been able to climb the Offical World Golf Ranking to a career-high of fourth in the world on January 24, 2016, after winning the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
Fowler's wife Allison Stokke is a successful athlete in her own right as a track and field competitor and fitness model. At merely 17 years old, she went viral online after breaking records for high school pole vaulting. At UC Berkeley, she achieved All-American honors for the NCAA Indoor Championships and competed in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. The couple married in October 2019.
Bubba Watson & Angie Ball

As one of the few golfers to sport a left-handed swing, he's secured multiple championship titles and major victories, including the 2012 and 2014 Masters. A year after his second Masters win, he reached the #2 spot on the World Golf Ranking list.
Bubba is married to Angie Ball, a Canadian woman that he met while attending the University of Georgia. Both were athletes at the time with Watson playing golf and Ball playing basketball. Despite Angie telling Bubba on their first date that she was unable to have children, they married in September 2004. They have since adopted two children, a boy and a girl.
Joaquín Niemann & Christina Hellema Puga
22-year-old Joaquín Niemann was born in Santiago, Chile, and now represents the country internationally with his athleticism. His success as a professional is preceded by his amateur career when he ranked #1 in the world from May 2017 to April 2018. As a professional, he has seven Chilean tournament wins under his belt as well as one PGA Tour victory from 2019.
On June 23, 2021, Christina Hellema Puga posted a photo with her pro-golfer boyfriend on Instagram, captioning it with "4 años juntos," which translates to "four years together." Despite keeping their relationship on the private side, they post each other on their social media, and Puga is regularly seen at Niemann's matches. Puga graduated from college in 2015 with a degree in architecture, which she continues to study at the Universidad del Desarrollo.
Martin Kaymer & Melanie Sykes
Martin Kaymer AKA "The Germanator" has seen massive success in his golfing career. From winning two major championships to becoming #1 in the world for eight weeks in 2011, it's safe to say he knows what it feels like to be a winner. His first big win came in the form of the 2010 PGA Championship, where he impressively beat Bubba Watson. He also helped Europe win the Ryder Cup over the U.S. in 2012.
Melanie Sykes has been married twice before, so she's taking it slow with new boyfriend Martin. She attended Mossley Hollins High School in England and Ashton Sixth Form College for Religious Studies. She currently works as a TV and radio presenter alongside modeling gigs. Her jobs co-hosting Today with Des and Mel and Let's Do Lunch are her best-known shows.
Tyrell Hatton & Emily Braisher

Emily Braisher is an Englan native who attended Nottingham Trent University before she tied the knot with hubby Hatton. The pair just recently tied the knot in May 2021, and Braisher has taken it upon herself to start her own travel blog "Wife on Tour," which details her experiences following Hatton around the world.
Harris English & Helen Marie Bowers
American Harris English is frequently spotted competing for the U.S. internationally and on the PGA Tour. He has eight professional wins, including four PGA victories and the 2011 Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational. Ever since graduating with a business degree from the University of Georgia, English made it his goal to impress the nation as an amateur and become a breakout pro athlete.
Helen Marie Bowers also attended the University of Georgia, so it's assumed that they met and began dating while in college from 2010 to 2014. A few years after graduating, the pair married in a beautiful Georgian ceremony at Ocean Forest Golf Club. They do not currently share any children.
Patrick Reed & Justine Karain
Patrick Reed AKA "Captain America" is a 30-year-old American golfer who tours with the PGA and European tours. While he hasn't topped international leaderboards just yet, he has scored a few impressive titles since going pro. He won the 2014 WGC-Cadillac Championship and the 2018 Masters on top of competing in the Presidents Cup and the Ryder Cup, which is where he earned his superhero moniker.
Reed first met his wife Justine Karain after her sister ghosted him after their first date. He told Golf Digest that he connected with Justine soon after, saying, “So I start talking with Justine, who I discovered is this incredibly driven person who was pursuing dual degrees while working to become a nurse. We kept talking as a couple of years went by; then we started dating. Best decision of my life.” They married in 2012 and share daughter Windsor-Wells and son Barrett.
