Meet the Wives of Your Favorite MLB Players

We love everything MLB whether it's the sport itself, the crowds, hotdogs, beer, snacks, and everything else that goes with sitting in the stadium watching our favorite teams. After sitting through one game and experiencing the atmosphere that comes with it, it's easy to see why baseball is still called the great American pastime.

It's so awesome that some countries have even tried to mimic it! Did you know that Japan is just in love with baseball as we are? We're glad to see the sport spread all over the world. The difficult thing is that the MLB took a break for a bit there. Well, thankfully, now that things are under control, we get to see our favorite stars knock the ball out of the park. Boy, are we definitely in need of an escape!

Now with baseball season upon us, it's time to reflect on the biggest names in the MLB. Many of the greatest MLB stars would not be where they are without the right support system. Some of your favorite MLB athletes have had a woman by their side that kept them going. And it's about to meet those women. Who are these essential women behind the scenes? Let's meet the wives of your favorite MLB stars!

At St. Amant High School, he earned a 3.5 GPA and got a scholarship at Louisiana State. A winner on the field and academically, he also managed to score a wonderful wife.

He is married to Lauren Anderson, now known as Lauren Brignac, a model that has appeared as Playmate of the Month in July 2002. Additionally, she appeared in a 2008 issue of Playboy Spain. She is also an active PETA member, advocating for the rights of animals, and even protesting the American meat Institute's Annual Hot Dog Day. Two years after that, Verlander popped the question and they married in 2017 after he won the World Series with the Houston Astros. Their incredible wedding was in Italy, where they honeymooned all over Europe afterward.

Manny Machado, four-time MLB All-Star and third baseman for the San Diego Padres, married Yainee Alonso in 2014. The couple actually met through Yainee’s brother, Yonder, who also plays in the MLB!
