The Hottest Men of All Time

James Dean

James Dean

James Dean was America's first big teenage bad boy--and boy could he make the ladies (and the men, apparently) swoon. There's no one else in the world who could make a plain white t-shirt look so good.

Dean was most famous for his starring role in Rebel Without a Cause, but he was also featured in other cinema classics like East of Eden and Giant. His career and life were tragically cut short by a car wreck when he was only 24.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron

Zac Efron knows how to take care of his body in a way that borders on witchcraft. He just seems to be getting hotter with age, and props to him for getting his start on the Disney channel without having a very public breakdown as he transitioned into adulthood.

If for some reason just looking at him isn't enough, he's had a steady (but not necessarily prestigious) movie career--including films like The Greatest Showman and Dirty Grandpa

Marlon Brando

Marlon Brando

Marlon Brando was so hot that it's almost boring to mention him--but people very much had good reason to stare at this American Adonis. The perpetually angsty eyes, the lips that would get him accused of fillers these days...every part of him was just right.

Brando had no shortage of major acting roles during his life--with some of his biggest being A Streetcar Named DesireOn the Waterfront, and The Wild One.

John Stamos

John Stamos

Thanks to his role on Full House, John Stamos became America's sexy uncle, which, thankfully, is not actually as weird as it sounds. And the man has only continued to look good as he ages.

In addition to his role on Full House, Stamos has been seen on hits like General HospitalTales from the Crypt, and Law & Order: SVU

Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington

Denzel Washington is another guy who is so famously hot that it almost feels boring to put him on the list. But I say give the people what they want, and what they want is Denzel--who was hot, currently is hot, and probably will stay hot to the grave.

Washington's acting career has spanned decades, including hits like American Gangster and Remember the Titans. He's also managed to rack up two Oscar wins and nine nominations.

Morrissey

Morrissey

In the 80s, Morrissey was emaciated, effete, and perpetually mopey. And my God, did all of those things look so good on him. Like most of us, time has not been kind to Morrissey's body, but we'll never forget what once was.

Morrissey rose to stardom as the singer of the English band The Smiths, and has pretty much continued his big-mouthed musical career ever since.

Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield is an actor, I'm told, but I would argue that opening his mouth just gets in the way of what people really like about him. And that's his great jawline, full head of hair, and his body that's just the right amount of lanky.

Garfield is unfortunately most well known for playing Spiderman, but he's got some real acting credentials under his belt, too--including a Tony win and an Oscar nomination.

Henry Rollins

Henry Rollins

During his punk rock days, shorts were often enough for Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins. And not to be crass, but I'd say that sometimes they were too much. I would imagine in his youth that he was best appreciated from afar--something tells me he didn't smell great.

After the breakup of Blag Flag, Rollins would not only continue his music career but also began making appearances in radio, film, and TV as well.

Machine Gun Kelly

Machine Gun Kelly

Okay, controversial pick--I know. He might not be worth a lick, but I would look at Machine Gun Kelly's body until my eyes rotted in their sockets, and I'm not about to apologize for it.

When he's not being hot, you can find Machine Gun Kelly "rapping" and "acting."

Donald Glover

Donald Glover

I think Donald Glover looks his best with a scruffy beard, but he's got a face that looks good with pretty much any facial hair configuration. Although in a perfect world he might keep his shirt on a bit more than he actually does.

At this point in his career, Glover has done a little bit of everything. He got started as a writer for 30 Rock, went on to star on Community, and has recently gotten more attention for his musical pursuits.

Scott Baio

Scott Baio

In the 70s and 80s, Scott Baio was living proof that bug eyes and a goofy haircut did not preclude you from being hot. I'm not sure how he made it work, but Charles is in charge, and who am I to question his infinite wisdom?

Baio is probably most famous for his role as Chachi Arcola on Happy Days--as well as its spin-off Joanie Loves Chachi

Rami Malek

Rami Malek

I'll just say it--Rami Malek looks sickly. And apparently sickly is hot. Those sunken cheeks look like they could cave in at any moment, and I am here for it wholeheartedly. It doesn't make sense, but not much about beauty does.

Malek first rose to fame as the star of USA's Mr. Robot, but more recently, he's been known for his big-screen roles like Bohemian Rhapsody

Taye Diggs

Taye Diggs

The most infuriating thing about Taye Diggs is that he doesn't even need to be hot. If you took away his good looks, he would still have an amazing life and career. But we can't shy away from unpleasant truths--Taye Diggs is a stone-cold fox.

In addition to a successful Broadway careers, Diggs has also been featured in several movies and TV shows. These include The West Wing, Law & Order, and Chicago

Sufjan Stevens

Sufjan Stevens

If you can cut through all the sensitivity and creativity and singer-songwriterness of Sufjan Stevens, you'll arrive at the most important stuff--his looks. Dude looks like he's cut out to work on an oil rig, and yet here he is playing the banjo, wearing day-glo wings, and singing about God.

Stevens has released a total of seven solo albums, and his song "Mystery of Love" was nominated for an Oscar after it was featured in the film Call Me By Your Name

Tupac Shakur

Tupac Shakur

Tupac was not a great guy, but he was definitely a good looking one. He looked and acted tough, but there was definitely something soft in his eyes too.

Posthumously, Tupac became one of the best-selling musicians of all times--he's currently sold over 75 million records worldwide.

Paul Newman

Paul Newman

Kids these days might laugh when you try to tell them that the guy on the salad dressing bottles used to be smoking hot, but it's the gospel truth. There's just something about eyes that look slightly sedated and a nose that's huge in all the right ways.

