People Share How Their Flight Was Ruined by Karens

Planes are an increasingly popular aspect of modern travel, which means the airport attracts all kinds of odd people. You never know who you'll run into at the airport. Some flights go off without a hitch, while others are a chaotic mess of cancellations and annoying passengers. If that sounds bad, it gets worse... Even the best trips can be ruined by encounters with a particular breed of entitled people, AKA "Karens."

These disruptive individuals will make their presence known anywhere and everywhere, from 5-star restaurants to packed parking lots. While the term "Karen" has evolved to represent a particular stereotype, it is important to note that this behavior is not exclusive to a single gender or name. Rather, it encompasses a mindset characterized by entitlement, self-importance, and an unwavering belief that the world must bend to their will. In short, Karens come in all shapes and sizes, yet leave the same lasting negative impression. They never fail to leave a trail of chaos in their wake!

Join us as we detail these 10 passengers' craziest Karen stories while thousands of feet in the sky.  From heated arguments with staff to obnoxious drunk women, we're diving headfirst into the unsettling phenomenon of Karens on planes.

Demanding Karen

Demanding Karen

One unfortunate traveler tells a story of their partner who planned a trip abroad. As she made it to the airport in New York and she had a few hours until her next flight so she got herself a coffee and Mcdonald's.

At first, everything was peaceful, then she heard a loud "AHEM" cough from nearby, and a young voice saying, "Mom-!"

She looked up and saw a woman with a shy-looking 13-year-old boy behind her looking awkward.

Victim: Yes?

Karen: Hi. I was just wondering, what's your seat number?

Victim: Seat 6.

Karen: I'm Seat 9. My son is in the seat next to yours.

Victim: Oh, that's cool. What's his na-.

Karen: You must switch with me!

The innocent traveler was stunned by the random demand, and said, "I'm... sorry... I can't—."

Karen: Yes, you can. Just take my seat, and I take yours.

By this point, the gate opened they all boarded the flight, but the Karen wouldn't let it go.

Karen's child apologized about his mom, and it seemed things went well afterwards. . . UNTIL Karen was on board and marched over to their seats.

Karen:HAVE to sit next to my son.

Victim: I'm sorry ma'am, but I can't—.

Karen: You're separating family now?!

The plane went SILENT, and everyone leaned to listen in.

Victim: Excuse you?

Karen: Me and my son are visiting my husband who's working hard for his f-a-m-i-l-y. And we don't need now home-wreckers like you to ruin our trip. You can still visit your sugar daddy in the back. You can clearly afford it since you bought that crap, and no girl with a rack like yours can ever afford that much money. So it's obvious.

Son: Mom, stop, you're being too much aga-.

Karen: Quite KC, mommy's having a word to this thing.

People on the plane even started defending the poor victim, berating the Karen for making someone burst into tears over a stupid plane seat.

Shockingly enough, Karen seemed surprised no one was on her side (shocker) she sat down but not before glaring daggers at the victim.

People comforted the victim and she calmed down just in time for the plane. KC apologized to her and they've chatted here and there during the plane.

Apparently, karma was already working in this Karen's life.

Karen had cheated on her husband and attempted to run off before crawling back for forgiveness..

She was shunned from the church, and her husband divorced her.

We feel bad for the kid, but we honestly can't help but laugh.

Belligerent Karen

Belligerent Karen

In a bustling airport, a belligerent woman, fueled by her own sense of entitlement, found herself in a storm of controversy.

Ignoring the strict no-smoking policy, she shamelessly lit a cigarette on the plane, triggering a flurry of disapproving glances and murmurs from fellow passengers.

As the flight crew swiftly took action against the smoking Karen, her partner, torn between loyalty and reason, reluctantly boarded the plane, leaving her behind.

Undeterred, the smoker picked up her phone, desperately trying to bully her partner into abandoning their flight.

Unwilling to let him go home without her, she argued fiercely with airport staff who, standing firm, asked her to leave.

Her voice echoed through the phone's speaker, as she demanded that he stay behind with her, refusing to let him go home without her.

Airport staff, witnessing the unfolding drama, intervened with firm resolve.

They confronted the belligerent woman, urging her to leave the premises, but she wouldn't be stopped.

Undeterred, Karen engaged in a heated argument, refusing to yield to their authority.

Eventually, she missed her flight, was left abandoned and alone, and the staff successfully escorted her away from the gate. Don't smoke on planes, people!

