89. Daenerys Targaryen

She is the Mother of Dragons! The Unburnt! The Queen of Andals! Blah, blah, blah. Once again, no spoilers, but even though the character definitely didn't have the ending she deserved in the series, this cosplayer did her justice. The dragon even looks real. Where in the world did she score that thing?
Half the battle of a good cosplay is good makeup skills. If you have no creative talent -- we're talking zip, zilch, nada -- then it's time to start practicing. Even the most novice of cosplayers can pull off some simple character makeup, but it takes series talent to achieve this Mother of Dragons look.
88. Princess Leia

No one will ever beat Carrie Fisher, but this Princess Leia cosplay certainly gives her a run for her money. No wonder she has an armed escort... We wouldn't be surprised if everyone at the convention center wasn't gawking at her throughout the hallways. Not to mention the constant photo ops!
Star Wars is one of the most popular nerdy film franchises in history and a popular fandom to cosplay at all types of conventions. There are even dedicated Star Wars conventions for the nerdiest of the nerds. But if you ever needed proof that geeks are just as worthy of attention as jocks, this picture says it all.
87. Scar

Not everyone has to cosplay as a human, you know. This Scar cosplay proves that. With a little imagination, anything can be possible. Isn't that how Disney cames up with all their characters? Seriously though, the best way to make cosplay your own is to come up with original costume ideas.
Sure, if you want to be the 1,000th Harley Quinn iteration in the arts hall, go right ahead. No one is stopping you and no one wants to prevent you from achieving your dreams. However, the costumes that get noticed are the exceptionally creative ones, even if they're a little niche.
86. Ana

Every Comic Con, there are tons of people who dress up as Overwatch characters. One of the best is unequivocally Ana. While she may be a grandma in the game, she has some serious firepower. Also, age doesn't come into play with cosplay. Neither does race, gender, sexual orientation -- whatever!
If there's a character you want to cosplay, go for it! The costume-making and contention-attending community is undeniably accepting of everyone. You kind of have to be if you're dressing up as a video game character on the weekend after a long day of professionalism and productive work at the office.
85. Hooters

So, we don't know if this woman is cosplaying, but we're assuming she is. And it's an equally hilarious and genious costume all at the same time. On top of the anime-worthy pink wig and the giant gaming headphones, everyone can recognize where she drew her inspiration from. Good one!
We just love to see that even the people that have to work Comic Con get in on the fun! We wonder if this is some form of commentary on mysoginy or the patriarchy or even gatekeeping in the nerdy and cosplay communities... or perhaps she just got off work and didn't have time to change past throwing on a wig.
84. The Witch of Dathomir

Isn't this a sight that could bring anyone to their knees? The Witch of Dathomir, aka a Nightsister, laying on the cold floor in front of R2D2. We all know (at least, you should know) that R2D2 is the lovably sassy and nonsensical robot from the Star Wars franchise, popping up in nearly every movie.
But what about this mysterious witch character? The Witch of Dathomir is also part of the Star Wars universe, but they don't pop up in the OG films. These witches are force-sensitives natives of the planet Dathomir (get it?) and pop up in plenty of literature and episode of the hit prequel TV series The Clone Wars.
83. Fembots

Okay, so this one may be a little more obscure, which are honestly some of the best costumes at conventions. Nothing beats seeing that one minor character you loved come to life! As for this costume, remember Austin Powers? Well, you should remember this one or you seriously need to rewatch the film.
Bring in the FEMBOTS! Certainly one of the most efficient androids we've seen. This feminine squad proves that cosplay isn't a merely a solitary activity characterized by sewing until 4 in the morning and crying over your glue gun. No! There's an entire community of nerds waiting to collaborate with you on your next amazing idea.
82. Power Puff Girls

So this one is straight out of our childhoods. The Power Puff Girls was our jam, and these girls do them justice. "Wait, weren't there three?" You are correct. You probably noticed there's an extra gal in the squad. The one in yellow is Princess Morbucks, but money can't buy sugar, spice, and everything nice.
The great thing about cosplay is you can reuse costumes for many different occassions. From convention halls to artist alleys, break out that costume you poured months of work and paychecks into for Halloween and random Friday-night costume parties. Everyone deserves to see your crafstmanship brought to life, not just the nerds!
81. Major Motoko

You would think that you would have to have a certain type of figure to pull off this cosplayand it certainly helps for accuracy, but it's not required. This girl is dressed as Major Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. Say what you will, but she pulled it off (and well).
However, cosplay isn't merely about accuracy. No matter how cheesy the saying is, it's really all about having fun doing what you love and making nerdy memories with friends. A character you want to cosplay might be a few sizes larger or a few sizes too small; no matter what, you can pull off the costume.
80. Gandalf

