Who’s in It: Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard
Why You Should Binge It: If you like creepy mysteries, you won’t be able to not binge-watch Stranger Things. When one child disappears, another appears—and that’s when things get strange. It’s also been renewed through season four.

Haunting of Hill House

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Kate Siegal, Elizabeth Reaser, Carla Gugino, Michael Huisman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen
Why You Should Binge It: It’s spooky, it’s scary, and it’s got American Horror Story beat with creepy. The actors are top-notch, too, so what are you waiting for?

You

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Elizabeth Lail, Penn Badgley
Why You Should Binge It: The adorable Penn Badgley should be enough to pull you in, but if it isn’t, here’s the deets: You is a terrifying look at a charming guy that happens to be a serial killer and stalker, but sometimes it’s hard to see the evil in his big brown eyes.

Witcher

Number of Seasons: 1 (Season 2 debut in 2021)
Who’s in It: Henry Cavill, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra
Why You Should Binge It: Even if you aren’t a fan of monster-slaying fantasy series, this show is amazing. It has everything a viewer could want from comedy to drama and action. There is a bit of nudity, however, so it may not be suitable for kids. Witcher is certainly one of Netflix’s top shows right now.

Black Mirror

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Hamm, Hayley Atwell
Why You Should Binge It: Black Mirror isn’t your typical series. It’s a series made of stand-alone dramas that are a suspenseful satire of modern life.

13 Reasons Why

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Katherine Langford, Dylan Minnette
Why You Should Binge It: This series blew up very quickly due to the subject matter, which can be sensitive to some viewers. The script is well written, and it takes a serious look at something that’s rarely discussed.

I Am Not Okay With This

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Sofia Bryant
Why You Should Binge It: Starring Sophia Lillis from IT and created by the same people who made Stranger Things, this series is already a huge hit. It's about a girl who has telekinetic powers, but the real story lies with the angst and comedy that comes with growing up as a teenager. The powers just make it a little more complicated.

Umbrella Academy

Number of Seasons: 1 (Season 2 coming shortly)
Who’s in It: Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aiden Gallagher
Why You Should Binge It: Umbrella Academy is what X-Men always wanted to be, but with a little with family disfunction mixed in. The series is about a group of kids who were adopted by a rich guy and trained to be the world’s saviors. Now that the world is ending, they have to fight (sometimes each other).

Altered Carbon

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Chris Conner, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Will Yun Lee, Anthony Mackie
Why You Should Binge It: This futuristic world answers the question of what happens if you never have to die. People can be “resleeved” into new bodies, but it doesn’t make their past go away. When a prisoner returns to his life, he’s set with the task of solving an otherwise unsolvable murder while figuring out what happened in his past.

Locke & Key

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones
Why You Should Binge It: Locke & Key is incredibly unique. A group of kids inherits a house after their father was murdered. The house is full of mysterious keys that could solve what happened to their dad. It’s a newer series, but it’s already a huge hit.

(Image via Facebook)

When They See Us

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Jharrel Jerome, Caleel Harris, Felicity Huffman, Vera Farmiga
Why You Should Binge It: When They See Us is brand new, but that doesn’t mean you should wait to see it. Start binging it immediately. It’s a court drama about a jogger who was assaulted in Central Park.

Santa Clarita Diet

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Drew Barrymore, Timothy Olyphant
Why You Should Binge It: Imagine waking up one day and realizing that you’re a zombie. Now imagine your family catching on one by one to what’s really going on. Now take that and make it hilarious and now you’re binge-watching Santa Clarita Diet.

Grace and Frankie

Number of Seasons: 5
Who’s in It: Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Sam Waterston, Martin Sheen, Brooklyn Decker
Why You Should Binge It: This is another must-see because of the focus on a female friendship. Plus, if you loved Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin together in 9 to 5, you’ll love seeing them reunited on the Netflix screen.

(Image via Facebook)

Making a Murderer

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Steven Avery
Why You Should Binge It: Making a Murderer is a close look at a guy who spent two decades in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. It follows the lawsuit filed against Wisconsin and the details of the case. As a note, it is true crime. Even if it isn’t your thing, it’s worth a shot.

(Image via Facebook)

Dead to Me

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Linda Cardellini, Christina Applegate, James Marsden
Why You Should Binge It: Other than the fact that Christina Applegate won an Emmy for her role in the series, Dead to Me has terrific twists and turns you’ll never see.

