Poison Dart Frog
The poison dart frog is a beautiful, multicolored frog that can be found in Central and South America. While these amphibians look amazingly adorable, don’t attempt to pet them. As their name indicates, these frogs are extremely toxic to humans. On average, the frogs carry enough toxins to kill 10 to 20 men!
Wolverine
Wolverines look like tiny, cute bears. Bears are dangerous though, so it stands to reason that wolverines would be too. Why are they terrifying? Wolverines have enough strength to take down animals over 10 times its size. How big is that? Well, they have been documented killing moose and caribou. So, yeah, they could easily kill a human.
Chimpanzee
Chimpanzees are the closest genetic link to humans of the animal kingdom, but that doesn’t make them any less dangerous than other animals. You might see them as playful primates, but they’ve been known to kidnap and kill human babies on more than one occasion. The apes also have a habit of “hazing” rites for other monkeys, violent and potentially fatal displays of aggression.
Tasmanian Devil
Tasmanian devils are adorable little marsupials that are native to Australia. Their fur is black with a little white stripe across their chests, making it look like they’re wearing small uniforms. While Tasmanian devils are fairly timid creatures, they’re also insanely protective. They don’t attack humans unless it's for self-defense, in which case they can be very vicious and dangerous. Added bonus: They're often carriers of rabies.
Pufferfish
Pufferfish are some of the cutest ocean dwellers known to man. Their goofy little smiles are contagious, but they’re not as innocent as you’d like to think. Almost all pufferfish contain a toxin called tetrodoxin, a substance that is extremely deadly to humans. In fact, it’s as much as 1,200 times more poisonous than cyanide. In a single pufferfish, there is enough toxin to kill 30 adult humans. Worst of all, there’s no known antidote.
Giant Panda
Giant pandas look like big, lazy teddy bears, but don’t get near them. The bear’s jaws can apply more than 2.5 tons of pressure, and its claws are vicious. They look cuddly, but have been known to attack humans, resulting in disabling injuries and sometimes death. Look at these adorable teddy bears from afar.
Honey Badger
With a name like honey badger, they have to be sweet. Watching them lumber around makes you fall in love with them instantly, but don’t be fooled! Honey badgers are extremely smart and nasty little creatures. They easily take down venomous snakes without any hassle, and because honey badgers lack fear, they're known to attack bee hives and birds of prey with their sharp claws and teeth. Maybe they're not so sweet ...
Platypus
The platypus is a hilarious-looking little creature seemingly made of random animal parts. The little guy's name is even weird, and there is no doubt that this thing is adorable. Sure, they're cute, but they're also venomous! The platypus is one of the few mammals that can produce venom, which can be extremely painful to humans. Males have spurs on their hind legs that secret this dangerous substance during mating season. These things are the epitome of the "look but don't touch" rule.
Slow Loris
Due to aww-inducing viral videos that have spread around the internet, many people have wanted to own a slow loris. Unfortunately, they’re not the harmless little creatures we all think they are. While their eyes make them seem innocent, slow lorises actually have a toxic bite! The toxin comes from a gland located on their elbows. The slow loris licks the gland, coating its needle-like teeth in the toxin and unleashing its bite when frightened. We're just gonna stick to watching videos of this little guy.
Hedgehog
Hedgehogs are the most precious prickly creatures on the planet, with their little mouse faces and tiny little grabby paws. They look so cute, but you might be surprised how they can mess you up. The quills clearly look like they might hurt, but they can do more damage than you'd think if they puncture the skin. They often carry germs that can cause fever, stomach pain, and rashes. They've also been known to carry salmonella! This is one cute little guy you should look out for.
