Corey LaJoie comes from a line of NASCAR racers, which supports our theory that NASCAR success must be affected by genes. As a third-generation racer, LaJoie is following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather -- who are featured  in the New England Auto Racing Hall of Fame -- as a full-time NASCAR Cup Series competitor driving a Chevrolet Camaro.

Corey married Kelly Cassidy in November 2018 in Cornelius, North Carolina. They met during Cassidy's impromptu trip to Pocono Raceway where Corey won the race of the day. Thanks to the wonders of the internet, LaJoie and Cassidy reuinted via Facebook Messenger and soon fell in love despite their separation between NYC and North Carolina. The happy couple are now parents to son Levi, who they welcomed to the world in spring 2020.