(Image via Facebook)

Designated Survivor

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Kiefer Sutherland, Italia Ricci, Maggie Q
Why You Should Binge It: Do we need to say more than Kiefer Sutherland? We also love how it’s got a little love story sprinkled in without being overwhelming.

(Image via Facebook)

Bodyguard

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Richard Madden, Keeley Hawes, Sophie Rundle
Why You Should Binge It: Richard Madden, aka Robb Stark from Game of Thrones, stars in the show. All it really takes is 20 minutes for you to get hooked.

(Image via Facebook)

Elite

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Álvaro Rico
Why You Should Binge It: Elite is about three working-class teens who enroll in a private school in Spain – don’t worry it’s in English. The three students naturally clash with the wealthy students, but the conflict ends with murder. It’s dramatic, it’s mysterious, and it’s oh-so-catty.

Jane the Virgin

Number of Seasons: 5
Who’s in It: Gina Rodriguez, Justin Baldoni, Yael Grobglas
Why You Should Binge It: It’s hard not to fall in love with this series. Each character has fantastic depth, which is told through amazing writing.

(Image via Facebook)

Master of None

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Azis Ansari
Why You Should Binge It: First of all, Aziz Ansari is funny and adorable. If you love him, there’s a good chance you’ll love Master of None; it’s loosely based on his real life experiences. His dad on the show is actually his dad IRL (bonus, his hot cousin is his hot cousin IRL too).

(Image via YouTube)

Chewing Gum

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Michaela Coel, Susie Wokoma
Why You Should Binge It: There’s currently no third season in the works, so this will be a pretty short binge, but so worth it. Tracey, played by Michaela Coel, is ready to (awkwardly) shed her deeply ingrained religious inhibitions and put herself out there, if you know what we mean. Chewing Gum is perfect for those who ever felt awkward and those who love quirky British humor—plus, Michaela Coel
wrote every single word herself.

(Image via Facebook)

Sex Education

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa
Why You Should Binge It: Being the child of a therapist is tough, but the child of a sex therapist? Even harder. This series is about Otis, who is forced to become his school's “sex therapist,” a role which he's woefully underprepared for.

(Image via Facebook)

Castlevania

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Richard Armitage, James Callis, Alejandra Reynoso
Why You Should Binge It: Based on the old game, Castlevania is an anime series that follows the disgraced Trevor Belmont and his one goal: save Europe from Dracula. Dracula has an army of vampires on his side, and Belmont? He has a group of misfit friends to help out.

(Image via Facebook)

GLOW

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Marc Maron
Why You Should Binge It: If you’re looking for a new show with strong, female leads, then GLOW is it. Although the female friendship the show is centered around is admittedly flawed, it’ll give you all the warm fuzzies by the end of the first season—and leave you wondering what will happen in season two. (It also got a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, NBD.)

(Image via Facebook)

Love

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Gillian Jacobs, Paul Rust, Claudia O’Doherty
Why You Should Binge It: If you’re tired of the unrealistic standards placed on romantic relationships by Hollywood, Love will be an awkward, realistic breath of fresh air. Plus, it’s created by Judd Apatow, whose credits include (in case you live under a rock) Bridesmaids, Knocked Up, Girls, Trainwreck, and a million other hits.

(Image via YouTube)

House of Cards

Number of Seasons: 6
Who’s in It: Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, Michel Gill
Why You Should Binge It: House of Cards has won 2 Golden Globes and 4 Emmys. Plus, Robin Wright. ‘Nuff said.

(Image via Facebook)

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Number of Seasons: 4
Who’s in It: Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski
Why You Should Binge It: A lot of the shows on this list are a bit heavy and dark—Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is perfect if you’re looking for a fun, lighthearted show that won’t take over your life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great show; it’s been nominated for 3 Emmys. But it’s also the perfect show to keep on as you fold your laundry or get some work done. Plus, it’s created by Tina Fey (who also guest stars quite a bit in later seasons.)

(Image via YouTube)

Wet Hot American Summer

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Molly Shannon, etc.
Why You Should Binge It: The original film, Wet Hot American Summer, came out in 2001 and pretty much bombed—but the actors in the film went on to become literally some of the most household names in Hollywood. So Netflix brought everyone back to make a prequel (Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp) and a sequel (Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later).

