History is full of people who have made a major impact on the world. For some people, they had a really good impact on everyone around them. Take Gandhi, for example. Gandhi stressed the importance of economic independence for India from strict British rule. He also fought for the rights of the poor through non-violent protests. This type of protest is still revered throughout the world today. It even encouraged modern-day protests to be non-violent rather than riotous.

Then, you have people like Joseph Stalin. Stalin was the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. He killed millions of people during his reign and became known as one of the scariest, most violent leaders the world has ever seen. Many people even compare him to Hitler, and it’s easy to see why.

Whether good or bad, we eventually learn to recognize these people by their pictures or statues. They have huge historical importance that should never be forgotten. That begs the question, do you think you could identify historical figures by their picture (or statue)? We’ve gone all the way back to Aristotle, so we hope that you know your history well enough to tell these historical figures apart.