Drunk Karen

Drunk Karen

Here's a Reddit story from an airline worker who had to deal with more than they bargained for after a Karen decided to get a little too tipsy before her flight:

Obviously, passengers on any flight are not allowed to be drunk before boarding, as it could "impede them or others if there were an emergency landing" or make "other passengers and crew feel so unsafe that the plane has to divert and land to remove the passenger"

The main character of this story is merely a bystander (Worker 1) who is white, but his supervisor is black (which is important later).

Karen arrives at the gate "hootin' and hollerin'."It’s obvious she’s too intoxicated to fly.

She has glazed eyes, is stumbling around, and refused to wear a mask.

Worker 1: According to FAA regulations and our mask policy, you will have to be rebooked for a later flight.

Karen: Get me your manager! I'm going to get on the plane whether you like it or not!

The plane begins boarding, and Karen tries to sneak away from Worker 1 and board as if they're not watching her.

Karen: I'm going to sue this airline for discrimination! You are a piece of s**t! Do you think you know everything, you f***ing b***h?

At this point, the other passengers have started recording her tirade

Thankfully, the supervisor arrives.

Supervisor: If you don't calm down, you'll be put in the no-fly list.

Karen: I don't want you! I want the supervisor

Worker 1 gets confused, because Karen just screamed at the supervisor to get the supervisor.

Worker 1: “Ma’am, this is my supervisor.”

Karen: “That can’t be your supervisor!”

Supervisor: “And why is that?”

Karen: ”YOU’RE....” (We all wait for her to say “black”)

Supervisor: “I’m what?”

Karen: I want your names so I can report you to corporate!

Then she snatched their badges, which are attached to lanyards. Worker 1 finally calls the police because they're so over the abuse

Karen makes a final break for the gate, but she fell over.

Karen: You'll be hearing from my lawyer!

Of course, she's angelic with the cops, but they still take her to the front to purchase another ticket.

Cockpit Karen

Cockpit Karen

In the land of political entitlement, there was Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, who believed she deserved a red carpet treatment wherever she went.

Boarding a plane like any regular passenger, she eagerly anticipated the pilot's warm welcome over the loudspeaker.

To her dismay, the pilot failed to mention her name, shattering her dreams of grandeur.

Fuelled by her self-importance, she stormed towards the cockpit, demanding immediate entry.

"How dare they not acknowledge my presence? I deserve the spotlight!" she huffed, expecting the pilot to bow down to her demands. Ignoring the bewildered looks from fellow passengers, she insisted on crashing the cockpit party.

As reported by The Independent, "Sara Netanyahu, who admitted earlier this year to misusing public funds, left her seat and angrily demanded to see the pilot, but was stopped by security guards on Sunday’s flight to Ukraine."

Little did she know that pilots have more important things to do than fulfill her ego-driven desires.

Airport staff, witnessing the absurdity unfold, gently reminded her of the importance of passenger safety and the fact that she wasn't the star of this airborne show.

With a disappointed pout, Netanyahu's entitled wife was forced to retreat to her seat, leaving behind a trail of shattered entitlement and a cabin full of entertained onlookers.

Perhaps she learned that in the world of air travel, everyone deserves a smooth journey, regardless of their last name or political connections

Concealed Carry Karen

Concealed Carry Karen

Karens usually believe that the rules don't apply to them, but this Karen tried to get away with numerous crimes at the airport.

As she approached the boarding gate, she claimed to have a gun with her, completely disregarding the strict security regulations.

When the airline worker informed her that any firearm she had would have been confiscated at security and that firearms were not allowed, she erupted into a fit of rage.

She screamed at the top of her lungs, and repeatedly tried to climb the service desk, causing a scene and drawing the attention of everyone around her.

Bystanders, astonished by her behavior, quickly pulled out their phones to record the unfolding drama and let the incident be archived on the internet forever.

In a desperate attempt to assert control, the woman yelled that she had a gun for the entire room to hear, further escalating the tension and inciting fear in other passengers.

The airline worker, maintaining professionalism and prioritizing the safety of all passengers, calmly stood their ground and called security.

However, the entitled woman resorted to insults, accusing the worker of being an abuser and a rapist, trying to manipulate the situation to her advantage.

Amidst the chaos, the bystanders' footage served as evidence of the woman's unruly behavior and the airline worker's adherence to safety protocols.

The incident highlighted the importance of following rules and respecting the well-being of others in any public setting...

Emergency Exit Karen

Emergency Exit Karen

One Ukranian airline banned a woman who put everyone on the plane in danger because she was a bit too hot.

This Karen was immediately placed on a "no-fly" list after climbed on top of the plane, as reported by The Straits Times

Thankfully, the plane wasn't in the air during the incident, but once it landed in Kiev, Ukraine, the female passenger claimed she was "too hot."

She took matters into her own hands and opened the emergency exit door and climbed onto the plane's wing.

