This is Us quickly became one of the most popular series on NBC, and people can’t stop talking about it (and binging it where it’s available). It's no surprise that the series was renewed. What's more is that it was renewed for three seasons, taking it through to six seasons.
We do have some sad news for fans, however, and we're going to just rip the Band-Aid off -- season six will be the last one. It's pretty heartbreaking but all good things have to come to an end sometime. Season six will debut on Tuesday, January 4th. Supposedly, season six will be the most dramatic ever, so you won't want to miss it.
The Resident is pretty popular, so it's already been renewed for a fifth season. The third season got cut short by three episodes because of the pandemic. The show's executive producer, Todd Harthan, told TVLine, "We had all these building blocks – scripts that were written, and some extra shot footage."
Thankfully, the fourth came back strong and won fans back over. It has maintained an 84% Rotton Tomatoes score, which isn't easy for TV shows. The newest season is the fifth, and it started on September 21st! Currently, there's no news on season six, but if this season goes well, we're guessing it's coming.
Blue Bloods was a hit the moment they cast Tom Selleck as the lead – everyone loves Tom Selleck. However, people stayed because of the drama. It was renewed for the 12th season, which began on October 1st. It had quite a bit of drama and some stuff that riled us up -- what was up with the judge?!
The 12th season is going pretty great, but there hasn't been any news about a renewal. That being said, we see it coming. There's no way it'll get canceled unless something major happens like an actor leaving (and that isn't in the cards currently). As always, we'll keep you updated!
Debris is a brand-new show about two agents who investigate the wreckage of a destroyed alien spacecraft. They're two very different people, but they have to work together to see what this UFO has in store for humanity. It’s one of the first alien conspiracy shows we’ve seen since X-Files, so it’s worth a shot if you liked the classics.
Apparently, the alien theme didn't do it for this series. After a single season, NBC gave Debris the ax. The odd thing is that the first season was actually pretty well received. It maintains a 72% Rotten Tomatoes score. Guess that wasn't enough. Now, the season one finale acts as the conclusion of the show.
Manifest made a huge splash on TV in 2018. NBC was quick to renew it for a second season, which debuted on January 6th, 2020. Season three came pretty quickly, but that wasn't necessarily good news for the show. NBC canceled the show without giving it a chance for a series finale.
That means no season four -- sorry fans! Naturally, those who love the show are pretty angry. Apparently, they're called "Manifesters"...suuure. Currently, the series creator is working hard to find someone else to pick up the series, but no network has taken the bait. Streaming networks are working hard on their own stuff, so this one could be dead.
The Bachelor has been around since 2002 and shows no signs of stopping. The only problem? All the controversy it's faced since the beginning. It got so bad that Rachel Lindsay, the show's only Black Bachelorette, has threatened to leave Bachelor Nation if ABC doesn't correct their behavior in season 25.
This ended up with Chris Harrison being forced to leave the show following some awful comments. It was apparently not an amicable split, and some people are angry at Rachel for the "drama she caused" calling out his behavior. All this has left The Bachelor floating around without a solid return date. Thankfully, it has been renewed, and we can expect it to come in early 2022.
FBI is one of the highest-rated shows on TV right now, so CBS was more than happy to give it a fourth season. Season three began on November 17th. Since the last season was cut short, fans were a little concerned. No worries though – it was all due to concern for the staff members, especially as COVID-19 stirred up.
Thankfully, filming was simply on hold due to COVID-19 (and the show wasn't nixed.). The show is maintaining great ratings and views, so this train won't stop anytime soon. FBI season four is coming, likely returning to its original air date of early fall. On top of that, there have been talks of spin-offs from the show, including FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International.
The Masked Singer is an odd one, but it’s apparently doing well. It’s about celebs who go on the show and sing, but you don’t know who the guests are! It has a ton of mystery that fans absolutely adore. The series was renewed for a sixth season, which began on September 22nd.
Season seven has been officially renewed, although Fox hasn't stated the release date yet. It'll likely be March if the pattern remains the same. On top of that, Fox has begun producing a spin-off called Alter Ego. In this one, singers will create an "Alter Ego" or avatar that will perform how they've always wanted to be seen. Certainly interesting!
The new Roseanne show, sans Roseanne, has quickly become the No. 1 comedy of the 2018-2019 TV season, with a loyal 9.5 million viewers tuning in each week. Guess they didn’t need Barr to keep it going, huh? Execs are more than happy to continue this train, although filming is a little tricky right now.
Season three just started in October as the family dealt with the current world at hand, COVID-19 and politics both. It makes sense considering the show has never shied from hard-hitting topics over the years. ABC liked how the ratings looked, so the series has now been renewed for a fourth season. The next set began on September 22nd, 2021.
Maid is about a single mother who leaves her boyfriend but is forced to fight for custody. All she wants to do is give herself and her little girl the life they deserve. Anyone who started it had a hard time not bingeing all 10 episodes in one week.
It sits in Netflix's top 10, so will there be another season? Well, the series has been billed as a "limited series," meaning that there aren't going to be a ton of seasons. That being said, limited series can often have three seasons or more. Currently, Netflix hasn't said whether Maid will get a second season or not.

