Prime Day is a great time to pick up a tablet, as you’ll likely be able to get an iPad for cheaper versus Black Friday. For Prime Day, there’s the Apple 10.2-inch iPad is Wi-Fi enabled and has 64 GB of storage. It is available for a mere $280, which saves you about $50 off the original asking price.
You can also pair this with the Apple Pencil, which is on sale for Prime Day at $70 – $30 off. The Pencil makes taking notes and drawing so much easier and also gives the iPad extra functionality. Black Friday just won’t give you deals like this, as you’ll be looking at models that are a lot older. And most Black Friday deals on Amazon are on Kindles rather than iPads.
Streaming is currently the most popular way to watch TV and movies. That being said, everyone needs some kind of streaming device if they want to view the best content. However, even if you have a smart TV, you may not have the availability of every streaming service on it, so a streaming device may still be necessary.
Black Friday is definitely the time to buy these devices. This year, Amazon is offering offered the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite for a mere $18. The Roku Ultra 4K Streaming Media Player is just $19.88 at Walmart. Other streaming devices to look out for deals are Chromecast, currently $18.99, and the NVIDIA Shield Android TV Media Player, on sale for $129.99.

While you can get pretty decent deals on smart speakers for Black Friday, most of the deals you’ll encounter are only going to knock off about half of the asking price. That may be good for you, however, if you are looking to have the latest Echo or Google Home but it’s still not the best deal you can get.
If you are looking for a smart watch, Prime Day isn’t going to offer you a whole lot. Your better bet will be Black Friday. Most discounts you’ll find on watches like the Apple Watch or Galaxy watches. Cheaper watches will not be worth your money, however.

If you are looking for some decent earbuds that aren’t going to cost you hundreds of dollars, Prime Day is a good day to take advantage of a sale like that. Wireless earbuds like the JBL Vibe 100 Earbuds offer up to 5 hours of listening time and charge right in the case like a pair of AirPods. You can get them for just $30 compared to the usual $50 asking price.
You can also save on AirPods too. The Apple AirPods Pro are usually $249, but you can get them for $180 on Prime Day, which is a savings of $69. Nice! While you might be able to find similar deals on Black Friday, you won’t find much better, so there’s really no sense in waiting.
Everyone loves listening to music, so pretty much everyone could use a nice pair of headphones for the holidays. Deals on headphones are usually pretty great, come Black Friday, and you’ll have a lot more options than you would for Prime Day.

Come this Black Friday, you’ll likely find many more options that you just won’t see on Prime Day.
