Science questions should be a pretty easy field to answer; most questions will have definitive answers. There are legions of scientists, theories, and data to back them up. So, when a really dumb science question comes along, you have to jump on it like GummyRoach did.

"What does 'she wants the d' mean?"

"What does 'she wants the d' mean?"

Full Question: "What does 'she wants the d' mean? Hey so there is this boy I like Adam, and he's cute...Adam still hasn't asked me out but my friends tell me they hear Adam's friends saying stuff like 'Yo go for it Adam!' 'She wants the d.' So is this a good thing? It sounds like Adam might like me back and he's always nervous when we talk!! I'm probably wrong but I think d means date which would be cute because that means they know I want the date with Adam. Please help! The high school ball is coming up, and I want to finally ask him out."

Best Answer: "Sounds like a real swell guy. What it means when they say "She wants the D" it means Diamond as in the engagement ring. So they see you as future wife material. (p.s. nobody here say anything)."

The one thing we all need in our lives is good advice. And getting your facts correctly can mean the difference between what a relationship is and isn’t. Take poor Trixy (who claims to be 16) and what CrazyDan offers. I hope that a diamond ring was involved for this poor girl’s sake.

"If i eat myself would i become twice as big or disappear completely?"

"If i eat myself would i become twice as big or disappear completely?"

Full Question: "If i eat myself would i become twice as big or disappear completely?"

Best Answer: "That just blew my mind."

In the realm of health, nothing is quite as significant as maintaining a healthy weight. It’s a gold standard in living a long life. However, ScottKennymore comes along and bends the concept this way—and they’ve got a point. What happens???

"How was the routine of milking cows for milk discovered?"

"How was the routine of milking cows for milk discovered?"

Full Question: "How was the routine of milking cows for milk discovered? I know we all think this."

Best Answer: "Guessing, there was a cow molester."

In the history of the world, I’ve never asked myself many questions about the origin of farming or the techniques. But someone did, and well, let’s just say that Old MacDonald needs to address this. (Y’all, the mental image is too much)

"Should my dog learn to drive?"

"Should my dog learn to drive?"

Full Question: "Should my dog learn to drive? She is nearly 26 in dog years. She so badly wants to learn to drive, but is this a very good idea?"

Best Answer: "What state are you in? In some states being color blind will be an issue for her."

Pet care is critical to our pets’ wellbeing, and I can see where Yahoo! Answers would be a great platform for pet lovers to connect. However, if you ask a stupid question Chandra, be prepared for the blowback in the answers. Thanks to LynnPoint for pointing out the obvious.

"I went to England and they spoke American??? Why is this?"

"I went to England and they spoke American??? Why is this?"

Full Question: "I went to England and they spoke American??? Why is this? Also they copied our city names like Boston, (New) York, Birmingham and the state of (New) Hampshire!!! Why do they copy us!!! Also why Do they say david beckham is English when he's American???"

Best Answer: "Christopher Columbus, under the commission of King Washington sailed from Boston Harbor seeking a new trade route to Spain when he accidentally discovered the British Isles. He named the place England after the New England states in the USA. People in England are the direct descendants of American sailors and therefore speak American. David Beckham became an American citizen when he married his Posh Spice who is a direct descendant of Pochantas [sic], a native American. The United States has a rich heritage. American have migrated all over the world and populated all of Europe. Europeans are all descendants of the American peoples."

People who travel love online forums. They can connect with other travelers and swap stories and tips. Then again, sometimes you end up with a Randy who probably isn’t a traveler (or a history buff) at all. He literally replied to this nonsense with, "Very Informative."

"Is pepperoni pizza vegetarian?"

"Is pepperoni pizza vegetarian?"

Full Question: "Is pepperoni pizza vegetarian? My vegan friend always has pepperoni pizza he claims its [sic] vegetarian, because during the process of treating the meat and spicing it to become pepperoni that it loses its meatness. Is this right?"

Best Answer: "Uh, I would say your friend isn't really a vegan or vegetarian. Loses its meatness? That's hilarious. Does the cheese lose it's [sic] cheeseness when it melts? At what point does the crust lose it's [sic] crustness?"

Again, another topic that’s hot right now: the concept of veganism and what constitutes a vegan meal. For some of us, the answers aren’t always quite clear. People like David need to find better friends. Also, remember that vegan meats and meals weren’t highly popular 8+ years ago, so majnun99 was likely right. Also, note that true veganism means ‘no animal byproducts’ so the cheese should have been off-limits too.

"What law is pulling a sled behind a car breaking?"

"What law is pulling a sled behind a car breaking?"

Full Question: "What law is pulling a sled behind a car breaking? Me and my friends were planning on pulling sleds behind his car in un-plowed subdivisions, Im sure this is probably against the law, if it is which law and approximitely [sic] what would be the fine?"

Best Answer: "Darwin's law. Source: www.darwinawards.com/"

It’s hard to keep track of local laws, especially when a large snowfall has happened. If you’re from the South, everyone loses their mind. I have to believe that goblue0619 is one of those folks from the South and that their 4-wheeler was in the shop. Thank goodness for sydney_22_f, who knew where to steer them.

"Is the daisy powerline 856 good for squirrels?"

"Is the daisy powerline 856 good for squirrels?"

Full Question: "Is the daisy powerline 856 good for squirrels?"