Normally, we wouldn't call Gandalf sexy. Some of y'all might want to interject on that, but have you seen this Grey Wizard? Take a look at this picture before you speak and you're opinion will either completely change or merely be confirmed with utmost certainty. Flaunt it if you got it.
Oh, yeah, the Jon Snow looks good too, we guess. But the grey beard, the leotard, the hat? What more could you want for a cheeky Gandalf gag cosplay? As much as there's a culture of seriousness surrounded how well crafted and accurate your costume is, there are plenty of people who merely want to make people laugh.
79. Pikachu

Detective Pikachu, set aside! This cosplay is so great that even Ryan Reynolds was probably blown away (don't worry, we'll explain). Consider us thunderstruck. You have to have heard of Pokemon games and the most famous little creature associated with the franchise, Pikachu, but did you know the little lightning bolt also has a role as a private investigator?
Detective Pikachu is a Nintendo adventure game developed for the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming systems. It is a spin-off of the Pokémon franchise where players works with a talking Pikachu who has a mysteriously low, serious voice to solve various mysteries. In 2019, Rob Letterman directed a movie inspired by the original game featuring the voice of, you guessed it, Ryan Reynolds.
78. Bunny Barnes

Bucky is one of the cosplay community's favorite characters, especially within the Marvel comics genre, but this cosplayer took it to a whole new level. Remember what we said about creativity? She's scoring major points for that. This Bunny Barnes certainly had people taking more than one (or two) looks.
Sensuality and cosplay sometimes go hand in hand, which isn't usually the fault (or the intention) of the original creators of the characters, but that's just what happens! Cosplay tends to bring out the confidence in even the most bashful folks, and we all know that anime artists are completely intentional with their depictions.
77. Girls of DC

What do you do with villains like this? Harley Quinn and Catwoman is a pair-up we'd like to see in movies.
Batgirl is looking pretty great too.
76. Harley Quinn

No doubt that Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad was super popular. This girl made us do a double-take because she looks just like Margot Robbie in the film.
We wonder if she has voices in her head, too.
75. Arkham Catwoman

Arkham City is one of the best Batman games in the whole franchise.
When fans got to play as one of the best characters, Catwoman, we all jumped at the chance.
74. Catwoman

The best Catwoman that ever was and ever will be is Michelle Pfeiffer from Batman Returns.
Does this cosplay prove our point?
73. Harley Quinn Classic

Harley Quinn has had tons of costumes over the years.
While the Suicide Squad one is apparently everyone's favorite, ours is the corset costume. Talk about head-turning!
72. Wonder Woman

Is there an icon that's stronger than Wonder Woman? Uh, no.
This princess of butt-kicking and bullet-blocking looked especially good. Power pose!
71. Jinx

Jinx from League of Legends is a toughie!
This high-flyin' crazy girl has huge weapons and is pretty scary when you get down to it. This girl? Perfect fit.
70. Elvira

Elvira is a classic. Considering the original Elvira goes to so many conventions (especially Comic Con), it's the perfect place to meet your idol.
That makeup is ah-may-zing.
69. Chainsaw Lollipop

Chainsaw Lollipop wasn’t the best game out there, but it wasn’t bad.
It was fun, and that’s exactly what this person had in mind when they were designing this cosplay.
68. Domino

Not everyone loved the new Domino, but we adored her.
That's why we wanted to include this amazing cosplay. Girl, get it!
67. Zero Two

Zero Two is probably one of the most popular anime characters out there, so she had to be included on the list.
This cosplay is brave and outstanding – complete with tall stilettos!
66. Joker

This Femme Joker has Joaquin Phoenix shaking in his boots.
Everything about this cosplay screams suave and classy while also being scary. Tell us a good joke?
65. Black Cat

Felicia Hardy is a great character, and we’d love to see a movie about her.
For now, we’ll just settle for this cosplayer.
64. The Queen and Her Raven

Disney? Nope! This one is the Evil Queen and Raven.
Yes, they were made into Disney characters, but these two are cosplaying the original German tales in all their creepy glory.
63. Poison Ivy

We’ve seen a lot of variations of Poison Ivy, but this one is pretty amazing.
She certainly looks better than Uma Thurman did in Batman and Robin.
62. Ahmanet

Ahmanet, or better known as the Mummy from the 2017 film of the same name, is a cosplay only for the brave.
The character was literally just covered in scraps of cloth. No doubt she turned some heads at Comic Con.
61. Spider Gwen

With Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, Spider Gwen has gotten a lot more attention, and that’s a good thing.
She’s a great character. Who knows, maybe we’ll see her in her own film soon.
60. Steampunk Batman

