The Top Hottest Aliens in Film

When it comes to aliens in movies, "hot" is generally not the first word that comes to mind. From E.T. to the terrifying Xenomorph from Alien, there are plenty of extraterrestrials out there who won't be winning a beauty contest anytime soon!

However, as strange as it sounds (and it does sound strange), sometimes you come across an alien in a movie that is just downright good-looking. And those aliens are exactly what we're talking about today. These creatures might not all come from award-winning, memorable films, but they all still managed to leave their mark thanks to their dashing good looks...or whatever aliens call it!

But don't worry, things won't be getting too weird. Most of the aliens considered hot are those that can mimic the human form or are simply humans from another planet—no one is lusting after the goofy little dudes from Close Encounters of the Third Kind. We may be ogling aliens, but we have at least some standards, you know!

Did your favorite alien bombshell make the list, or do they need a little more time on the mothership to freshen up their look? Don't abduct us if they didn't make the cut!

Let's get started!

Neytiri (Avatar)

Neytiri (Avatar)

Avatar wowed audiences when it was first released in 2009 and still remains relevant and beloved today, especially with the recent announcement of its sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water. Using cutting-edge motion capture CGI, the movie was animated but still used the likenesses of the real-life actors involved.

And one of the most memorable characters from the film was Neytiri, a native of the alien world Pandora (portrayed by Zoe Saldana). She may have had bright blue skin and might have been a completely different species, but that didn't stop people from noticing how strangely beautiful this alien was—and that's mostly thanks to what a gorgeous human Zoe Saldana is in real life.

Supergirl (Supergirl)

Supergirl (Supergirl)

Superman was such a hit in both comic books and movies that it was only a matter of time before the franchise got new and interesting spin-offs. One of the most famous was Supergirl, who first appeared in comics in 1959 and who got her very own movie in 1984.

In the film, the role of Supergirl went to Helen Slater, who's also known for films like The Legend of Billie Jean and City Slickers. While the movie got (deservedly) terrible reviews and ratings, absolutely no one was upset to see someone as gorgeous and svelte as Slater in a skin-tight superhero outfit!

Sil (Species)

Sil (Species)

When it was originally released in 1995, the sci-fi/horror movie Species did fairly well for itself. However, these days, it's not exactly at the top of anyone's "Best Sci-Fi Movies of All Time" list. The plot of the film revolves around a group of government scientists trying to catch an escaped alien before she can mate with a human.

The alien, known as Sil and portrayed by actress Natasha Henstridge, is one of the few highly memorable things about Species. Known for her hot and not gentle tendencies, this is one alien you don't want to mess with...but can't seem to take your eyes off of! S*xy never looked so terrifying.

Elizabeth Burke (The Faculty)

Elizabeth Burke (The Faculty)

1998's The Faculty was one of the last sci-fi movies of the 20th century, but you can still find fans of the thriller to this day. The movie follows a group of high school students as they attempt to defend themselves from their teachers who have been infected by an alien parasite.

One teacher that ends up infected is Miss Elizabeth Burke (portrayed by Famke Janssen). Before, she was a quiet and conservative woman; however, once infected, she becomes a much more outspoken bombshell! If there's one character that people still remember from this movie decades later, it's definitely Burke and her positively s*xy transformation.

Kitty (Cocoon)

Kitty (Cocoon)

When Ron Howard directed 1985's Cocoon, he didn't go the standard sci-fi route. While many films in this genre lean heavily into thriller and horror elements, this film instead turns to comedy and sentimentality. Thanks to these unique choices, it remains beloved by sci-fi fans, even all these years later.

The film follows a group of aliens attempting to live incognito on Earth, only to be discovered by the locals in their town. Kitty (portrayed by Tahnee Welch) is an alien who eventually falls in love with a human. While she has a fantastic story arc, there's no denying that she's got a fantastic figure as well! Is there a better combination than that?