Thanks to COVID-19, everything that was planned went out the window, but that doesn’t mean writers were left with nothing. They quickly whipped something up, and fans seem happy so far. This marked the third and final season of the show on the Fox network. The new series will debut on May 20th.
Dramedies are having their moment and shows like Ginny & Georgia are banking off that popularity. The series was released on Netflix in February, and there are already tons of fans. The show revolves around Georgia, who is the mother to Ginny and Austin. They move to Wellsbury to give her kids a better future.
Because of its popularity on Netflix and in the Twitter-sphere, Netflix just announced Ginny & Georgia has officially been renewed for season 2. The cast broke the exciting news with a cute little video on April 19, 2021. The newest season will be debuting on November 29, 2021.
Failure isn’t an option for SEAL Team! We couldn’t help ourselves. The series was renewed for a fourth season, which began in December on CBS. The only question we have: will Jason Boreanaz stay on the show? We can officially say that he will remain in the show for the next season.
Filming has been a little tricky, but season five is well on its way. The biggest change is that it will be moving to Paramount+. The first four episodes will air on CBS, but after that, it's all Paramount+. Boreanaz will also be directing more with this coming season, so that's a huge change. Expect season five on October 10, 2021.
The OG NCIS got renewed for a 19th season pretty quickly. There’s no shocker there since it has had an average of 16 million viewers per episode. Nothing is better than the original! The biggest change is that NCIS will now be moving to Monday nights and will be followed up by NCIS Hawaii.
NCIS: Los Angeles was also renewed for a 13th season and will begin airing in September 2021. NCIS: New Orleans returned for the seventh season in November and continued through February, but sadly, the seventh was the final season for New Orleans. Guess the good times do stop rolling eventually.
WandaVision took Disney+ by storm. Since Disney decided to pull all of its Marvel content, fans knew that they had something in store – turns out, it was their own streaming service! On there, they could continue stories of characters from Phase One (as they move onto Phase Two for the movies).
So far, WandaVision has no official season two, but Kevin Feige has announced that the story will continue just "probably and inevitably in many different capacities." This means that there may not be a season two of WandaVision, but instead, their story could continue in a movie. Only time will tell.
God Friended Me had a decent first season, drawing 10 million viewers in the first episode. It was a comedy-drama about an atheist whose life is totally changed after God hits them up on social media (sliding into their DMs, if you will). It certainly sounds interesting; we’ll give them that.
After the popularity, the series was then renewed for a second season, which began on September 29th. Unfortunately, it didn't keep up the steam. The show was canceled and ended with a two-hour series finale on April 26, 2020. At least fans were given a finale, even if the show didn’t last as long as they wanted.
The Good Doctor is currently ABC's highest-rated series. It's a show about a talented young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. Quite a few critics and other viewers have complained about the portrayal of these two conditions, stating that the character isn’t realistic and is damaging, but fans still remain dedicated to the show.
It apparently has some really great characters and a compelling storyline! Because people are glued to their screens when it comes on, the series was given an additional season! Season five will be airing on September 27, 2021, on Monday nights. However, there will be one change. Antonia Thomas, who plays Dr. Claire Browne, won't be returning with the series. She's open to appearing as a guest star, but that's about it.
Squid Games took the world by storm, and it was all anyone could talk about. This South Korean TV show was about people competing for money in children's games, but losing meant losing your life as well. It was super popular so we figured Netflix would want to renew it, although, we weren't sure the showrunners were interested.