Shockingly, none of the other passengers were able to stop her.

If we were on the plane, we wouldn't want to get involved either... Who knows what disaster could happen if you get in a determined Karen's way.

One witness took a short video of the Karen on the wing, showing her "re-entering the plane through the emergency exit while airport staff appear to talk to her from the ground."

"She walked almost all the way from the tail to the emergency exit row, opened the door and went out, " a passenger said.

And she wasn't alone! This crazy woman allowed her two children — now alone — to exit the plane without her before any staff noticed her on the wing.

Luckily, the pilot hailed an ambulance, police, and border guards.

Surprisingly enough, she wasn't under the influence of any drugs or alcohol when she attempted the dangerous stunt.

On top of being "blacklisted" from flying for her "gross violation of aviation safety rules,": the airline fined Karen with an "exceptionally high financial penalty."

Racist Mask Karen

Racist Mask Karen

Another person shares their firsthand experience with a Karen while relaxing at the airport during a long layover.

You would think that people don't care about wearing masks anymore, especially when seated 6-feet apart, but this entitled Karen just had to ruin the fun!

"My wife and I were sitting at a table near the American Airlines gate talking and drinking coffee when this lithe, Caucasian Karen asked, rudely mind you, 'Are you going to put your masks on? It's the rules'," the bystaner wrote.

They glared at her and said, "Okay."

After much "grumbling" and "saying nasty things under her breath," the bystander realized there was another woman sitting next to the Karen, who was also a white woman, but wasn't wearing a mask.

Of course, the Karen did not say anything about masks to her.

That's when the bystander came to a terrible realization: his wife is Asian, and just experience a racially-motivated jab from the Karen.

He wrote, "It [makes me mad] that such hypocritical self-importance only arises when these loathsome [Karens] are in the presence of someone who is not white."

Arrested Karen

Arrested Karen

While on a plane ready for takeoff, there was an entitled woman who believed she was the queen of confrontation.

Engaging in a heated argument with another passenger, she threw verbal threats left and right, proclaiming her intentions to "beat them up" and daring them to take a swing.

Karen insisted on flexing her imaginary muscles, claiming she was about to "rock their world."

Meanwhile, bystanders, captivated by the absurdity of it all, couldn't resist the temptation to record and share the spectacle.

They laughed and cheered her on, amused by her misplaced confidence. Unfazed by the attention, she kept screaming, "We don't have to argue," but her attempt at de-escalation came too late.

The airline crew had reached their limit. With forceful efficiency, they escorted her off the plane, much to the astonishment of the onlooking crowd.

At least eight uniformed officers were summoned to carry her away, prompting bewildered commentary from the amused spectators.

"Why are they carrying her? There's like 8 or 9 cops! Are they starting a parade?" they exclaimed in mock confusion.

In the end, the entitled woman's overblown theatrics resulted in a not-so-glamorous exit from the plane and a date with the law enforcement officers.

And the bystanders? They were left with a hilarious story to share with friends and family.

Bomb Threat Karen

Bomb Threat Karen

Once upon a time, at a Florida airport, there was a 46-year-old woman who believed the world revolved around her.

When Marina Verbitsky arrived late to catch her flight from Fort Lauderdale, and she let her entitlement take over instead of owning up to her poor planning.

Her selfishness knew no bounds as she disregarded the safety and well-being of others for her own convenience.

“She became very angry because they were not allowed to board the plane,” the sheriff on duty reported to FOX. “She was using profanities toward the employees and when she was notified the plane was taxiing to the runway with her checked luggage, she stated there was a bomb in her luggage.”

Frustrated and entitled, she caused chaos and panic among the airport staff and passengers.

If she was going to suffer, she had to make sure everyone else suffered with her, which sounds exactly like what a Karen would do.

The plane, which was already on the runway, had to be rerouted and all the passengers were evacuated so that the Broward Sheriff’s Office threat management unit could inspect the plane.

Thankfully, the inspection revealed that the bomb story was entirely false, and merely a distraction to halt takeoff.

The repercussions of her actions were severe, as she faced legal consequences for her reckless behavior.

Verbitsky is facing one count of false reporting concerning planting a bomb, explosive or weapon of mass destruction.

Conceited Karen

Conceited Karen

This Karen fancied herself an expert of plane procedures and "woke" social justice issues.

In a fit of righteous indignation, she picked a fight with another passenger, blaming white privilege for her inability to use the bathroom.

She ranted about how she didn't have to follow rules or be courteous because, apparently, being a decent human being was beneath her.

With an air of self-importance, she proclaimed that anyone who disagreed with her was both racist and suffering from white privilege.