Serleena (Men in Black II)

Serleena (Men in Black II)

Is there anything better than a s*xy supervillain? The combination of beauty and terror is one of the best things found in films—ask Men in Black II. Released in 2002, this sequel to the sci-fi comedy classic had one of the most memorable antagonists in the entire franchise.

Serleena is the shape-shifting antagonist of MIB2 and is portrayed by the iconic and gorgeous Lara Flynn Boyle. According to the plot, Serleena has assumed the form of a Victoria's Secret model and is searching for a mysterious power source here on Earth. Regardless of her motives, she has absolutely no problems using her looks to get what she wants...and we don't blame her one bit!

Martian Girl (Mars Attacks!)

Martian Girl (Mars Attacks!)

Mars Attacks! was a sci-fi movie that didn't take itself too seriously, and while it definitely wasn't the best thing ever made, it's become a cult hit among fans looking for a more humorous alien invasion. In the movie, most of the Martians have exposed green brains and bulging eyes, but there is one exception.

Known simply as "Martian Girl", this spy character from the film uses her "good looks" to infiltrate the White House by coming onto the president's press secretary. We know she's hiding a giant, terrifying alien brain under that huge wig, but honestly, we're kinda into it. In her human form, Martian Girl was portrayed by actress Lisa Marie Smith.

Padme Amidala (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones)

Padme Amidala (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones)

Most Star Wars fans probably wish the world would forget about the terrible prequel trilogy of the late '90s and early 2000s, but they exist, and they sure are...something. While a look at Darth Vader before his dark side phase sounds good on paper, most people consider these films one big, hot CGI mess.

However, in the second film, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, we get to see Natalie Portman's character, Padme Amidala, all grown up. Is she the most memorable character? No, she spends most of the movie being a politician in the Galactic Senate. However, Natalie Portman is a beautiful woman and we're not gonna complain when she shows up on our screens.

Constance Snowden (Decoys)

Constance Snowden (Decoys)

Do you remember the 2004 made-for-tv movie Decoys? Don't worry; neither do we! This lackluster thriller first aired on the Sci-Fi network and people almost immediately forgot it existed, despite the fact that it got an equally meh sequel a few years later. The movie follows a group of aliens who travel to earth to preserve their species by mating with men, which usually kills the guy in the process.

Kim Poirier portrayed one of the more memorable aliens, Constance. Unlike some of her other extraterrestrial sisters, she has some reservations about mating with men only for them to die, as she has fallen in love with a human man. Her good looks can't save this snoozefest of a movie all on their own, but at least she's quite beautiful to look at for 95 otherwise boring minutes.

Alice (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

Alice (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

Transformers got its start as a live-action series all the way back in 2007, and, inexplicably, the franchise still seems to be going strong, despite the fact that the only thing the movies have to offer is big explosions and beautiful women. In 2009, we got the sequel to the original film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

In this sequel, we're introduced to Alice, who, at first, seems like your average college student. Except, in a twist everyone saw coming from a mile away, she's actually a villainous Decepticon disguising herself as a human. She picked a beautiful disguise, no doubt, but good looks are about where her character development ends.

Princess Leia (Star Wars)

Princess Leia (Star Wars)

There's not a sci-fi series much more iconic than the Star Wars franchise, and there's not a character from the movies much more iconic than Princess Leia herself. Leia has appeared in many of the movies and spin-off series, and in almost every appearance, she was portrayed or voiced by the late Carrie Fisher.

Leia has had quite the development as a character over the years, but, let's be honest, we all remember this space princess for her good looks too—who could forget her bikini look in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi? Leia may have been much more than a pretty face, but she had beauty in spades too!

Celeste Martin (My Stepmother is an Alien)

Celeste Martin (My Stepmother is an Alien)

With a name like My Stepmother is an Alien, you know you're not getting a groundbreaking, thought-provoking film. This 1988 sci-fi comedy didn't get any love at the box office or from reviewers, but it's good for a couple of laughs thanks to its high-profile cast featuring Dan Akroyd, Jon Lovitz, and Kim Basinger.