Bridgerton is all the rage these days. Netflix sure knows how to make an original series! Because season one was already one of the most popular TV shows on the whole platform, season two was immediately confirmed. Not only that, but you can expect a third and fourth as well!
There’s only one drawback: not everyone will return. Rege-Jean Page has notoriously exited the show, and some fans are less than happy. The fact of the matter is that he isn’t in the following books. He may make cameos here and there, but he won’t be a regular in the series any longer. Season two will be coming in 2022.
The time has finally come for the Kardashian group to call it! Keeping Up with the Kardashians has been a staple of E! TV for 14 years, but it's all coming to an end. After 20 seasons, the show is ending with its final season, which will air in early 2021.
What will the network do without the sisters? The show helped make the Kardashian family one of the most recognizable families in the world whether you like them or hate them. Season 19 began on September 17th, so season 20 will likely begin around the same time next year. Guess we’ll have to start watching something else…
So, Chip and Joanna famously ditched HGTV in place of their own app, which is called Magnolia! Good for them, but how do we watch it? You can catch new episodes of the couple during their home renos on Discovery+. Currently, Magnolia only has an app, not an official network, but hopefully, they’ll get their own soon.

The new series is called Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, and there are a lot of new design techniques Joanna will be bringing to the show! So far, we know she’s nixing shiplap, but you’ll have to watch the show to see what else won’t be coming back. Fixer Upper: Welcome Home began on January 29, 2021. After The Big Bang Theory had so much popularity, network execs were set on finding another show that was similar to keep fans watching. That’s when they came up with Young Sheldon. The series follows nine-year-old Sheldon Cooper as he skips four grades and starts high school. Growing up wasn’t easy for this kiddo.
The series has been going on for a while now, and if you’re a fan of The Big Bang Theory, it’s definitely worth checking out. Recently, CBS came out and announced that it would be picking up Young Sheldon for a fifth, sixth, and seventh season! Season five was released on October 7th, 2021 while six will be Fall 2022.

Arrow was one of the best superhero TV shows on air. It received critical acclaim and fans flocked to it, using it as the example many other hero shoes ought to follow. Because it was so good, CW was reluctant to let it go. Eight seasons later, and it’s time to end the series.
When CW renewed it for an eighth and final season, fans were sad. Think of it this way though: at least it’ll get the finale it deserves. Aliens really are having their moment right now, aren’t they? This relatively new show is about an alien who crashes on Earth. To blend in, he steals the identity of the town doctor, but that doesn't do any good! A small nine-year-old boy can see him for who he truly is.
Critics are saying that the show “came together in perfect harmony” and that the script alone “leapt off the page.” It helps that they have the talented Alan Tudyk playing the alien. It’s such a big hit that Syfy didn’t bother waiting long before giving it a second season. Whoo! Currently, there's no news when it'll release the new episodes.
Shows like The Voice and American Idol never get old! It’s great to watch it in the beginning because you see the people that…aren’t so great. Then, near the end of the competitions, you see those with a truly heavenly voice. That’s why The Voice has been going on for 20 seasons now!

Shondaland TV shows usually get great ratings. Station 19 is about firefighters instead of doctors (like the beloved Grey’s Anatomy). While about a different emergency service, it still has the same professional and private life balance drama that fans adore from Shonda Rhimes. Station 19 has Shondaland fans in a tizzy since the Grey’s Anatomy crossover.

After Breaking Bad, we realized that Bryan Cranston is an amazing actor. Your Honor is another fine example of that. This series is a huge hit already, and it’s only had one season. It’s about a judge who is breaking the law by hiding his son's hit-and-run. The worst part? The son of an organized crime boss died in the incident.
Critics adore it so much that they’re calling the Golden Globes a sham for shutting the series out. The really unfortunate thing is that Your Honor is billed as a “Limited Series,” basically only a couple of seasons at best. Season two was officially confirmed, but filming won't begin until 2022.

