If the weather is pretty, you can go on a Valentine’s Day picnic. In most cases, Valentine’s Day is a little too frigid to go outside, so instead, pack a basket with a blanket, a bottle of wine, and some finger foods from the fridge. Have a special lunch date with your significant other and enjoy some quiet one-on-one time with each other. It’s cheap and fun, and it’s romantic in a quaint and sweet way.

In lieu of gifts, a homemade gift can mean much more than an expensive gift from the store. Sometimes, just baking a batch of homemade cookies or writing a heartfelt letter is the best gift you can give your partner.