Little did she realize that her self-appointed role as the "educator" was nothing more than a delusion.

She wasn't a queen or a social justice warrior; she was just another uneducated, entitled Karen who thought she knew it all.

As the seatbelt light flashed on, signaling everyone to buckle up, the entitled woman's tirade continued, oblivious to the eye-rolls and stifled laughter from those around her.

In the end, she was simply a comical example of someone who misunderstood the concept of equality and became the very person she swore to destroy.

First Class Experience from H*LL!

First Class Experience from H*LL!

So, we're heading out for a family vacation, flying first class for the first time.

Our group has seven of the eight seats adjacent to the cockpit, with one rando seated amongst us. And boy, did we find a Karen.

Right from the get-go, Karen made her presence known. We board with my father-in-law, who is in a wheelchair, to find that for some reason, this lady boards the plane along with the "passengers that need additional time to board" but seems to be moving around just fine.

Seems her motivation to do so was to pack not only her overhead compartment with her multitude of carry-on items but some of the adjacent ones.

The flight gets delayed for being short crew, and Karen immediately starts demanding wine before we even leave the ground. As soon as the stewardess tells her no and walks off, she starts complaining to us about how sh*tty first class is with this airline.

I'm already thinking... "f*********k... can you shut the h*ll up already?" Then comes the inevitable: "We can just leave without the crew member, right?" Apparently, she wasn't paying attention because the missing crew WAS THE FREAKING PILOT.

We were released back out to the terminal for a bit to stretch since the delay was so long, and we return to our seats to find my daughter's seat occupied by Karen's friend, who was flying economy.

After standing around and clearing our throats several times to try to get their attention, it is obvious they have no awareness of anyone outside their bubble.

F**king finally, after both myself, my daughter, and my mother-in-law all ask them to clear out, they FINALLY acknowledge that they're in someone else's seat.

After all this, we eventually get up in the air, cue Karen slamming glasses of wine. After the third glass, she was obviously already drunk as hell because she then dumped the entire fourth glass of wine on my teenage daughter and DIDN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SHE'D DONE IT.

No, sorry, no "Here's a napkin," she just immediately started demanding another drink from the flight attendant. (Worth mentioning, as my daughter told me later, that Karen immediately pocketed all the wet wipes, napkins, peanuts, and every freebie within reach.)

All the while, she's keeping her mask down while she is drinking, but the second I take mine off to drink some water, this b**ch grabs my arm and starts demanding that I put my mask back on.

Are you f**king serious? Gonna complain about a mask but totally OK touching strangers? Ok, Karen.

At this point, I finally tell the stewardess about everything, and they stop serving her, but she still spends the rest of the trip complaining about how sh**ty this airline is.

She's also trying to talk to my daughter the entire time, who is legitimately worried this moron is going to puke on her. Poor kid.

Las Vegas Karen

Las Vegas Karen

A viral video captured a Karen being forcibly removed from a plane.

The incident occurred on a Spirit flight departing from Las Vegas Airport on January 15, although the specific cause for her removal remains undisclosed.

As the woman was being escorted off the plane, fellow passengers heckled her as she was forced away.

In return, she retorted, "Boo you, b****. If you were in my position you'd do the same thing."

Subsequently, accompanied by the man, she departed the aircraft while vehemently proclaiming, "I hope you all crash and die," which horrified the passengers aboard.

Thus far, Spirit has not commented on whether this Karen will be put on a no-fly list for her outburst.

Vaping Karen

Vaping Karen

Here's another story from an unfortunate traveler:

So I'm a 19 year old male on a trip to a wedding/cruise with my family down to Florida, and my mom pre-picked a whole row for my family of 6.

On boarding we find the Karen sitting in our row second to the front, luckily she moved when my mom showed the tickets detailing the seats, sitting in an empty front row.

Not five minutes after takeoff she’s using her coat to conceal a vape, forgetting that her vape makes vape clouds and smells.

I (the little sh*t I am) tell myself that if she does it again I'll [ruin] her day.

Lo and behold she does it again, and I get up, walk to the stewardess standing in front of her and, with some volume, inform them that the woman is vaping with my epileptic sister, six-year-old brother, and poor lung-ed Dad sitting right behind her.

After her outburst she started littering under her chair: an empty vape cartridge, a used tissue, and most amazingly her reading glasses (I hope they were prescriptions).

Anyways, she was quick to flee and, in doing so, grabbed her small suitcase with a single hand and swung it from the overhead, smacking an old woman on the head with it.

Karen Fakes Allergies

Karen Fakes Allergies

Another traveler writes: Yes, I know people have legitimate allergies, but this Karen's "allergies" only popped up when it was convenient.