Emily in Paris is about a girl who landed her dream job in her dream city – a marketing exec in Paris. The series stars Lily Collins, who is a pretty good actor by all accounts. However, this rom-com has had quite a bit of hate in the short time it’s actually been going.
Bustle stated the hate is because the show is too unrealistic to be real, but other viewers say “that’s the point!” It’s all about escapism, apparently. Whether you love it or hate it, the series will be returning for its second season come December 22, 2021.
The Queen’s Gambit may have fallen to the wayside thanks to Bridgerton, but it was still insanely popular. It even won two Golden Globes, but that doesn’t mean a second season will come along. When it came out, The Queen’s Gambit was listed as a “Limited Series.” In short, this means that it will only last for one or two seasons at best.
According to the lead actress, they “never thought” about a second season. That being said, she said she really enjoyed working with the team, and it would be great for them to come back together again. That sounds like a one-and-done to us, folks! I wouldn’t expect a second season.

The only thing we need now is the official release date. Being that it's a cartoon, it likely won't be until Fall 2022.

Ratings are beginning to drop, and there have been talks about whether or not it's time to give Grey's Anatomy the conclusion it deserves. Since no one is sure whether or not the show will be renewed, writers are working on a little planning.

Would you believe us if we told you that The Walking Dead has been on TV since 2010? That means it’s been on TV for a whopping 11 years! That’s something to be proud of (even if the ratings have been steadily dropping for years). Somehow, it kept getting renewed, but it’s finally coming to an end.

Showrunner Peter Morgan opened up to The Daily Mail about the decision to wrap it up a bit earlier than originally planned: "You can’t fully examine incidents that happened yesterday.”
He went on to say that “there has to be 10 to 20 years’ distance. And in some instances, much longer." Filming has already begun, and we've been given a release date for the fifth season. You can catch the newest season of The Crown in November 2022, likely around the middle of the month if history of the show has told us anything.
The Mandalorian was a clear hit from the beginning. It was Disney+’s flagship series – the one that got everyone to sign up! Nothing made people click “subscribe” faster than baby yoda! However, fans began to worry when several spin-offs were announced, thinking Disney was abandoning The Mandalorian.
There’s no way! The Mandalorian is definitely coming back for season three. Currently, there isn’t a release date, but it’s certainly coming. Shooting started in early April 2021, so it’ll be 2022 before we get any new episodes. Disney+ is also debuting a series called The Book of Boba Fett in December 2021. The streaming service has made it clear it won't release season three of The Mandalorian until after The Book of Boba Fett debuts.
The Goldbergs is one of ABC's top shows. It's set in the '80s and is about a geeky 11-year-old, Adam, and his crazy family life. It doesn't sound like much, but it's really funny. That being said, this season is a little sadder than usual, and we'll explain why.
As season 8 came to an end, it was announced that the show would be continuing for an additional 9th season, but we quickly received the news that George Segal passed away. Pop will be remembered, and the next season will surely be dedicated to him. The series has stated that it won’t recast him out of respect for the actor. Season 9 began on September 22, 2021.
The third season (released on July 4th) of Stranger Things was absolutely crazy. The show is doing so well, so Netflix won't let it go any time soon. Season 4's renewal was announced back in September 2019 AND the series creators and showrunners, The Duffer Brothers, signed a multi-year film and series overall deal with the streaming giant.
We don't have a release date for season four (and it’s honestly felt like forever since we’ve seen season three), but with the current virus situation and all the other shortage issues, production has been delayed. Regardless, we hope to see it soon to figure out what's going on! Netflix has stated that season four will be coming out "mid-2022," which likely means around the summer.
How To Get Away With Murder is another Shondaland drama that got a lot of attention and for good reason. This one follows an attorney and a few law students as they...well, help people get away with murder. They get themselves into some deep doo-doo, and they find themselves in an odd predicament.
The series was renewed for a sixth season, which premiered on September 25th. For those who adore the show, they may be a little upset to learn that this will be the show's finale. It’s certainly been a wild ride, but all good things must come to an end. The good news is that you may be able to stream the whole thing soon!
The Boys comes from the hilarious mind of Eric Kripke, the same guy who did Supernatural. Of course, everyone knew that the show would end up being fantastic. The first season blew everyone away, and the second kept us glued to our screens. However, there’s been no news about a third?
Don’t worry! It’s renewed! They’ve been doing costume fittings for a new character – Soldier Boy. The funny part? The character is played by Jensen Ackles, who is none other than Dean Winchester from Kripke’s other series. The third season will be coming out sometime next year, so keep an eye out!

