Check Out Sneak Peeks
You’ve seen all that you can buy but hold on! There are a few tips we wanted to mention before you go off shopping. The first is that Amazon Prime Day has these things called “Sneak Peeks.” They’re ways to see what’s going to go on sale before it actually is able to buy for the discounted price.
Use these sneak peeks to your advantage. Know what’s going to go on sale before it even happens, and you don’t have to worry about missing out. A lot of deals only allow a certain number to be sold, meaning you could lose out on an item 10 minutes after the deal opens!
Don’t Trust Every Deal
Just because something looks like it’s a good price doesn’t mean it necessarily is. A lot of things on Amazon are artificially inflated so the sale price looks like it’s 75% off or more. The item itself may not even be that much! You can get around this using third-party apps or sites.
One of the best to use is CamelCamelCamel. It tracks the pricing history of items so you can check out what the actual price of the item is prior to Prime Day. It can also send you a price drop alert so you will get notified if something you want goes on sale during Prime Day.
Ask Alexa
Have you ever used your virtual assistant to go shopping? You might want to try after this. Amazon really wants people to start using Alexa more, so they’ve begun offering deals you can only get through your virtual assistant. It’s called “Voice Shopping,” and it’s becoming bigger and bigger each year.
Before you purchase items you want, check to see if they’re on the voice shopping list. Then you can ask Alexa to “buy 64oz Tide laundry detergent” or whatever you need! You’ll get the discounted price without moving a muscle.
Check the Amazon Version
Not too long ago, Amazon released a new line of products called Amazon Basics. These are items that are basically the company’s off-brand. Depending on what you’re getting, it could be much cheaper and of the same quality. On top of that, it might be more on sale, and that’s something we can all get behind.
Just be sure to think before you buy any Amazon Basics item. Some items may not be wise to purchase under the Basics brand. If you need it to hold a lot of weight or do something important, it’s best to go with a recognizable brand. At worst, you can also return the item, so there isn’t a whole lot to lose.