When you are looking to create a unique version of your favorite character, steampunk is always sure to work.
And this one is particularly cool – because it's Batman! Why be yourself, when you can be Batman?
59. Steampunk Catwoman

Every good Batman costume has to have a complementary Catwoman costume and this one is it.
That mustache on Batman though feels like it's going to give away his identity. Just saying.
58. Hawkman

This costume is a little hard to miss. I mean, it's totally outlandish.
He looks like he's about to fly off at any minute – back to wherever he came from.
57. Watchdog

Wow, this costume is incredible. Look how life-like it is!
He almost looks like a real dog. Or maybe it is a real dog? Nah…
56. Children of the Forest

These creepy kids aren't actually kids at all, as you can see. Hopefully, they aren't planning to summon any ice zombies this time around.
They seem to be a bit preoccupied with their devices, so we are probably safe.
55. Moon Knight

Moon Knight is a comic book character from Marvel comics and if you don't remember that movie because there are so many of them, that's probably because it hasn't come out yet.
But this one's all ready to combat the plague. *Ahem* You're late.
54. Captain America

It's just Captain America doing his civic duty.
He's getting his blood drawn at a San Diego blood bank.
53. Dude Vader

Dude Vader is some strange steampunk samurai…thing.
And there's really a lot going on here, but people seem to enjoy it. May the force be with him.
52. Robin Buckley and Demogorgon

One of the most beloved characters from Season 3 of Stranger Things and then also a terrifying plant-lizard monster.
Now, it's been a while since we've seen that season, but we are pretty sure they aren't supposed to be friends.
51. Corpse Bride and Mandalorian

This happy couple doesn't seem to have much in common but that doesn't seem to stop them from having a good time.
Embrace your differences. This is the way.
50. Black Panther

Black Panther has become one of the most inspiring superheroes for a new generation.
Expect to see a lot more costumes like these with plenty of interpretations. Wakanda forever!
49. Iron Warrior

If you don't know who this character is – well – we don't really know either.
And while he looks pretty tough, it could just be some cats stacked on top of each other.
48. Anck-su-namun

If you remember the late '90s version of the Mummy, you probably remember this costume.
What little of it is actually there, that is.
47. Scarecrow

We think this Scarecrow cosplay from the Batman Arkham games is truly something out of a nightmare.
Or it's just someone's quarantine outfit.
46. Iron Woman

Who says Iron Man has to be a man?
Iron Woman spells perfect sequel opportunity if you ask me.
45. Mercy

Overwatch's Mercy is the game's healer.
Just what we need right now, for just about everyone.
44. Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is getting ready for her wedding day.
But hopefully it's not to that toxic boyfriend of hers!
43. Wolverine

Wolverine is long gone in the film series but some people haven't moved on.
He lives on now in the world of cosplay for people who aspire to be grumpy superheroes.
42. Mystique

This awesome cosplayer got the inbetween phase of Mystique transforming into a disguise. A super unique idea!
She may only be halfway through her metamorphosis, but this X-Men enthusiast definitely went all out.
41. Wonder Woman

This cosplay is amazing and honestly, she looks just like Gal Gadot in the new Wonder Woman movie.
All she's missing is the lasso of truth, but she won't need it for us to admit how great this costume is.
40. Hawkgirl

Those wings. Need we say more?
We certainly appreciate the commitment, though we're not quite sure how she was able to make it through the doors.
39. Jon Snow

We're pretty sure that's the actual Kit Harrington. Either that, or he's got a twin.
Take a tip from this super-fan: find someone to imitate who already matches your style.
38. Samurai Spiderman

A cool take on a classic character!
More than just an attempt at recreation, this web-slinger encourages us to make the characters our own.
37. Bowsette

Honestly the detail that went it this is incredible.
Make sure you don't cross this cosplayer-- you might end up getting thwhomped.
36. Princess Zelda

Regal, elegant, beautiful. This cosplayer's got it all, just like Zelda herself!
She is the princess herself, pointy ears and all.
35. Ruby

As gorgeous and amazing as the gem this character is named after.
The costume wouldn't be complete with out a blade as big as the character herself.
34. Kitana

Gorgeously intricate, this cosplayer killed it!
Keep Kitana on your side or else you may end up as another one of her fatalities.
33. Voltron

Mech suits are super popular cosplays, and this one looks like a ROAR-ing good time.
In the spirit out of the suit, this costume really came together.
32. Doc Oc

Those arms are so cool! Wonder how long they took? And if it was hard to maneuver through doorways?
This doc has got all our Spidey senses tingling.
31. Mercy

Expertly done! Cheers, love!
Don't let the pretty face fool you!
30. Captain America