Modern Family was destined to do well, especially since Christopher Lloyd was one of the writers. The series is about a literal modern family in every sense of the word. It’s got some belly-rolling laughs and some emotional scenes that will hit the heart. It’s a wonder that the series has lasted as long as it has.
Fans were a little sad to hear that Modern Family would be entering its 11th and final season, but it was time. The finale aired back in April 2020, before COVID-19 had a chance to shut down studios. Honestly, has someone that’s been watching it for a while, it was pretty hard to say goodbye.
The Handmaid’s Tale quickly became one of Hulu's most popular original shows, especially considering the content relates so closely to what’s going on in the world around us. It's no surprise that it was renewed for a fifth season, which was announced on lead actress Moss's Instagram in December 2020.

They're all at different points in their lives, but after one of them dies, they get a clear message: really start living your life. The series did well enough at ABC for the network to renew it for a fourth season!
The fourth season officially began on September 22nd, 2021. Because the current season is still going, we haven't gotten any information about the next season -- season five. As long as ratings stay up, however, a fifth season is certainly written in the stars. For now, just enjoy the new episodes!

Even though The Walking Dead came to a conclusion, the spin-offs are doing well (with more in the making). One of those is Fear the Walking Dead. This epic zombie show began its seventh season on October 17th. On top of that, it’s been renewed for an eighth season via Twitter.
No one is sure how much longer Fear the Walking Dead will remain on air since the main show came to an end. Maybe this means the writers have more time to spend on this spin-off, and it could also mean we’ll get a few cameos (or perhaps regular appearances) from characters we know and love from the OG Walking Dead.
Shark Tank will go on as long as people watch it, and the ratings are there. There’s certainly no end of crazy products out there! Okay, okay. Some of the stuff is actually pretty good – we’re not going to lie. We’ve bought some of the stuff that’s hit the market.
Shark Tank was renewed for a 13th season despite viewership being down. Almost as soon as Shark Tank got the green light, execs and showrunners started to search for a cast and potential new products to wow the investors. Hopefully, this season can give a little oomph to the series. Season 13 began on October 8, 2021.
Empire was about Lucious Lyon, who is a hip-hop artist and CEO of Empire Entertainment. The series was actually rated pretty highly, and people really enjoyed it. It isn’t such a big surprise that the show won a Golden Globe! The cast as star-studded, but that’s exactly where it went wrong.
Empire starred an actor named Jussie Smollett. Smollett reported that he was assaulted, and a manhunt began, looking for the individuals he described. The problem? It was all a lie. After all this drama, network execs decided to end Empire. The sixth and final season debuted on September 24th.
American Housewife is a series about Katie Otto, a wife and mother. She tries to maintain her sense of self and family while dealing with the other pretentious, arrogant housewives that live in her neighborhood. The series has pretty good critics and fan reviews, but it sadly doesn’t get a lot of attention.
The strange thing is that it's among one of ABC's top sitcoms. It currently has seven total sitcoms, and American Housewife ranks third. -- only trailing behind The Conners and The Goldbergs. Regardless of the stats, we won't see the sixth season for this show.
Hell’s Kitchen is vulgar but super enjoyable to watch. Gordon Ramsey definitely knows how to light a fire under his chef’s butts! Naturally, people tune in every week, and Fox is more than happy to keep renewing the series. Not only was Hell’s Kitchen renewed for a 20th season but also, a 21st season!
That’s fantastic news! The 20th just wrapped up, and it was certainly a doozy of a season with lots of yelling -- what else should we have expected? Because the newest season just ended, we won't see the newer seasons until next year (2022). The release date is TBD, however.
Chicago Fire, Med, and P.D. have all been renewed. That means it’s party time! This is one of the top series on NBC, and fans are just gobbling each of them up. Chicago Fire was renewed for a 10th and 11th season, Chicago Med will get a 7th season, and Chicago P.D. will head into its nineth.
All three have a history of debuting one after the other, with the start date to be September 22nd, 2021. Other spin-offs have been attempted, but they don’t have the same flare (or actors). If you want to watch all of the Chicago series, you can catch them on Peacock.
