Meet the Wives of Your Favorite NASCAR Drivers

NASCAR is one of the most exhilarating and dangerous sports around, particularly for those behind the wheel of a stock car. When you live life in the fast lane, having someone there to support you helps a great deal. Whether it is healing the wounds from a crash or supporting the heavy emotions that come with wins and losses, a good woman by your side can help make everything better. Some are girls from their small home town, while others are girls that grew up with the same love of racing. Some of these drivers took their time to get married, while others raced to it – marrying the woman of their dreams.

However, these supportive ladies are no backseat drivers. They are with their men to the finish line every time. We're sure that being married to a professional racecar driver isn't always easy, but these lovely ladies stand by their man through it all. Many of the drivers on this list claim that their wives are the source of their strength through the world of wins, losses, twists and turns, and everything else that the world of NASCAR racing has to offer.

It's time to meet the wives of your favorite NASCAR drivers!

Haley Dillon & Ty Dillon

Haley Dillon & Ty Dillon

Ty Dillon is a part of another great brother duo in NASCAR. Ty Dillon’s brother, Austin Dillon, may have more wins than him, but that can’t take away the fact that Ty has won four NASCAR races in a little over 200 races, which is a very impressive ratio. However, Ty not only boasts an impressive career, but also a beautiful wife and kids.

In December 2014, Dillon married his wife, Haley. They gave birth to their first child, their daughter Oakley, in November of 2017. Their second child, a son named Kapton, was born in October of 2020. The couple called Kapton their “rainbow baby” in his birth announcement, meaning they struggled with fertility before having him. We are so happy for this family!

As a Daytona 500 winner, Denny Hamlin has made quite a name for himself at 40 years old. Hamlin competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series as the driver of the No. 11 Toyota Camry. He also drives part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, behind the wheel of a No. 54 Toyota Supra. But living life on the edge of your seat takes its toll, so it's a good thing Hamlin has an amazing wife by his side.

Jordan Fish and Denny Hamlin have been married for almost four years. While these days the family is stuck at home – because of corona, of course – the family usually spends time traveling, and hitting the road whenever possible, as you can see through social media. Chandra Janway & Jimmie Johnson

Chandra Janway & Jimmie Johnson

Chandra Johnson married the seven-time winning NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson and the two have known each other since 2002. They got married in 2004 and have two kids together. Interestingly, Chandra and Jimmie were actually introduced by Jeff Gordon, one of the biggest names in racing. While she does have social media accounts, it's mostly her husband who posts pictures of their daily life. It seems she prefers to stay out of the spotlight unlike Jimmie.

Chandra Johnson graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2000 and moved to New York to work as a model. Currently, her net worth is estimated to be around $100k, which isn't a lot but her husband's is around $120 million, so it all balances out. Both Chandra and Jimmie are active in charity, as she helps run the Jimmie Johnson Foundation for children, families and communities in need.

They have been married since 2000 and life seems to have treated them well, giving them a storybook ending, as they are still both happy and with a giant family.

Katie Kenseth was working at a motel, cleaning rooms and also operating a small store when she was a mere teenager. Obviously too young for a relationship then, they would meet again in a twist of fate. Katie Kenseth and Matt Kenseth first got together after meeting again at a wedding. Their instant chemistry led to a wedding of their own in 2000.  It's like the perfect romance film but with really fast cars involved, so a lot cooler.

Kyle Busch was an honorable mention when we discussed his brother's Kurt's wife Ashley Van Metre, but Kyle has a slew of accomplishments and a gal of his own! Kyle, younger brother of fellow NASCAR driver Kurt, is a stock car racing driver with an even more impressive record than his older sibling. As the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion and the Cup Series champion in 2015 and 2019, many sports critics praise Kyle as on the path to become on of the greatest drivers in NASCAR history.

Samantha Busch, Kyle's wife, sure is lucky! It must be a whirlwind to spend your life with someone so admired and accomplished across America. Samantha is essentially the model modern career woman, making sure that there are plenty of people who know her as Samantha first and foremost rather than "some NASCAR wife." From lifestyle blogging to writing books about infertility, Samantha refuses to be dismissed.

According to Chris during an interview with Reid Spencer for NASCAR Wire Service, he was only nervous for one part of the wedding: the first dance. “I don’t know anything. I can’t sway. I can’t even do that. I can’t sit here and act like I know what I’m doing," Chris stammered to his dance coach. Even though he didn't get to do "The Dirty Dancing lift" like he wanted, he admitted that the dance "actually came out really good. We were able to at least look like we had some clue of what we were doing out there.”