Newman did a little of everything during his accomplished life--including an iconic acting career, a stint as a race car driver, and lots of charitable giving.

Bobby Rydell

Bobby Rydell

Decades before teenage girls were losing their minds over Justin Bieber, they were losing their minds over Bobby Rydell. And just FYI, he's still alive--in case anyone still has a mind they'd like to lose. At his peak in the early 60s, he had a pompadour up to the heavens and a head full of teeth that would blind you with their brightness.

In addition to his music career, Rydell also starred as Hugo in the movie adaptation of Bye Bye Birdie

Matthew Broderick

Matthew Broderick

If you were a teenager in the 80s, there's a good chance that Ferris Bueller was your first celebrity crush. Although I suppose that Matthew Broderick should get some credit for those devilish good looks, too.

In addition to his iconic role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Broderick has done it all in the acting world--from The Lion King to The Producers

James Franco

James Franco

Love him or hate him, James Franco is a good looking guy. Everything that comes out of that pretty face might be obnoxious, but you can't deny that it's pretty.

After rising to prominence on the cult TV show Freaks and Geeks, Franco was basically unstoppable in the acting world. He's won two Golden Globes and snagged an Oscar nomination.

Rock Hudson

Rock Hudson

If you were in the golden era of Hollywood and were looking for good, old fashioned American homoeroticism, you had your pick of actors. But none of them were quite as good as Rock Hudson. He was living proof that everything was better with a pair of rippling biceps.

Hudson's acting career spanned over four decades and included big hits like Pillow Talk and Giant

Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman might not be the all-out hottest man of all time, but he's been consistently attractive over a number of years, and that's something that these model-hot guys in their 20s are gonna wish they had when they hit 40.

Bateman is most well known as Michael Bluth on Arrested Development, but he's been in the acting game for years--with his first role being on the TV adaptation of Little House on the Prairie.

Tyson Beckford

Tyson Beckford

Tyson Beckford is here to show that bald is beautiful. Although perfect teeth, symmetrical features, and a body that refuses to quit aren't holding him back any, either.

To absolutely no one's surprise, Beckford got his star as a Ralph Lauren model. But he's also had a few movie and TV roles since the early 2000s as well.

Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik

When he was in the world's hottest boy band, it wasn't cool to say that Zayn Malik was hot. But now that they've broken up, I can finally state the obvious. That genetics should be allowed to go so right is basically criminal.

After the breakup of One Direction, Malik continued to find success as a solo artist. He's also currently expecting a child with model Gigi Hadid.

Adam Levine

Adam Levine

I'm a sucker for tattoos, and Adam Levine has plenty of them. But even beyond that, he's still quite the looker. And I'd say he really lucked out because he doesn't need to look slick to look good. Adam Levine in a tux? Meh. Adam Levine after just waking up? Yes please.

In addition to being the frontman of Maroon 5, Levine has more recently gained popularity as a guest judge on the singing reality show The Voice

Axl Rose

Axl Rose

Let's just for a moment pretend that modern-day Axl Rose doesn't exist. In our temporary state of delusion, time never ravaged him and he forever stayed as a beautiful, long-haired rock god. That's not what really happened, obviously, but needless to say, Axl Rose was hot in the 80s. Today? No comment.

He found superstardom as the lead singer of Guns N' Roses, and has pretty much ridden that gravy train ever since. And I do not blame him for doing so in the slightest.

Errol Flynn

Errol Flynn

The name Errol Flynn might not mean much to people these days, but in the golden era of Hollywood, he was a big deal. And he was also quite the looker. The weird, wispy mustache that he sported wouldn't work on everyone, but for some reason, it just looked right on him.

Flynn's biggest movie roles include The Adventures of Robin Hood, Dodge City, Captain Blood, and Santa Fe Trail

(Image via Facebook)

Gregory Peck

Gregory Peck

When reading To Kill a Mockingbird, I never really thought of Atticus Finch as hot. But that all changed when I watched Gregory Peck portray him in the movie adaptation. Now the film is a total snooze-fest, but it's worth the trouble just to get to stare at Peck for a couple hours.

Peck had an acting career that spanned decades and included several Oscar nominations. Some of his most enduring films include How the West Was Won, The Omen, and Cape Fear

(Image via Facebook)

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal's look has changed over the years, but he's somehow managed to stay consistently attractive. Beard or no beard, slicked-back hair or a crazy tussle--they all look good on him.

Gyllenhaal has been acting since childhood, which makes sense considering he comes from a family of actors. Some of his biggest roles include Donnie Darko, Brokeback Mountain, and The Day After Tomorrow.

Dave Franco

Dave Franco

Like his brother, Dave Franco is hot whether you like him or not. But he's got a bit more of the clean-cut, all-American vibe to him.

Franco has quickly established himself as a solid comedic actor in Hollywood, with roles in big films like 21 Jump Street, Superbad, and The Disaster Artist.

Harry Styles

Harry Styles

All of the guys in One Direction were good looking, but Harry Styles was definitely near the front of the pack. I don't know what it is about that hair, but the more unkempt it gets, the hotter he looks.

After his stint in the boy band, Styles went out on his own for a solo music career. He's released two albums so far--both of which went platinum in the United States.

Regé-Jean Page

Regé-Jean Page

Regé-Jean Page has made his entrance into the mainstream through his performance in Netflix's Bridgerton and left us all swooning for more! He not only captured Daphne's heart, but all of our hearts as well.

And let's not forget his character Simon's amazing line in season one episode five in front of the queen when he professed his love for Daphne saying, "To meet a beautiful woman is one thing, but to meet your best friend in the most beautiful of women is something entirely apart." Swoon!!
