National Peach Pie Day: Smoothie Edition

If nothing says “American” like apple pie, nothing says “summertime” quite like peach pie. Can you beat the delicious, sweet peaches enrobed in a crispy, golden crust and topped with some vanilla ice cream? Mmm no. My mouth is watering already. While this godsent dessert may be a treat for your tastebuds, your figure will probably not enjoy it as much. Lucky for you, we have a solution. You can keep both your cravings and your abs happy if you tweak this recipe and turn it into a healthy (but still delectable) smoothie.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup nonfat milk
  • ½ cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened frozen peaches
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract
  • ? tsp ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of ground nutmeg
  • A pinch of ground ginger

For this one-step smoothie, all you have to do is throw everything into a blender and blend until smooth!