This was in 2000. I was traveling with my service dog and my family. We had seats in the back of the plane.

At the check-in, an entitled business class ticket holder spotted my service dog, went up to the desk, and demanded we be bumped off the flight because she was " highly allergic" to dogs.

She began wheezing, sneezing, and gasping on cue.

Side note: we had been sitting within 2 feet of her for over an hour.

My dog was under my chair, as he was trained to do.

She only noticed him when he came out to get water.

The CSR stated he would be happy to bump HER to a later flight.

Karen pitched a fit (forgetting she needed to cough, wheeze, and sneeze to make it convincing), then demanded a supervisor.

The supervisor came, listened to her, and stated that if she wanted to stay on this flight, they would do everything in their power to move the seating so that my dog was as far away from her as possible.

She happily agreed, and her family got moved to the back row.

My family got put in the empty first class, where my dog got his own covered seat, and I put my coat on it as well to keep the fur off.

Viral Bigot Karen Gets Kicked Off the Plane

Viral Bigot Karen Gets Kicked Off the Plane

Another viral video spread back in 2021 of an unhinged Karen in the airport who just couldn't keep her opinions to herself.

The video features a Dallas-bound Karen wearing her mask under her chin.

But, of course, that's not all she was doing.

In the clip, she shouts, “f**king f*gg*ts” at other passengers. This was followed by wild conspiratorial claims, “You corrupted Disney.”

As she continued her homophobic tirade, other passengers expressed their objections and called for the Karen to be removed from the plane.

The footage begins as she and her travel companions are being forcibly escorted from the plane.

She continued to fight back at the passengers defending the LGBTQ+ community.

The passengers applauded as the woman was escorted off the American Airlines commercial jet.

'Mommy' Karen

'Mommy' Karen

In 2012, I'm flying home on an overnighter from LAX to Sydney.

I'm sitting on an aisle seat somewhere toward the front of the plane, which was purposefully chosen.

Why?

1. I was flying by myself,

2. Flying alone makes me super anxious

and 3. That anxiety turns into, like, a bubbling bowel situation.

I board early and I'm getting myself set up in the aisle seat so I can sleep for most of the flight, but a Karen in her 50s walks up to me. I didn't know she was talking to me.

She practically had to shout "excuse me" for me to open my eyes and look up.

I was having none of it because I just had such a terrible time connecting from LaGuardia to LAX in the first place.

Karen went on to ask if I would swap seats with her at the back of the plane because she and her husband were pushed from a previous flight, but they still wanted to sit together.

As someone at that time in my life who had a problem saying “no” to people, I didn't even know how to pronounce it.

I summon the courage to say, "Sorry, I specifically chose this seat, so no, I'm not swapping."

She then goes on to lecture me about how inconsiderate it is that I don't swap with her when it wasn't their fault that they were bumped from a previous flight.

At this point, I stare at her as she's berating me like she's my mom, and I basically just turn away and go back to sleep, thinking, "I'll deal with her when we land."

A few minutes passed, her husband huffily pushed past me to leave because they convinced somebody else from the back of the plane to swap.

Next, he's pushing past me with his mommy of a wife, because apparently couldn't speak for himself, as she escorts this South American guy up to swap seats.

And as she's doing that she really loudly exclaims, “Thank you so much, you know what if it was me, I would have swapped. Thank you for being so kind".

The lesson here is this: You can ask people to swap, but they don't have to say yes.

Princess Karen

Princess Karen

I was on an airplane, and right when we landed, a Karen in the back darted to the front of the plane to get off first.

She did not make any eye contact; apparently, she felt like she was special.

She mowed past everyone from the very last seat on the plane, down the whole row, and past first class, and was standing at the little kitchen thing in the front.

All this time, the seat belt sign was still on, and we were rolling down the runway!

The flight crew had asked her to return to her seat until we reached the gate, but she was not responding.

Everyone was basically trying to just wait it out, it was a long flight (8hrs), and at this point, we were exhausted anyways, so nobody said a word.

Suddenly the captain announced we had a special guest on board, and he will be coming out to greet us after we were settled at the gate.

The Karen stood there awkwardly until we did the whole, rolling into the gate and whatever planes do when they land for about 15-20 mins.

Everyone sat there waiting to see what the captain was talking about, and eventually, the captain came out and asked the lady to please move back a little to get to his special guest.

He was looking from row to row, trying to find a specific person, and he kept asking Karen to please step back a few more steps each time.

Finally, as they approached the rear of the plane, he asked her to sit for a second while he grabbed the intercom at the rear of the plane.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to announce our special guest sitting in seat 42c. Let's give her a round of applause"

That was Karen's seat, and she looked utterly mortified.