As you probably have already guessed, it was Basinger who starred as the alien stepmom in question, and in true Kim Basinger fashion, she looked absolutely stunning for every painful minute of this otherwise-terrible movie. Hopefully, you've forgotten this decades-old flop, but when it comes to hot aliens, no one was better than Basinger.

Laura (Under the Skin)

Laura (Under the Skin)

2013's Under the Skin is not your typical sci-fi alien movie. This mind-bending thriller involves an alien known only as Laura who travels across Scotland, luring men to their demise. This film leaned heavily into its trippy vibe and generally received praise from critics, despite being a box office flop.

Scarlett Johanson starred as the mysterious alien hiding a terrifying secret, and viewers were particularly drawn to her standout performance of such a strange character. Also, in true Scarlett Johansson style, she looked absolutely amazing, even if her beauty as an alien was only skin deep.

Mantis (Guardians of the Galaxy)

Mantis (Guardians of the Galaxy)

The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise may not be pumping out timeless classics, but if they do one thing right, it's definitely their practical and special effects. These movies are a spectacle to say the least. And, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, we were introduced to a character that still managed to look beautiful despite being heavily influenced by CGI.

Mantis (portrayed by Pom Klementieff in the films) makes her debut in the sequel film as a bug-inspired member of the guardians. Despite the fact that this character has straight-up antennae jutting out of her head, you can't deny that this is one strangely beautiful alien.

Barbarella (Barbarella)

Barbarella (Barbarella)

Jane Fonda has had a wildly successful career in Hollywood, but one of her biggest hits will always be the 1968 sci-fi movie Barbarella. Fonda plays the title character, who, while technically a citizen of Earth, spends so much time bouncing around the universe that we couldn't help but add her to this list.

Whatever the plot of this movie happened to be, that all went out the window the moment the beautiful Fonda stepped onscreen. We've seen some hot and heavy movies in our lifetime, but the very "revealing" opening minutes of this movie still make us blush—this is definitely one classic to watch after the kids have been put to bed!

Inara Serra (Serenity)

Inara Serra (Serenity)

Inara Serra is one of the few aliens on this list who have turned heads both in movies and on TV. This character first appeared on the cult classic TV show Firefly and later made an appearance in the spin-off movie Serenity. In both the show and film, Inara is a Companion, who, for our purposes here, is basically an intergalactic escort.

The role of Inara Serra was played by actress Morena Baccarin. While she is still well-known for this role, she's more recently been in the spotlight for her role in the Deadpool movie. However, we don't think she's ever looked better than as this unforgettable Companion.

Leeloo (The Fifth Element)

Leeloo (The Fifth Element)

When it was released in 1997, the sci-fi thriller The Fifth Element got very mixed reviews. However, over the years, it has gained a cult following of fans who are more than happy to overlook the movie's weak spots. And one of the main reasons it has gained such a legacy is thanks to Milla Jovovich's portrayal of Leeloo.

In the film, Leeloo isn't just any alien—she's known as one of the Supreme Beings of the universe. And while she definitely plays an important role (if not the most important role) in the movie, many fans were drawn to this character thanks to her striking orange hair and good looks. Who knew that god-like beings could be so hot?

Diva Plavalaguna (The Fifth Element)

Diva Plavalaguna (The Fifth Element)

Step aside, Leelo, there's a new hot alien in town! The Fifth Element has become a cult classic over the years, largely in part thanks to Milla Jovovich's portrayal of the orange-haired supreme being Leelo. However, there's actually another hot alien in this film that has become famous with fans in her own right as well.

The diva Plavalaguna is a famous opera singer in the world of The Fifth Element and plays a significant role in the plot of the film. While all her tubes and weird head shapes are a little terrifying, you can't help but marvel at this blue beauty and the otherworldly singing voice she possesses.