(Image via YouTube)

Atypical

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Keir Gilchrist, Brigette Lundy-Paine
Why You Should Binge It: Fans of shows about dysfunctional families will love Atypical. It’s about a teenage boy on the autism spectrum who decides he’s ready to find love; plus, there’s currently only 1 season on Netflix, so it’s a quick binge. (It was renewed for a second season BTW.)

(Image via YouTube)

Friends From College

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Keegan-Michael Key, Fred Savage, Cobie Smulders, Billy Eichner, Annie Parisse
Why You Should Binge It: Not only is there some serious star power in this Netflix original; there’s also a perfect mix of friendship, humor, and sexy (but messy) hookups. Friends From College follows a group of 40-something friends, and you won’t be able to look away from the holes they’ve dug for themselves (and somehow always manage to get out of).

(Image via YouTube)

Orange is the New Black

Number of Seasons: 6
Who’s in It: Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Danielle Brooke, Laura Prepon, Taryn Manning
Why You Should Binge It: There’s romance, there’s friendship, there’s an all-out prison riot. Orange is the New Black weaves different stages of the main character’s stories together: 1) Before they were in prison, and how they got there, 2) what they’re doing while they’re in Litchfield Correctional, and 3) what’s going on in their lives outside of prison without them. After a few episodes, you won’t be able to look away.

F is for Family

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Bill Burr, Laura Dern, Justin Long
Why You Should Binge It: If you loved That 70’s Show, you’ll love Bill Burr’s darker take on family life in the 70s. The animated comedy, F is for Family, follows Frank Murphy through his life in a way that’s mostly funny, but nonetheless a little poignant.

(Image via YouTube)

Trailer Park Boys

Number of Seasons: 12
Who’s in It: John Paul Tremblay, Robb Wells, Mike Smith
Why You Should Binge It: Trailer Park Boys is a Canadian mockumentary that premiered back in 2001, had a couple of films, and then got picked up by Netflix. There are currently 12 seasons, so this binge will last a while.

(Image via YouTube)

The Ranch

Number of Seasons: 3
Who’s in It: Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson, Debra Winger
Why You Should Binge It: Another good one if you miss That 70s Show, because you’ll love seeing Kelso and Hyde together again. Plus, you never know when one of their That 70s Show co-stars will pop up.

(Image via YouTube)

The Seven Deadly Sins

Number of Seasons: 2
Who’s in It: Yuki Kaji, Rintarou Nishi, Misaki Kuno
Why You Should Binge It: If you love anime, The Seven Deadly Sins needs to be on your list of shows to binge-watch. There’s a kingdom taken over by tyrants, a princess who teams up with evil knights to take back her kingdom, and some familiar voices, like Christina Vee (who voiced characters in Sailor Moon Crystal and Digimon).

(Image via YouTube)

Marvel's The Defenders

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Krysten Ritter, Charlie Cox, Mike Colter, Finn Jones, Sigourney Weaver, Rosario Dawson
Why You Should Binge It: 1) It’s Marvel. Anything and everything Marvel puts out is worth watching. 2) It’s like the anti-Avengers. No cheesy Captain America speeches here; just leather jackets, snark, and bad-assery.

(Image via Facebook)

Fuller House

Number of Seasons: 4
Who’s in It: Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber
Why You Should Binge It: If you loved Full House, you’ll love Fuller House—it’s got the same cheesy one-liners and warm-and-fuzzy speeches at the end of every episode. Plus, Uncle Jesse, Joey, Danny, and Aunt Becky make frequent appearances each season. Each episode runs just 30 minutes and the seasons are super short, so this is a quick binge (and most likely why it’s so high up on the list).

(Image via Facebook)

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

Number of Seasons: 1 (made up of 4 90-minute episodes)
Who’s in It: Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Matt Czuchry
Why You Should Binge It: Because Gilmore Girls.

(Image via YouTube)

Love is Blind

Number of Seasons: 1
Who’s in It: Nick Lachey, Vanessa Lachey, Kenny Barnes
Why You Should Binge It: Dating shows are a dime a dozen, but this one? Give it a chance. It's a weirdly dystopian dating reality show where people chat with others via windowless pods. All they can go off of is the other person's voice. After a month, they have to propose, or they lose the game.

(Image via Facebook)

The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez

Number of Seasons: 1
Why You Should Binge It: The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez is a limited series about the murder of a boy. His guardians and social workers are forced to ask questions about the system and how it protects children.
