The Most Famous Celebrities From Each State

Celebrities can seem like they live outside of the real world, and in some ways that’s true. They live constantly in the public eye so they have to go about their daily lives differently than us “normal humans” do. Celebrities will go to great lengths to avoid being photographed or have a meal in peace without being bombarded by fans. Who would blame them for wanting some privacy?

With all the glitz and glamour we see celebrities enjoying on a daily basis, it can be hard to remember that they’re regular humans, too, often coming from humble beginnings. J-Lo, Sylvester Stallone, and Jim Carrey all experienced homelessness before hitting it big. Many of your favorite actors didn’t even get famous until later in life. Samuel L. Jackson, Alan Rickman, and Morgan Freeman didn’t find success in Hollywood until after they were 40.

It’s also easy to forget that celebrities come out of small, backwoods towns just as often as they come from New York City or Los Angeles. Taylor Swift is from the small town of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Jessica Biel is from Ely, Minnesota, and Josh Hutcherson is from Union, Kentucky. They all just had the talent, drive, and opportunities to make it out of their towns and become a success story.

Celebrities are more like us than we tend to realize, often coming from situations that aren’t much different than our own. You might be surprised to find out which celebrities are from your state or even your hometown. Keep reading to discover which celebrities came from your state.