The Expanse is an extremely popular show, and the fans are happy to let everyone know about it. Why do we say that? Well, it was nearly permanently canceled by SyFy, but they didn’t sit quietly and let The Expanse end without a finale – not since other streaming networks pick up shows for a finale.
The fans managed to get Amazon to pick up The Expanse for a fifth and sixth season! The only caveat is that the sixth season will be the series finale. It will have a total of 10 episodes and will begin airing on December 10th. It’s fewer than the previous seasons, but at least the show has an ending!
Fresh Off the Boat is a breath of fresh air. It’s a series about a group of immigrants trying to make it in America. The show was moved to Friday nights, which is considered the kiss of death, but that didn’t matter. It remained strong for a sixth season, but then the bad news came.
Fresh Off the Boat got a cancellation notice. To give it an ending, the series had a two-part finale on February 21st. It made TV history for being the longest-running comedy with an Asian American-led cast. It may not be on TV anymore, but it’ll certainly go down in history.
As much as you want the series to keep going, don’t expect The Big Bang Theory to continue past 12 seasons. Many people speculate that Jim Parsons is the reason as he requested an exit to pursue other things. There’s no shame there, especially since the series has been going on since 2007 – that’s over a decade!
Since The Big Bang Theory wouldn’t be the same without his character, the series will see its close with the 12th and final season. The finale aired May 16. Instead, you can catch Young Sheldon, which is a spin-off of Jim Parson’s character. It’s about his life as he grows up. It certainly should be awesome!
If you’re a fan of The Real Housewives, then we have good news! Bravo has renewed Real Housewives of Atlanta, Beverly Hills, New Jersey, New York City, Orange County, and Potomac. Okay, that wasn’t actually that much of a surprise since it’s one of the biggest shows on the entire network. The only series on hold is The Real Housewives of Dallas.
The release date for Atlanta and Beverly Hills is May 2022. Then we have the release date of New Jersey as February 2022, NYC mid to lave 2022, Orange County was December 1st, 2021 (with major cast shakeups to come), and Potomac currently TBD. As for Dallas, there's no news whether or not it'll come back at all.
After being saved by NBC, Brooklyn Nine-Nine has been given the opportunity to really thrive. And honestly? It's better than ever. It's even been renewed through season eight. The saddest part is that the series will be concluding with a shortened eighth season. Samberg stated they had to take a step back because, "how you make a comedy show about police right now."
Producer Dan Goor stated, "ultimately, we felt it was the best way to honor the characters, the story and our viewers. I know some people will be disappointed it’s ending so soon, but honestly, I’m grateful it lasted this long. Title of my ___ tape." We're excited, saddened, and completely understand all the statements. The final episodes aired beginning on April 12th, 2021.
The Flash was renewed for an eighth season, but it isn't going to be returning at the same time. It had to be pushed back a little bit and currently has a release date of November 16th, 2021.
Eric Wallace, who has been an executive producer of the show since season four, will be replacing Todd Helbing as showrunner going forward. Thankfully, it still remained a great show. With the eighth season beginning, we wait to see what will happen.
Bob’s Burgers was renewed for a 12th season by Fox. The show took over Brooklyn Nine-Nine's spot to give it "a better chance," according to Fox execs. That turned out to be a pretty big mistake, but whatever. Bob's Burgers is a pretty good show, so no shade.

The Blacklist will return to NBC for the ninth season. There's one caveat, though. Megan Boone, one of the biggest characters in the show, won't be coming back with the show. She plays FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen, so her absence will certainly be felt. That being said, it isn't like the show couldn't continue without her.

Narcos: Mexico was a bit of a surprise success -- at least to fans. The original Narcos captivated audiences, but we weren't sure a spin-off could have the same vibe as the original about Pablo Escobar. After all, he was pretty unique. That being said, Narcos: Mexico is going great. Season three just released on November 5th, 2021, and audiences are glued to their screens.
The sad part? Narcos: Mexico is over with. There won't be a fourth season. One of the creators had a part in it and said, "I saw this season as an origin story of the modern world we live in. For me, it felt like bringing the show up to that spot where we now recognize, for better or worse, made sense as a place to stop it." That's something we can respect.
America’s Funniest Home Videos was renewed simultaneously for a 31st and 32nd season. That's good news for a show! Season 32 began on October 3rd, 2021, and will show through March.