Best Answer: "No, it is too long to hide in their nest and the trigger is too far forward for their paws to be able to hold and fire at the same time. Most of the squirrels in my hood just carry a small handgun, like a Glock 26 or 27. Hope this helps."

While gun control is a serious issue, someone had a lot of fun crafting their answers. My personal response is that yes, a daisy powerline will knock a squirrel out of a tree—don’t ask me how I know.

"Is the hunger games based on a true story?"

"Is the hunger games based on a true story?"

Full Question: "Is the hunger games based on a true story?" I was watching the hunger games. is it true? like did it happen to Nazis after WWII?"

Best Answer: "Not WWII. This actually happened right after the Pilgrims came to America. They took over the land and forced the Native Americans to participate in the Hunger Games. The reason why Pocahontas is so famous is because she was the winner of the first Hunger Games."

Nothing better than a group of people discussing a books or movies; this author highly encourages reading. But you have to know that if you didn’t hear about it in a history book, it probably didn’t happen. Take The Hunger Games for example…

"Is a pineapple a good gift in Japan?"

"Is a pineapple a good gift in Japan?"

Full Question: "Is a pineapple a good gift in Japan? say that I'm in Japan to visit a friend. is it fine to gift them a pineapple? is it better to gift it to them on a specific holiday?"

Best Answer: "I'm Japanese. Ummm...well...pineapple as a gift, this is not such a bad idea. Especially if you come from a country where pineapples are a major agricultural product. But no, let's be honest. Pineapples are a rather bewildering choice to receive as a gift. Frankly speaking, I would recommend that you go for something else...Pineapples are now a familiar fruit, readily available in supermarkets almost everywhere in Japan. There is no pineapple known as a luxury brand...It will probably baffle your friend."

Everyone always has that one friend who’s hard to buy for. Whether local or abroad, we can all agree that sometimes, giving is a hard concept—especially when your friend has everything. And friends, I feel it's important to note that this is a CURRENT ENTRY IN 2021; not one from back in the day.

"How do babies come out?"

"How do babies come out?"

Full Question: "How do babies come out of a vagina? I mean... the tubes are too small inside the vagina for a baby to come out of - and the vagina itself is too small to release a baby out of it - how does it come out?"

Best Answer: "You eat a lot of butter and the baby slilps out."

Where do babies come from? It’s a valid question and one much pondered by a younger generation. However, I’m quite certain this is NOT the right answer. And seriously, imagine the cholesterol you would have if you had three kids.

"I ate 10 donuts today but went on a 10 minutes walk, did that burn off the calories?"

"I ate 10 donuts today but went on a 10 minutes walk, did that burn off the calories?"

Full Question: "I ate 10 donuts today but went on a 10 minute walk, did that burn off the calories? Hello. I went on a 10 minute, fast paced walk. Did that burn the fat I would have gained from the 10 donuts I ate?" —Dr. Jeff Stevens

Best Answer: "An avg donut has 300 calories. So you took in 3,000 calories. Walking an hour burns about 300 calories so 10 mins would burn 50 calories. So only way you could burn 3,000 calories in 10 mins if you were pulling a 747 airplane along with you."

You would think with all the websites and calorie counters around, people wouldn’t have questions about calorie burning or exercise. Note that Dr. Jeff Stevens has no concept of either. Perhaps it’s time to get your money back for your degree, Doctor.

"Is porcelain floor tile pet urine proof?"

"Is porcelain floor tile pet urine proof?"

Full Question: "Is porcelain floor tile pet urine proof? I know it says water proof but I was thinking about the grout if urine gets on it. Will it be able to be washed off and sanitized? I thought about vinyl flooring but the urine would get into the cracks. I have carpet now and my dog won't stop urinating on it no matter what I do. And no matter how much I clean it it still stinks so bad so I'm sure that is why he keeps going on it. Is there anything better to get than tile?"

Best Answer: "no but ShamWow is. also who has a tiled bedroom, you deserve jail time."

It’s always difficult to be a homeowner—especially if you’re not that familiar with the care of your interior. Floors, for instance, all have such particular needs when it comes to cleaning. If you’re the anonymous asker of this question, you obviously need some help because your pet is untrainable. Props to Bryant who is there and offers not only product placement but commentary as well.

"Credit card in computer?"

"Credit card in computer?"

Full Question: "I wanted to see if my computer would read my credit card so I put it in the CD Rom and it got stuck, how do I get it out? I tried toothpicks but got lost in the process? The drive is making funny noises..Help???"

Best Answer: "On most PC CD rooms [sic] there is a tiny hole the size of a pin somewhere on there. Power down your PC and then push a paper clip or pin in there, hard. It will manually force it to open. Get the credit card, toothpicks, shoe horns and whatever you stuck in the [sic] and slide it closed again. As for your CD Rom? Probably ain't gonna be that healthy anymore but you never know. I expect an invite to the next party."

In the age of online transactions, it’s important to realize that this was a novel idea just eight years ago. People shopped in buildings in person. So, imagine if this happened to you?

"Where are you going after yahoo answers shuts down for questions?"

"Where are you going after yahoo answers shuts down for questions?"

Full Question: "Where are you going after yahoo answers shuts down for questions?"

Best Answer: "I am gonna go outside for the first time since June 28, 2005 and see if any of my friends are still alive." —Antoine

All this talk about Yahoo! Answers has me thinking, what will these legions of people do without the platform? Thank goodness there’s Antoine with an answer for that as well.