The whole plane with wild with laughter and applause, and I loved every moment of that.

Karen Demands a Seat Swap

Karen Demands a Seat Swap

In another video shared on TikTok, a mother and daughter were removed from a Southwest Airlines flight after they shouted at other passengers, demanding an aisle seat.

The incident took place on July 15 while the two women were boarding a flight from Sacramento to San Diego...

It's worth noting that the flight had already been delayed for two hours and was nearing full capacity when the mother and daughter attempted to board.

It should be noted that Southwest Airlines follows an open seating policy, which means passengers can choose their seats based on a first-come, first-served basis, as stated on their website.

However, as there were no available aisle seats, one of the women started loudly requesting that passengers give up their aisle seats.

In the video, a flight attendant can be heard telling the younger woman, "We have families. We have little kids. We can't have anybody yelling."

The younger woman refutes the claim of yelling and responds, "I was just trying to make the announcement."

The younger woman agrees they will take their seats, but that her mother will “scream and cry” and “grab onto people.”

In response, the flight attendant informed the mother and daughter that such behavior would jeopardize the safety of the other passengers.

Eventually, an attendant intervened and escorted them off the flight, as reported by the person who recorded the video.

The witness mentioned that as a result of the disturbance caused by the incident, the flight experienced an additional hour of delay before finally departing.

Karen Refuses to Give Up a Seat That’s Not Hers

Karen Refuses to Give Up a Seat That’s Not Hers

Due to a new procurement process at work, I booked a flight to my conference destination really late.

All that was left were middle seats or ponying up personally for an upgrade, which wasn't going to happen for a relatively short flight.

Out in the boarding area, they announced many, many times that it was a full flight and kept begging people to gate-check their bags.

Just so you know, it wasn't subtle, and every passenger was aware of the capacity limits and boarding procedures.

After they let all the military, first class, frequent flyers, and disabled passengers board, my group got to plod down the jetway.

Once we got onto the plane, I could see my fate laid out before me — or, rather, sat before me in my seat.

A Wild Karen was sitting in an aisle seat, the middle was piled with her crap (backpack, electronic devices, stuffed animal, snacks), and a miniature Karen was over in the window seat happily kicking the empty seat in front of her so hard it was visibly shaking.

What a joy. I started counting and realized quickly that's definitely my row...

When I got to the row, I pointed to the middle seat to indicate it was mine. Karen did not budge or move a single thing from her junk pile.

I tried again with the whole,"Sorry, that's my seat" routine.

Karen snapped: "Sit somewhere else."

Me: I can't do that. It's a full flight. This is my assigned seat.

Well, Karen wasn't having that.

Karen: Do you know what kind of day I've had? Our flight was diverted AND we missed their connection, so we got terrible sleep in the airport... overnight! We. Just. Need. A. Little. Space. Sit. Somewhere. Else!

And she shoved her knees up full against the seat in front of her blocking my way.

Then she shut her eyes and pretended to sleep... Don't bother reasoning with a Karen.

Two Karens and One Hat

Two Karens and One Hat

A passenger was removed from a Delta flight because she was wearing a hat that the airline considered "inappropriate."

The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, boarded the plane wearing a baseball cap displaying the word "f***." Upon boarding, the cabin crew asked her to remove the hat.

A video captured the interaction between a woman and the captain of an aircraft.

The captain presented her with two options: (1.) either comply with the flight attendant's request and remove the hat or (2.) be removed from the flight.

In response, the woman questioned where the rule concerning offensive clothing was officially posted.

The captain asserted his authority as the captain of the plane, stating that Delta had guidelines in place, and he did not have to provide further explanation.

Emphasizing that vulgar language, both spoken and written, was inappropriate, the captain made it clear that he would not tolerate it during the flight.

By the time the captain approached the woman, she had already taken off the hat and placed it in her lap, which she demonstrated by adjusting the camera angles in the video.

Despite the captain's request for her commitment not to wear OR display the hat for the entire duration of the flight, the woman refused to comply.

Instead, she repeatedly stated that the hat was in her lap without explicitly agreeing to the captain's request.

The captain insisted on receiving her word, while another passenger can be heard suggesting that she simply comply with the captain's request.

The woman accused the captain of playing games, stating that she had already taken off the hat as instructed.

Eventually, the captain concluded the conversation, expressing his dissatisfaction with the woman's refusal to provide her word.

Unfortunately for this stubborn Karen, this led to her removal from the flight.

Yet Another Karen Demands a Seat Swap

Yet Another Karen Demands a Seat Swap

The ongoing debate regarding whether it's appropriate to ask someone to switch seats on an airplane to accommodate individuals traveling together has sparked discussions for years, and the topic continues to generate differing opinions.