Chris Evans who?
He looks as tough as that shield he's holding.
29. D.Va

Not quite a full mech-suit, but this one is still large and crazy awesome! All systems operational. D.Va, ready for combat.
Nailed the look, but may have some trouble if somebody sneaks up from behind.
28. Angel of Death

Wings are a super complicated thing to craft, but this cosplayer pulled it off. They obviously didn't wing it!
We never expected to be this impressed when face to face with death.
27. Pyramid Head

That sword is SUPER intimidating. We'd be terrified to see this coming at us. Great job!
As if the blood-soaked clothes weren't scary enough.
26. Bucky Barnes

Step aside, Captain America--Buck is here to save the day.
Who says that sidekicks can't rock?
25. Merida

This cosplayers fate must've been to make one the most gorgeous Brave cosplays ever!
All around epic!
24. Eijiro Kirishima

The super-popular anime My Hero Academia has turned out some truly awesome cosplays, just like this one! It's not hard to see why we like it!
Keep your distance when checking out this costume!
23. Kha’Zix

One of the coolest we've seen for sure!
This cosplayer is really in a League of their own.
22. Gamora and Thanos

What did it cost? Probably a lot of money, honestly.
Thanos looks like such a good dad here. Who could think he's about to snap half of the convention out of existence?
21. Brigitte

An epic shot for an epic cosplay!
Stand back from this buff skull-buster.
20. Tiny Tina

This cosplayer honestly looks like they've leaped straight out of the graphic novel-styled game and right into our world!
We appreciate the attention to detail, but you'd think lugging around a prop that's taller than you are would get pretty old.
19. Pinhead

This is both super cool and super creepy, but we're digging it.
This cosplayer may have take acupuncture a bit too far...
18. Jack and Sally

They have a floating ghost dog and look amazing! They're simply meant to be on this list!
What's this? What's this? An excellent pair of costumes, that's what!
17. Hera Syndulla

You don't have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to find an amazing cosplay like this!
Here's a strong case for why Hera Syndulla deserves a solo film, and we've already got a star.
16. Night Queen

This corpse bride is killing it with her amazing attention to detail!
This bride must have spent hours on that makeup, but it was well worth it.
15. Darth Maul

While we definitely think Darth Maul is evil, we think this cosplay is nothing short of amazing!
We'll be seeing this superfan in our nightmares.
14. Dr. Strange

Magic doesn't make a lot of sense to us, but this cosplay sure does!
A costume that's truly outside the the limitations of space and time.
13. Angel and Rogue

Our one question for cosplayers with these giant wings is how do you get through doors? Amazing, nonetheless!
Stand clear in case this hero turns too quickly.
12. Carnage and Black Cat

Yikes, this might be a death that Spiderman can't come back from.
The perfect combination of sexy and scary.
11. Hawks

Are we sure Hawks himself hasn't somehow flown out of the manga and into the real world?
Not only does he have the outfit, he's got the attitude to match.
10. Ezra Scarlet

Erza may live for her friends but we're living for this cosplay.
Great costume AND a great way to clear through a crowd.
9. Bellatrix and Voldemort

These two look like they're about to make trouble for all the muggles at Comic Con.
They might do evil, but they sure look good doing it!
8. Loki

We can see why this Loki cosplay made people do a double-take. It also makes us wonder what it would be like if Loki had been a woman instead… Not that it matters at all. Either way, this costume is jaw-dropping and the creator is totally deserving of endless praise.
Not to give away any spoilers, but we guess the Loki point is moot now after Avengers: Endgame. If you didn't know, the character Loki is inspired by Norse mythology, along with the rest of the Asgardian cast. Loki is known as a trickster god prone to shape-shifting and enacting revenge on his enemies.
7. Pit

It looks like Pit has made his way out of the Kid Icarus universe and into the real world.
With a sword like that, I'd keep my distance!
6. Widowmaker

If you're going to cosplay as Widowmaker, you'll need to invest in some serious body paint.
Luckily, this fan took things all the way and ended up looking great!
5. Odin

A truly incredibly beautiful cosplay with an phenominal attention to detail!
Check out that armor; cosplayers, take notes.
4. Skull Kid

Skull Kid is still wearing Majora's mask, so it can be hard to tell if he's friend or foe.
But whatever the case is, this cosplay look is absolutely stunning.
3. Kaneki Ken

Kaneki's story in the anime might be considered a tragedy, but this cosplay sure isn't!
The only way to make this look more authentic would be a couple of real snakes, though we wouldn't recommend it.
2. Big Sister

The Big Sister from Bioshock 2 is one of the creepiest of creepy things in the game.
Hopefully, this one isn't planning on extracting anything from anyone's corpse, but we couldn't promise.
1. Tony Stark

We miss you 3,000.
What better way to commemorate this awesome franchise?