However, one TikToker recently shared an unpleasant experience that has garnered attention and left viewers engaged.

Surya Garg, known as @surya_garg on TikTok, shared her account, explaining that while it can be bothersome to be asked to give up her seat on a plane, she generally complies if it involves a family with young children.

However, on her recent flight, the situation unfolded differently.

Garg had already settled into her window seat when the woman assigned to sit next to her approached.

The woman asked Garg if she would trade seats with her son, indicating a middle seat a few rows behind.

Garg recalls her surprise and skepticism, questioning who the woman's son was.

To her astonishment, the woman pointed to a tall man, around 6 feet 5 inches in height.

Estimating that the son was at least 16 or 17 years old, Garg noticed that he had been talking on the phone with his girlfriend throughout the boarding process, seemingly uninterested in the seating arrangements.

Feeling conflicted, Garg shares her dilemma, not wanting to move as she believes it was a result of the Karen's poor planning.

She reflects on not wanting to appear rude but also questioning her role in this situation.

Ultimately, Garg decided to politely decline the seat switch.

However, the situation didn't end there.

The woman responded with an extremely unpleasant expression towards Garg and reluctantly sat in the middle seat assigned to her.

Meanwhile, the woman's son returned to his assigned seat in the back.

Throughout the entire flight, the woman muttered profanities under her breath directed at Garg.

Karen Doesn’t Understand Personal Space

Karen Doesn’t Understand Personal Space

One passenger from a Spirit flight was listening to some music with her earbuds, but she accidentally dropped them on the floor.

Instead of asking me (who was sitting next to her) to kindly stand up, so she could look for it, she put her head at my feet and her a** in my face while she proceeded to look under the seats for her one earbud.

She continued looking, all the while muttering and mumbling profanities under her breath while children were around.

She came up for a breath, and asked the intoxicated young men behind us if they could look for her earbuds for her.

She also turned to me and said, "Please look under your seat for my earbud. They're new, and they're not broken in yet."

I really didn't want to touch her earbuds, but I looked anyway without getting out of my seat... or putting my a** in someone else's face; I didn't see it.

Unfortunately, one of the men behind us spotted it under my seat, so she ordered me to pick it up for her.

To top that entire experience off, she was the last person on the plane, and she was sitting in a row close to the front of the plane.

She couldn't find a spot for her bag in the overhead compartment with her row, so she had to put it in a compartment much further back.

The kind flight attendant reassured her that she could move her bag to a closer compartment once the plane took off... but still, at the end of the flight, this Karen stood up, and yelled, "Anyone in row 18, please get the blue bag and pass it forward for me, so I can get off this plane."

Airline Stands Up to a Karen

Airline Stands Up to a Karen

An airport manager stood up to a wildly entitled Karen in a video posted on YouTube after she was being rude to a flight attendant.

Allegedly, the Karen had called the innocent employee a b**ch.

The airport manager told the Karen in question that she was no longer welcome to travel with their airline and that she would have to find another carrier.

“Wait, listen,” Karen says in the recording, trying to get the manager’s attention as he walks away.

He reaffirms that her behavior was not appropriate.

Upon asking her directly if she called the flight attendant a b**ch, Karen denies it.

He then asks her not to lie to him as she had done already about her refusal to wear a mask.

Allegedly, the whole incident took place because the Karen in question did not want to follow their mask policy at the time... Shocker!

Homeless Karen Records a Family

Homeless Karen Records a Family

A multiracial family, a mother and daughter from Ohio, were patiently awaiting their luggage upon returning from a trip.

Keeping to themselves, they were soon accosted by a racist Karen.

The mother and daughter were surrounded by Black individuals, and this Karen had no issue with the white mother's proximity.

However, as soon as the Black daughter approached, Karen's behavior took a turn for the worse.

The potentially homeless Karen had been squatting there for two days.

The incident commenced when the white mother initially sat near Karen, resulting in a seemingly normal interaction.

However, once the Black daughter joined her mother, the racist Karen erupted in a fit of rage.

The family deliberately chose the vacant baggage claim area due to one of the daughters having a phone interview, necessitating a quiet place to await their belongings.

However, the situation took an even more uncomfortable turn when Karen inexplicably began illegally recording them.

Sensing the intrusion, the daughter expressed her unease and questioned Karen's motives behind filming them.

Karen retorted that she was safeguarding herself from "dangerous people like them."

Consequently, the mother started recording as well, prompting the mother-daughter duo to confront the racist Karen, who then went berserk in the viral video.

Entitled Karen Argues About a Crying Baby

Entitled Karen Argues About a Crying Baby

A New York woman berated a flight attendant in a viral video and threatened her job, claiming to work for New York Governor Cuomo.

The passenger, Susan Peirez, tells the flight attendant, "I'm not sitting by a crying baby."

Meanwhile, the mother asserts, "He's not going to cry the whole time."

That's when everything went downhill...

Peirez: I want your name.

Flight attendant: It's Tabitha.

Passenger: Thank you, Tabitha. You may not have a job tomorrow.

Flight attendant: I want this lady off the plane.

Upon being called out for screaming at a baby, her attitude quickly changed, saying, "I'm not screaming. I'll be quiet now, please. Hey, I'm sorry, I was really stressed out."

After the video went viral, Susan was forced to take a leave of absence from her job with the New York State Council on the Arts.

Karen Slaps Immigration Officer

Karen Slaps Immigration Officer

A woman, Auj-E Taqaddas, was sentenced to six weeks in an Indonesian jail after she assaulted an immigration officer.

Following an argument over her expired Visa, the Karen took to slapping the immigration officer as if she thought that would solve the issue.

Needless to say, it did not; if anything, it just made everything way more dramatic than it needed to be.

She denies the charges and has since accused the authorities of torturing her since she was arrested.

Entitled Karen Cusses out IT

Entitled Karen Cusses out IT

Setting: Airport office building across the street from terminal.

Cast: Me, an airport IT Field Engineer, and Karen in black dress sandals, no mask, and 2 large handbags.

So, I was heading to terminal from the Administration building and saw a lady that looked like a lost passenger, so I decided to chime in.

Me: Ma'am the terminal is on the other side of this garage.

Karen: But I need to get to Southwest. My flight leaves at 07:15.

Me: It's 07:00. You'll be lucky to make it. It's on the other side of the Garage and across the street. If you go to the counter, they'll help you rebook your flight.

Karen: But that doesn't help.

Karen stormed off downstairs to her car and drove to the other side whilst my colleague and I walked over to our service call in the terminal.

Fast forward to approaching the bridge to the terminal. Karen starts running.

Karen: You could have helped!

Me: Sorry, but we're not with the airlines. There's nothing that we can do for you.

Karen stops in shock with an expression that no one has ever given her a reason to her entitledness.

Karen: But I'm a customer you should've helped.

Me: Nothing I can do for you. Have a nice day.

Then she flipped me off.

Karen: How can you sleep at night with this?

Me: Very soundly. Have a nice Day.

Karen rushed to the Southwest counter at 7:10 where she's told that she's missed her flight

In my years of doing any type of Customer service, this has to be not only the funniest Karma I've ever been a part of but the first time I've been cussed out because it's literally not my job.

Karen Demands to Be Let off Plane

Karen Demands to Be Let off Plane

In a video posted on YouTube, a light attendant is physically and verbally harassed by a Karen who demands to be let off the plane.

The Karen suggests that she’s exhausted and cites not having had a cigarette in quite some time.

Someone in the video noted that the plane had been on the ground for about four hours due to maintenance.

Nevertheless, the airline employees would not give in to her request to get off the plane.

As she attempted to get off the plan through an emergency exit, the flight attendants blocked her from doing so.

Apparently, if she opened the door, the slide would deploy — an incident that would have undoubtedly caused further delay and criminal charges.

Karen Keeps Closing the Window

Karen Keeps Closing the Window

When you have the window seat on a flight, it's an unspoken rule that you are the one who gets to control whether the window is up or down.

Most people in the window seat like to be able to look outside but occasionally, you get those uptight people who really hate natural light.

One Karen hated the window being open so much that she had the audacity to repeatedly close it, despite the fact that the window seat passenger wanted it open.

In a TikTok video from @fiveminutesofcrapppp, you can see the two wrestle with the window until the passenger slaps Karen away on the hand.

Karen Fakes a Medical Emergency

Karen Fakes a Medical Emergency

In 2019, a Karen from Florida was on a morning American Airlines flight from Pensacola to Miami when she falsely claimed to be experiencing a medical issue, hoping to get a first-class seat.

When Karen reported that she had difficulty breathing, the pilot declared an emergency and turned the aircraft back to Pensacola.

The flight crew immediately contacted authorities at Pensacola International Airport.

There, the woman then confessed that she had invented the medical problem solely to secure a bigger seat on the plane.

Initially, the woman refused to leave, leading to a complete evacuation of the aircraft; however, with the intervention of authorities and the pilot, she was eventually persuaded to exit the plane.

No criminal charges were filed, but we think there should have been larger consequences for the inconvenience.
